Hard to recommend YT when they ghost you on a warranty claim for an $8k bike. Hey YT, how about honoring your commitments to current riders before trying to sell new bikes?
Customer support should be as premium as the price tag.
I used an imbus to try to fix the dropper because it doesnt actually work when i press the lever (is this normal? are there any other steps? there is nothing in the manuals about the installation and no youtube videos) so i could pull the string which i thought maybe will fix the dropper but now the bolt i circled in the picture is not tightening fully and the lever is wobbly, did i just ruin my new bike?
UPDATE: Yes it was broken, but its because they overtightened it and destroyed the threads before i pried it open (thats why it was so difficult for me to loosen it), or at least thats what my mechanic said. anyway, he managed to get the bolt to stay in place with some mechanic magic and its all good. also, the dropper wires were loose and thats why it didnt work in the first place.
TLDR: never assemble a bike yourself if you lack experience no matter how simple it may look. in this field, things can go very bad very quickly and are very expensive.
Hello guys!
Has anyone increased the travel on their Jeffsy to 170 mm? I saw on the website that 160 mm is recommended, but I’d like to hear from someone who’s gone beyond that.
Did you notice any major changes in how the bike feels or handles?
