Help fight Project Tango AI Data Center!!
Western Palm Beach Community Alliance is throwing an educational fundraiser to raise awareness about the dangers of Project Tango AI data center, proposed to be built in Western Palm Beach County 1,500 feet from an elementary school and residential neighborhood.
We all have to come together as a community to fight this. There is now a second application for another MASSIVE AI data center on the same property.
This problem is not going to go away! These are the first of many data centers trying to come to PBC.
Come out, show your support, listen to some educational speakers, partake in a raffle, and eat some good BBQ!
The more we can come together and organize as a community, the stronger we will be in the fight against this!!

Guests Pay Restaurant Party?
Looking to host my moms 70th birthday party at a restaurant in the area for about 30 guests, but where guests can pay for their own food. Willing to drive up to 30 minutes outside WPB. Ideally enough space for everyone to walk around and chat with each other. Thanks!
Anybody know some place I can park for 5 days free in Lake Worth???
I'm Seeking a free temporary parking spot for my Sprinter van (5/16 – 5/21) around lake Worth??
I’m heading out on a short 5-day trip this Saturday and am looking for a safe spot to park my Sprinter van while I’m away. I live near Jog and Lantana, and heading north right after this trip.
I’ll be back the following Thursday to pick it up and head out on my next adventure. If you have some extra room on your property or business or even though some place that it would be fine sitting 5 days. I’d greatly appreciate it!
I'd also be more than Happy to clean up the whole area before I leave to leave it. Looking better than when I park there or if you need it the lawn mowed I would be happy to help.
Just looking for a place I won't get a ticket that's all.

Project tango data center
So this was pushed back in December but this data center stands to absolutely ruin quality of air, water and introduce a unhealthy amount of noise and light pollution in an otherwise very rural calm area off southern blvd. We let them know once let’s make sure they heard us though. They are trying to lure big tech to downtown west palm beach and turn this into the next silicone valley, and idk about you guys but I don’t think our environment can handle much more of an influx of people. The wild spaces we have here in Florida are being taken from us on a daily basis by developers, if you value your home get on the phone and make some calls and emails so this can be avoided.
Potentially dangerous neighbor
My lovely coworker whom is an older woman, was venting to me earlier about her neighbor whom shes very terrified of. Apparently he messes with not only her, but other people in the neighborhood, specifically targeting hispanic groups. He threatens them, gets nasty and verbally abuses them, follows them around outside making them extremely uncomfortable. It’s gotten so bad that one family had to put a restraining order against him. My coworker herself is afraid to leave the house. Her yard worker had to quit because he wouldn’t stop harassing him. She calls the cops on him repeatedly, but the cops aren’t able to do much. Surely there is a way to get this to stop without getting lawyers involved. Im not exactly looking for legal advice for her, but if thats the only option, i guess she has no choice. Could they possibly contact the city council? Could he get marchman acted? Im honestly pretty unnerved by what she told me, as she’s an older woman who feels helpless. Maybe someone dealt with something similar?
Closing in on 1,000 FL native shade trees planted at Dyer Park in WPB!
Community Greening’s second-to-last Dyer Park Tree Planting is in the books, and we’ve now added more than 900 of the 1,000 Florida native shade trees to the park!
There’s just one final planting left on June 6th to complete this transformational project, and we still need volunteers to give us a hand - details at communitygreening.org/events.

Unknown Dog / Flamingo park
I’m new here but there’s a dog without a collar and seemingly roaming without purpose in Flamingo park. I told a park worker, but I’m not sure whether anything else has been done.
Just feel bad for the pup.
Moving in WPB
Hey everyone, I (24M) will be moving to WPB in July. I don’t mind commuting a bit, but I would prefer to stay in the WPB area.
Does anyone have recommendations for apartment complexes or condos that are safe and reasonably affordable? I don’t know any locals there yet, so I figured I’d ask here for advice.
I’ve been reading older posts, but it’s been a little confusing trying to figure out which areas are actually "nice/safe" versus just “okay.” Are areas around Okeechobee Blvd or Belvedere Rd generally good options?
Thanks.
Credit Union
Which credit union do you guys recommend? I am not interested in big name banks unless they had some really good benefits.
My current (out of state) credit union is paying around 4% interest for dividends currently, so if there’s any here that do the same, I’d love to hear about them!
Why I’m Preparing to Leave the Life I Built in WPB
There’s a strange feeling that happens after months on the road.
You return home… but home no longer feels quite the same.
After traveling throughout the United States and spending time across Portugal exploring the very real possibility of relocating, I came back with more clarity than certainty. I discovered places that inspired me, communities that energized me, and moments that made me realize how little we actually need to live a meaningful life.
Somewhere between quiet coastal towns, winding roads, conversations with strangers, late sunsets, and countless cups of coffee in unfamiliar places, I began to understand that the next chapter of my life may not be rooted in one permanent destination at all… at least not yet.
So now begins another phase.
Over the next several months, I’ll be simplifying. Selling many of my belongings. Letting go of things collected over decades that suddenly feel heavier than they once did. Not because I’m running away from life here — but because I’m trying to make room for whatever comes next.
For now, I’ve decided to keep my home and rent it out while I continue exploring the world more intentionally. Portugal opened the door to that possibility. Next on the horizon: Mexico… and Greece.
This is no longer just travel.
It’s research for a life redesign.
And honestly? There’s something incredibly freeing about realizing you don’t have to have all the answers before taking the next step forward.
The journey continues.

Ithink Financial Amphitheater ticket question.
I made the mistake of waiting too long to purchase pitbull tickets for Thursday. I was wondering if anybody knows if they hold a certain amount of tickets at the box office for day of tickets. Has anybody had any experience with this? The box office phone opens at 12 day of the show, but I don’t want to risk it.
Just trying to find the cheapest option out there.
iThink Amphitheater Question
I'm going to my first concert here soon. I purchased tickets in Section 1, Row M. There were no warning tags. Now I'm seeing other seats in Row M that say "obstructed view"... I don't see anything in photos that could be an obstruction. Am I gonna be able to see?! Please help.
Does anybody know any upscale lounges in West Palm or Palm Beach that have a similar vibe to Harry's in the 360 Rosemary building?
The bar/pub that will be open for the Scottish old firm match this weekend at 7 am
Sneaker stores that carry Extra wide sneakers
Are there any stores around that have a decent selection of extra wide shoes available? I have been to Dicks and also shoe stores in both Wellington mall and Boca mall and they usually only have one kind to choose from and are usually uncomfortable. I'd prefer running shoes as I walk around 75-100 miles a week at work alone. If anyone has any leads even if it's out WPB I am open to going further away.
Thrift Stores?
I'm going to a long time friend's wedding this summer and need a new dress. Dress code is 'as formal as you're comfortable with' and before I drop a lot of money on a dress from a website I'd love to go back to my broke girl roots and check out thrift stores to see if there are any treasures. Any people recommend? Must be more economical than the $150 dress I have my eye on online or what's the point.
