Hello guys, I’m in my 2nd year of college and I really need your honest suggestions.
For the past 4 years, I’ve been waiting to get my first bike. Now finally the time has come. The bike will be used for my college commute and also for my dad’s office work.
My parents are ready to give around ₹1.1 lakh and they’re suggesting I go for the SP125 (drum brake) — simple and practical.
But honestly, I’ve always dreamed of owning the XSR. I have around ₹70,000 saved from my pocket money, so if I add that, I can somehow manage it.
Also guys, you can understand — I’m in college, still young, so looks also matter to me… and honestly SP125 utna exciting ya standout nahi lagta 🥲
The thing is, I don’t want to regret my decision later. I come from a middle-class family, so I also want to be responsible.
👉 So what should I do?
Go with the practical SP125 or stretch my budget and go for my dream bike XSR?
Please share your honest opinions and experiences 🙏
Still haven't seen too many of these in Mumbai.
This bike's been a real head turner
Hey everyone, just wrapped up a 3-day getaway to Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar and wanted to share how the XSR performed two-up!
The Setup:
As you can see in the pic, my metallic silver XSR 155 is pretty loaded up. Since I was riding with a pillion this time, I specifically installed a new luggage carrier and a backrest. The backrest was an absolute game changer for my pillion's comfort on those winding ghat roads. The carrier handled our bags effortlessly without throwing off the bike's balance or making the rear feel too heavy in the corners.
The Ride & The Trip:
We based ourselves out in a Hotel in Panchgani. The wooden cabin/tent vibe there was incredibly relaxing, and it was the perfect quiet escape from the Pune heat.We spent most of the trip just taking in the outdoors. No trip up there is complete without the mandatory strawberry-themed stops! We grabbed some fantastic pizza, loaded up on fresh strawberries, and spent the late evenings just unwinding by the resort pool.
Final Thoughts:
The XSR handled the climbs and the extra weight beautifully. It didn't feel sluggish on the inclines, and the pillion setup made all the difference for a fatigue-free trip. If you're on the fence about touring two-up on this machine, getting a solid backrest and a proper luggage rack is 100% the way to go.
XSR is beautiful machine.. only seat needs to be made comfortable.
Is it worth buying an XSR155 for ~2L, considering it's a 155cc bike and what it offers to the user?
The total cost was ₹1,94,456 and for me it is worth every penny. It was such a fun ride from the dealer to home.
Hey guys completed 600kms in a day.. and yeah the bike handled well, cruising at both 120 and 90 but the mileage turns out low than compared.. when cruising at 120 it was giving me around 40 kmpl and it dropped to 38s when cruising at 90 plus without vva idkwhy that happened
Hi guys... Finally I got my Yamaha XSR155 black Variant 2 days back. It's soo lightweight and very easy to handle. This is my first bike so I don't have any idea on engine performance in new bikes. I'm seeing that when I try to push my bike to 40-45Km/h I'm hearing some noise kind of thing in front region. I feels like engine is struggling and I heard a sound which is similar to some paper / plastic got stuck in the wheel but it's not. When I shift my gear to 4 and then drive in 45-50 it's good. but after sometime I feel like the engine is struggling based on the sound but engine is able to push. Is there any issue with the engine. Till now I'm driving in the range of 3000-4500 RPM's. I don't know about this guys ? Can anyone give some of your thoughts or ideas ?
I have driven my bike at afternoon from clg to house covering 15km 420km ridden totally is this normal?
Man why there is no grab rail like this in India. I want this and didn't find anything like this.

Mostly use it for my daily commute and sometimes going for a short tour here and there, this machine feels so agile and smooth.
I have ridden it in the normal 30kph to 60kph range and I have no complaints. Occasionally pushed it beyond, and even touched 120kph once, still as smooth as it is at 40.
The VVA kicks in post 7k rpm and as soon as it kicks in, the bike comes alive as if it's driving itself.
Having so much fun with this.
She has been a delight.
Hello guys,
Please suggest some good looking crash guard for xsr.
