Are these Raccoon or Cat tracks in the carpet?

Hi all. It’s been an exhausting day. Raccoon’s broke into my grandmas house while she was gone and while cleaning we discovered they were very much still there. They are currently (hopefully) isolated to the chimney at the moment.

We had thought they had only ventured in the living room downstairs as that’s where 100% of the mess was but as I was checking up stairs I found prints in the carpet. We aren’t sure if they are from my grandmothers cats (who are isolated in her bed room now) or if the raccoon’s really did come up stairs.

The lat few images are from down stairs and are 100% raccoon for comparison.

Thanks!

Spin Off Shows/Episodes

Curious what the masses think: I saw the post (story?) on the Insta about Steve and Morgan’s Spin Off show for home renovations?? And it got me thinking: who among us, myself included, isn’t as big of a fan of the Weird Here to Help episodes or the idea of spin offs? And before anyone comes after me, I just simply don’t listen to those episodes when they come up. I stopped subscribing to the Patreon months ago bc it was just flooded with extra stuff in that general direction and I just don’t love that the show has gone in that direction. I’m a LONG time listener (episode 15 was my first and it was the most recent episode released when I started), so the show has definitely taken a turn from where we started.

TL;DR - Curious what everyone else, long time listener or not, thinks about the spin off episodes/shows

God just be inventing new people every day.

Oh my fucking god. A grown-ass man that ON A REGULAR BASIS brings a sandwich AND the bottles of condiments into the bathroom and turns on the shower for the steam to make it relaxing? How do people even put up with this shit?

EDIT: Found a grammar mistake.

In defense of Rick Steves:

I worked for the guy from 2012-2017 guiding the exact three-week multinational tours that the first caller on today's ep (281) is describing. My heart genuinely sank hearing Gareth's representation of him.

Rick is the most generous, empathetic, and progressive guy in the travel industry, and remains to be the best boss I've ever had; I only left the company to work on an advanced degree, and would likely still be there if not for that goal. His team is incredibly well-compensated, without relying on tips from tour guests to pay his guides.

Some of his travel philosophies are certainly rooted in 70s hippie backpacker culture, but he's adapted them appropriately over time as his core fan base has aged with him. The "duffel bag" the caller is referencing is likely one of these, a large backpack that's certainly large enough to accommodate three weeks of travel - particularly the non-luxurious, carry-your-own-stuff vibe of RS tours. Nothing worse than carrying multiple roller bags up steep, narrow steps or down cobblestone roads - a trip or two to a laundromat is worth that tradeoff, IMO

Rick's also incredibly politically active in some ways Gareth would love; he recently championed WA's "millionaire tax", one of the most aggressive tax-the-rich policies in the country right now. He spent millions last year to purchase and operate a large homeless shelter. He's essentially the reason marijuana was legalized so early, and so progressively, in WA. One of the few rich guys doing it right.

I know I'm overreacting to a Gareth bit, but I felt inclined to set the record straight.
