Washing machine gunk help

I’ve just moved into a rental. After running a cycle there was black gunk at the bottom of the washing machine. So I took a look under the agitator and found a lot of nasty looking buildup and some rust.

Is this something that can be cleaned out to the point of being ok to use? Also makes me wonder what underneath the drum looks like. It’s a stacked washer dryer combo and looks like it’s all one unit, so I’m not able to take the dryer off to remove the drum.

I’ve tried running cycles with vinegar, bleach and baking soda (not at the same time!), also Affresh cleaning pods. None of that did much. Seems like it will need manual cleaning, but would like to know if that has a real possibility of solving the problem before I try cleaning out other people’s gunk.

Thanks!

This Maytag washing machine that came with my house stretches out, tears, and eventually destroys clothes. It doesn't have an agitator, just an impeller on the bottom. It typically entangles the arms of shirts and legs of pants all together and they come out in a giant mess. It seems like it doesn't use enough water. Even if I put it on bulky or deep water wash it doesn't fill up enough. What am I doing wrong?

Hi my Hoover 10Kg H-Wash Washing machine has stopped working.

The power goes to the machine but there is no display. The door is locked with washing inside. When you turn the dial it makes three bleeps but does not do anything else.

The model is HWB410AMBCR

Any ideas how to fix it?
