In Posts jetzt ein paar mal "Pferdeschinderfestival" oder dergleichen gelesen. Finden viele hier den CHIO tatsächlich schlimm? Gibt's dazu auch persönliche Anekdoten oder kommt die Ablehnung hauptsächlich von Leuten, die noch nie was mit Pferden zu tun hatten?

Will indisch kochen und dazu gerne Naan servieren aber nicht selber backen.

wir bauen gerade ein Einfamilienhaus in Jülich (Lindenallee III) und suchen zuverlässige Handwerksbetriebe für alle Gewerke. Da Bewertungsportale oft wenig aussagekräftig sind, frage ich lieber hier – persönliche Erfahrungen sind Gold wert!

**Gesucht werden Betriebe für folgende Gewerke:**

- Erdarbeiten / Tiefbau

- Rohbau / Mauerwerk

- Zimmerer / Dachstuhl

- Dachdecker

- Fenster & Außentüren

- Sanitär & Heizung

- Elektro

- Estrich, Fliesen, Putz, Maler

- Pflaster / Außenanlagen

Was uns wichtig ist:

- Zuverlässigkeit & Termintreue

- Transparente Kommunikation & ehrliche Preise

- Saubere, qualitativ hochwertige Arbeit

- Idealerweise Betriebe aus dem Kreis Düren / Jülich und Umgebung

Wir sind noch in der Planungsphase (Baubeginn Sommer 2026) – aber je früher wir gute Kontakte haben, desto besser.

Falls ihr schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht habt, könnt ihr das auch gerne teilen – negative Erfahrungen helfen uns genauso weiter!

Ich suche aktuell nach einer guten Fahrschule in Aachen, um meinen Nicht-EU-Führerschein umschreiben zu lassen.

Kurz zu mir: Ich hab den Lappen schon ein paar Jahre und bin regelmäßig gefahren, bringe also ordentlich Fahrpraxis mit. Dementsprechend brauche ich eigentlich nicht viele Fahrstunden und würde das Ganze gerne so schnell wie möglich hinter mich bringen.

Mir ist super wichtig, dass die Fahrschule fair ist und einem keine unnötigen extra Stunden aufquatschen will.

Habt ihr da Empfehlungen oder gute Erfahrungen mit bestimmten Fahrschulen gemacht, wo das Umschreiben schnell und entspannt klappt?

im a 19yr old uni student coming to aachen for a trip (from end may to beginning june ish) and am looking for places thats good for studnent night life! places to start off the night (like bars and pubs) and also some clubs!! any night of the week is fine (like some places do mid week events?) and places that are also good on friday/saturday!!

Manche erinnern sich vielleicht noch an „Club Zero“ in Aachen, am Neuen Kurhaus (1978 bis 201?..)

Ich war damals noch nicht am Start, aber habe mir Youtube Videos und Zeitungsartikel zum Schuppen rausgesucht - für die damalige Zeit und überhaupt war der Ort schon ganz interessant. Die Leute hatten Spaß, es gab keine Smartphones, es wurde wild getanzt und es kamen sogar Besucher von weiter weg, nur um in dem Club feiern zu gehen. Wahnsinn, kann man sich kaum noch vorstellen.

Wenn man ehrlich ist, gibt es mittlerweile ja kaum einen Ort, wo man als „Nicht-Student“ hingehen kann. Entweder ist alles maximal Mainstream orientiert oder eben für Studenten. Das ist schon echt traurig, wenn man bedenkt, was damals im Club Zero so los war.

Wer den Club betreiben soll, wurde lange diskutiert. Es gab Ausschreibungen, Verhandlungen, etc..

Doch wer wird den Laden betreiben???

Was für einen Club würdet ihr euch wünschen?

Hello, I am a student and new in Aachen. This is my 10th semester as a master's student, and I am left with thesis and one course. I know I am taking so long to finish the course because i did internship in between and one year i did thesis in a company which i failed. Now i want to do extension in two months and i want to know will it create a problem. will they extend the visa? Also may i know how hard is it to get the termin here?

p.s. I just live in Aachen but my university is from other city

So I've lived in Aachen for about four years now. I'm not a very social person, but as soon as I get comfortable, I can be a fun person to be around. I've managed to make really close friends from my home country here in Aachen, but this has created a comfort zone that has made me less eager to create other international friendships. Now I feel like my German is stuck at a surface level, and it's not getting any better. I feel so disconnected from the country that I live in, and I also feel like I'm missing out on learning about different cultures and getting to know various people. I think diversity plays a huge role in someone's development and offers a chance to break free from the stereotypical bubbles that you see in memes and such.

Hallo Leute. I would like to know where would be a great place in Aachen to work. Ideally a place where I can make some calls, some place not too silence not too busy.

Also unrelated, where do rich people to in Aachen? If there are any?

I just wanted to get some things off my chest.. I am an International (non-EU) Student doing my Masters at RWTH. I came here to Aachen/Germany so excited for the opportunity, and I'm so grateful I like the University and my course and am working hard towards my goals! :) But it is SO LONELY! Plus, getting a spot in the dorms was near impossible for me, so I'm in a WG, with a roomate and building mates that don't talk to each other AT ALL, it feels so surreal and alienating...

In my program, most people just vanish after the class ends.. Even at the Working Student job at the company, co workers are polite for sure, but not really social with me and quite visibly don't include in conversations during lunch and afterwards.. I so sense some subtle racism in the way they talk down to me as well :/

I am an introvert by nature so it takes a lot for me to put myself out there socially in the first place... But still I don't want to be isolated/alone so I do go to Uni social events sometimes and socialize/mingle with people and it's nice to meet new people but I feel like contacts/exchanges fade away so quickly and become strangers again, which is fair I know, everyone is busy...

It's just that I can't take it anymore, being alone in a foreign country without family/support system managing studies, work, and living on my own independently and all the tasks that come with that.. It's severely affecting my mental health and I am thinking of going back home, all my hard work down the drain :(

Yes, I know there is typical other things I can do like go seek counselor/therapy or join a University club or something, but I don't really have the mental capacity for that anymore..

I don't know I can't help but feel this way... Can anyone relate?
