How is Zeri not weak?

To preface I'm plat so this might not be the fairest examination

But

Zeri has no passive, has a 1.5 AS cap with horrible conversion, her potential is locked behind R, loses most 1:1 interactions, has a small range, and every auto is a skillshot that gets blocked by minions without your e. In return you go fast (on your R)- which I agree is amazing... for as long as you don't look at the damage numbers because you turn out to be a moving ward at best. Building literally anything feels miserable. Laning is larping as Sisyphus (especially in solo Q with a random supp) and the late game is so underwhelming compared to last patch Zeri.

I love this champ and the way she plays but I picked her up to have potential to carry games for my team, now I potentially will make my toplaner ask for what reason I am playing this champ.

Please help 😭

First data from Coachless of patch 16.9

Sample sizes are still quite low, but I think it is safe to say that Statikk Shiv is garbage on Zeri. Stormrazor into Runaans is probably the way to go, but there is not enough data yet to filter for specific build paths.

Will Zeri get buffed?

With the passive auto range being fixed/increased and likely due to other factors (not building statik) her win rate has climbed from 46.5% to 47.5%. Do you think that this calls for a buff and if so what buffs would you like to see.
The main ones I see being done are likely increases to her damage, but I would like to see q range increased instead but I feel like the wouldn’t do it.

Zeri wasd

i'm a long dated adc main that recently started getting back on the game, since i didnt play in a while i decided to give wasd a try.
i always hated kiting with zeri compared to other adc but after trying wasd i simply love the champion, i thought the transition would have been atrocious but honestly after a few games im starting to really get it.
having your Q on mouseRightClick is simply amazing and makes kiting feel so good, i suggest anyone to give it a try.

Zeri's zap build up passive should just be an energize effect IMO

Hi Zeri mains!

With the new rework on zeri focusing on her moving faster I've been having quite fun on a move speed related build with feet footwork, statikk shiv and stormrazor. Sure you lose some damage compared to an optimal build, but god is it fun to zoom around.

Anyways, with energize effects being more available than ever, and Zeri's passive zap literally working just like energize, why not also make it an energize effect, so that shiv can make it stack faster?

Zeri is after all everything about electricity and charging up her zap by moving and attacking, just like how the energize effect works.

So, why not just give her extra synergy with energize, kinda like corki passive gets bonus effect on spellblade items?

Zeri Ult Duration not actually bugged

Yesterday I made a post about what I thought was a bug, but turns out I was misinformed. The description of her ult in-game is not as detailed as it is on League of Legends Wiki, but there is clearly says that the duration is not reset to 5 but increased by 1.5 seconds.

I Do still have a complaint though about what led to my misunderstanding: The remaining duration of the ult is visualized around the ult icon. The icon is surrounded by a full square at first, of which the line disappears over time. When you increase the remaining duration from let's say 1.5 to 3 seconds, my expectation would be that the line of the square increases from 30% to 60%. But instead it goes back to 100% and then just disappeas quicker in the following. Very unintuitive imo.

How i get not poke or low on zeri in tf?

I really love the direction riot guys are taking with Zeri right now, but I do have one issue, in my game no matter how well I kite, how perfectly I position myself on the map, or how consistently I deal damage I feel like I take way too much damage, even when I'm positioned almost perfectly at the absolute edge of my Q range. I was wondering if any of you have an item or build suggestion that could help mitigate Zeri's lack of defensive stats specifically for those games where diving into a teamfight means I might manage to kill one enemy, but if I stick around any longer, I'm guaranteed to die.

Best build right now?

What’s the best build now after the changes? And what are the most optimal runes now?

Is conqueror the best rune now that her attack speed conversion is nerfed? I mean LT kinda works like conqueror since she gains ad instead of attack speed past 1.5.

How good is this build?

SHIV > RUNAAN> STORMRAZOR> IE> The last two depends on the matchup also I sell shiv when I am full builded.

For runes I use fleet and inspiration

edit: I forgot to mention I use the onmivamp boots it gives good sustatin on lane after shiv

Zeri Q is no linger aoe

What that means?

Well it means that the omnivamp works fine on her q on monsters and minions

But... that means that zyra's plants are fine and you no longer one shot them...

Ult Duration Bug

When you let your stacks of Overcharged expire, the remaining duration gets significantly shorter once you refresh it. This bug was already present on PBE and I reported it, but looks like they did not fix it. Maybe posting it here will will draw more attention.

Build calculator for Zeri

https://i.redd.it/qb17qog7tlyg1.gif

With the recent changes to Zeri and some of her items, I thought I'd share my 'combat sim' project LoLSim. You can create builds, set up a scenario and ability sequence, and get the exact damage output, down to every unique champion interaction and item and rune effect.

Hopefully this can help settle some debates on rune and item choices! For demonstration, here's a quick comparison of Conqueror vs LT (level 9, 1 item): https://www.lolsimulator.com/#/saved/LDP4KN - if you mess with the time, you'll see that LT only starts to pull ahead after about 8 seconds (at least in this scenario).

Let me know what you think and if you have any issues or questions!

I would trade even more early game power for late game range

I really like the changes they've made to Zeri for this season, it's a huge step in the right direction and makes her feel so satisfying to play in longer teamfights again. Saying that, I wish that instead of giving range on Zeri passive they could've added a scaling effect to her q range.

I mean they buffed her early damage with the base damage increases and nerfed her scaling. I would much rather they nerfed her damage overall (old base stats with the current ad scalings) whilst having a Jinx like effect on her q where it gains range on level up (maybe just at 5 points in q like how Mundo ult has a special effect at lvl 16). Surely this wouldn't be too problematic, she would have a bad lane and would have to decide between maxing q first for the extra range or her w.

I mean the main reason her q range was originally nerfed was the safety it provided in laning so she could free scale. Doing something like what I suggested would not give her any more safety until level 9 minimum. Even then you could make it tied to the ult instead so you get 25 q range for each point in ult or something rather than her q levels.

Idk, I'm just hypothesising a change that would really make Zeri feel like her old self whilst not taking over pro or being too strong.

The greatest patch of all time

I don't care what anyone says, AP Ezreal was and will always be the only way I can enjoy playing the champ (same for Zeri)

I am lightning moment

I am still tepid about the changes but I think I am slowly figuring out how to make it work and it is indeed cool to be able to have moments like these again even if rare. This in NA Master tier post hard rank reset.

Q being locked to quickcast has been reverted

There's was a patch today to fix the range increase on zap not working. Playing the game I've accidentally found out that Q isn't forced quick cast anymore. Now I can press shift + Q to see the range of my ability once again, praise be.

All my problems with this new patch.(for zeri)

  1. To start off from when i could remember i used quick cast indicators for q and my excitement faded the second i loaded up into a game to see that q auto casted and because i always played with it it makes me hate the feel that it gives off i hope that it could return next patch as its so awful to my senses at least (placebo for damage)

  2. I love the movement that zeri now stacks with ult but i feel that the stray away from the burst that she had at least a bit early has taken a toll on me, I like the character but i like being aggressive at the start as i see it as high risk high reward. now zeri feel boring and unplayable for the first 20 mins like im throwing rocks at the enemy.

  3. STATIC SHIV was my favorite item of all time, it was cheap and it gave great burst for early fights and it also was great with wave clear as it w as made for that, now the item stat wise is great and the cost increase doesn't really worry me but the fact that it became energized and has only 1 usage is so bad and a change that was not needed, its now not wave clear its just the on hit aoe item and i hate it, when im under enemy towers and want to just get a plate the energize now gets used on the tower and it bonces onto enemies and the tower starts to target me making the gameplay with shiv on zeri unplayable anymore (Im also sad about the burst part but i can overlook it if it still had 3 zaps) losing some of the stats or changing the on hit passive a bit to bring back 3 zaps would fix most of the problems i have as the main build i was going and found great success was shiv-runane-IE-hexoptics-ldr-bloodthurster and now i dont see the point going anything expect stormrazor for ms)

I hope some people at least agree with this im pretty sad about these changes overall.

suggest some builds pls im lost at this point

My Zeri Build Patch 26.09

Hey guys! I’m an Emerald Zeri OTP; my peak was D4 (before I took a break from the game, haha).

The new patch has completely broken her, the movement speed is just insane. I wanted to share my thoughts on her new build with you.

I’ve experimented with a few different setups, but the one I currently prefer is:

  • First Item: Statikk Shiv
  • Second Item: Rush Stormrazor

With these two items, you get a massive amount of movement speed and wave clear, plus that first energized attack hits really hard. This is your core. I’ve found that Statikk offers much better survivability than Yun Tal during the laning phase.

The wave clear from Statikk is a game-changer for Zeri's weak early game. It allows you to "cheat" your recalls by shoving the wave instantly, ensuring you don't get stuck under tower or forced into a bad dive while you're low on HP or mana. Just play it smart and don’t "run it down."

Statikk is also much easier to build than Yun Tal. Yun Tal requires a B.F. Sword (1300g), and after playing it for a while, I noticed I often fell behind simply because of that awkward build path. Statikk’s components are much more forgiving and let you power up incrementally.

  • Third Item: Berserker's Greaves (ignore my last game, I misclicked! xD)
  • Fourth Item: Infinity Edge (This is situational, read until the end)

Infinity Edge is essential to spike your crit damage. The fifth and sixth items change every game:

  • If you’re fed and they have no tanks: Go for Bloodthirster 5th and Experimental Hexplate last. Hexplate is what truly makes you "fly" around the map. Once you have it, you’re almost unkillable, but I think Bloodthirster is more important for the raw damage output first.
  • If you’re against tanks: Consider Lord Dominik’s Regards or Mortal Reminder (obviously, go Mortal if they have lots of healing).
  • If you’re behind: After Stormrazor and boots, I suggest going straight for Dominik/Mortal Reminder before finishing Infinity Edge.

For your final slot, choose between Hexplate or Bloodthirster depending on the enemy team. If you struggle with spacing, go for Bloodthirster for the extra sustain.

Let me know what you think! I’m really curious to hear what you guys are building :)
