I was surprised when I heard it had a female voice actor lol I don't even remember if they ever said it in the manga
EDIT I know women voice male characters, but in the episode Bunbun's voice was high-pitched and cutesy, and it sounded like the character was female, not the VA doing a male voice. I'm watching the anime in Japanese. No idea about the dub
This part really reminded me of that iconic scene from Azumanga Daioh
It gives off a very similar vibe, maybe it’s even a subtle reference. What do you guys think?
It's what I have to do with anything new. It sucks but it's manageable and being addressed.
Can someone please explain the anime to me and major plot points, lies/ deception, etc. I'm having difficulty finding any real breakdowns online.
I know it may ruin it for others who read this so that's why I lead with needing spoilers in the title for those who come across this.
Thank you.
Oh my god I cannot get over these two aliens tsugai who have a dog as their master
This anime has been truly amazing. Since FMA is my favorite anime/manga, when I heard this was coming out, I was super excited. I’ve never read any other work by this author but when I started watching this show, her writing bleeds through like crazy. It feels so similar to FMA in so many ways. I haven’t been this excited for the next episode release in years. It’s making me itch to just read the manga but I don’t want to spoil the anime because it’s so damn well done.
Someone talk me out of reading the manga until at least season one is finished…. I know it’s probably even better but damn is it hard to find manga adaptations this good. Every character is interesting , the animation is wonderful and the story is full of intrigue.
Rant over. Just wanted to share my thoughts on how much I’m enjoying this show as I’m sure many others are.
So this is just a ramble but I've started reading the manga after having seen the first couple of episodes of the anime and OMG it's so peak. I've just finished ch17 and I'm loving it so far. It feels so similar to fullmetal alchemist but still unique. It's great, the story is interesting, the world is cool and the characters are fun. I'm just having a great time with it so far. I have so many thoughts and theories, I'm so excited to read more. Yeah that's it for now. Just wanted to share :))))

I just wanted to point that out in case anyone else noticed (or to clarify whether im crazy or not)
Gabby has a taste for wierd foreign names...
If she ever have children, she'd pick some "catchy western names" instead of "boring Japanese names"..
Gabby is literally a genderbend Edward
And Yuru looks identical to Alphonse
Now, hear me out... By the end of the story, Yuru and Gabby will get married, have a pair of boy twins who look like their parents, and she will name them Edward and Alphonse, convincing Yuru that these are common names in the "lower world" 😂 😭
Rereading through the chapters, the events leading up to Asa breaking the barrier of Higashimura goes like this:
And, when she meant to break only Yuru's arrow, instead broke the entire wall, Asa apologizes because she is still getting the hang of it. Implying, the time between her "first" death and her breaking Higashi village's barrier was merely a day or two. Maybe, even hours, who knows? Asa is murdered, resurrected, lost an eye... yet instead of resting, she immediately rushes to rescue Yuru with a power she never asked for.
And, now you get why Gabby so mercilessly massacred all those villagers. It is one thing to see your friend so hounded by assassins she has to live in house arrest for her life; it's another to see your friend actually be coldbloodedly murdered by said assassins for absolutely no fault of hers. That too while Asa is visiting the hospital. A hospital. A hospital that is supposed to be a neutral zone even in wars.
