A just recent blue's post from Kaivax has announced that Housing will be temporarily disabled. Please be patient as they work to get this corrected.

"During our routine testing with realms offline to deploy the new patch, we discovered a critical bug in Housing that would cause unacceptable errors for some players.

Fixing this bug is a top priority for us, and while we work on it, we’ve decided to open realms on patch 12.0.5 with Housing and Neighborhoods disabled in this region (The Americas and Oceania).

Once we have a fix developed and tested, we will perform an additional brief maintenance in this region to bring Housing back online for everyone.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding."

Some players (myself included) keep having this bug where the walls keep flipping back, when you try to rotate them upside down. This was extremely frustrating to me, until I figured out this really useful fix! Let me show you how I do it, in this video!

Presenting a venue for Alliance and Horde tavern roleplay on Moon Guard (Wyrmrest Accord RPers welcome as well)! Any Old Port is the establishment owned and operated by the retired sea captain Dloin Stonehammer, and is located at 28 Orchid Vale (Founder’s Point).

TAVERN NIGHT - Saturday, May 9th

Bring a friend or two to Any Old Port’s tavern night! These events are open to the general public to come and go as you wish, Horde and Alliance alike. With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, including a private dining room (Silvermoon themed!) and two cozy patios.

Dloin Stonehammer owns the tavern, and is often found behind the bar. Like any good tavernkeeper, he might have an odd job or two for enterprising adventurers.

Trivia begins at 8pm, with housing decor awarded to the top 3 players with the most correct answers!

Want to drink the night away and not worry about getting home? Any Old Port also has several inn rooms available for rent!

I'm building a little D&D room in my house and I'm looking for ideas. I'd love to be able to put down some things that look like dice and random paper to scatter on the table.

I'm debating scaling down wooden platforms to simulate walls for mini dungeon tiles, but they're still really big so I feel like it'll be both tedious and not quite look right.

I'd love some suggestions and inspiration, this is still a work in progress and I'm mainly focused on making the table and accessories look good right now.

Just a quick shoutout to the Housing team for the wonderful technical work they did on ground detection. Truly the fact that you can intuitively and easily put together virtually any combination of objects and end up with a walkable surface enables *so much* creativity. It's one of those "you don't know the water until you've left your fish bowl" things. I've enjoyed many games with player housing and building systems and this is #1.

I know its not as big and extravagant as some of the builds I've seen, but my goal was "small and cozy" using mostly tiny square rooms. I still need to detail out some shelves and decorations inside, but overall, I'm really happy with how the interior turned out.

The exterior/yard are still a work in progress.

This is plot 7 in the Alliance hood.

This is my Gilnean noble housing on the Alliance side, built to represent Grim Rose Manor, ancestral seat of House Grimrose on Thornrose Isle, north of Gilneas.

The exterior is a classic dark Gilnean mansion made of the finest Gilnean timber, with steep Victorian-style peaked roofs, ever-lit oil lanterns, and massive rose vines climbing aggressively across the dark wooden façade. Twisted, gloomy trees press right up against the walls, their branches reaching just below the many balconies. The whole place has a permanent dim, eerie atmosphere even during daylight — perfect for that cursed Gilnean noble vibe.

Inside, the Main Hall is heavily inspired by the Great Hall of the Freys from the Red Wedding scene. Long wooden tables, banners of House Grimrose (black field with silver roses and golden thorns), dim candlelight, and a heavy, oppressive atmosphere that screams "something bad could happen here at any moment." It’s elegant, but unmistakably menacing.

Perfect for dark noble RP, political intrigue, shady deals, or even hidden druidic corruption plots.

RP / Lore Section – House Grimrose

House Grimrose rules the island of Thornrose Isle (Rosaleda de las Espinas), north of Gilneas. The island has around ten thousand inhabitants who live from agriculture, cattle raising, and fishing. However, the house is most famous for its excellent sweet wine produced in sun-kissed vineyards — a true luxury export. Their true wealth, though, comes from ancient gold mines that have belonged to the family for generations.

They also maintain a small but formidable navy: 5,000 seasoned sailors and 20 heavily armed warships with black sails and dark timber, still waiting for their first true battle to defend the island.

Ashrose Manor stands in the middle of a vast, gloomy forest of twisted trees where even daylight feels dim. It is an imposing Gilnean mansion with steep roofs, perpetually lit lanterns, and great rose bushes entangled across its façade. The trees grow so close that their branches brush beneath the many balconies from which Lord Grimrose sometimes steps out, gazing at the full moon… either waiting for it, or fearing it.

Valturan is the eldest of three brothers. The youngest, Lucian, lies in the family crypt beneath the manor. The middle brother, Maekar, fled Gilneas long before the Curse struck. He fell in with the Scarlet Crusade and is now known as one of their champions. Nothing has been heard from him since.

Valturan was married to Lady Rosaline Blackvale. She and his brother were both lost during the Forsaken invasion. They had three daughters: Emil, Rumi, and Leonor. All three have recently fled the manor, unable to tolerate their father’s current radical policies.

Lord Grimrose has officially deserted the Alliance and severed all ties with the Kingdom of Gilneas. Years of abandonment, abusive taxes, and the final insult — a lasting peace treaty with the very same Horde and Forsaken who murdered his wife and brother — have pushed him to this breaking point.

He now walks a dangerous path… one that hides a much darker secret beneath the noble surface.
