Hello, I 21f am starting my program in August. I transferred in 19 credits, and have 102 remaining (34 courses). I will post the photo showing which classes I have, but was wondering if it’s possible to get done in 1-2 terms?
Hi. I started 4/1/26 with just a couple transfer credits. I have accelerated more than I imagined and have 8 courses left. If I stay on track, I expect to be done before June possibly. I am planning to take the MBA asap. I have been told that I can't start it until October 1 - -after this current semester - even though I will be done so early and am a cash paying student. I am worried about losing momentum! Has anyone else been in a similar situation? TY.
Started April 1st and submitted my final task on the 28th! I went into the program hoping to finish in 6 months. Excited for the next steps! YOU CAN DO IT!
Hello everyone, is anyone accelerating through the new MSIT Program? I'd love to hear how it's going. I'm hoping to complete it in 1 term, but I already have 3 courses transferring over from the BSIT.
I’m waiting for my final classes to be graded at Sophia and will be enrolling at WGU for a BSSCOM. For anyone who has taken these classes, any tips or advice you can give? Anything is appreciated
So close to the finish line, but yet so far lol I'm just glad I got all of the non-accounting courses out of the way.
To anyone wondering about accelerating:
If I can do it, you 100% can. I have absolutely no prior accounting experience. (Didnt know exactly what accountants did until about two years ago (and still didn't completely understand).
In high school, I was in honors and AP classes, but now I'm 28, been out of school for 10yrs, and honestly started to think I was getting kinda "dumb" since I wasn't actively strengthening my brain. Proved myself wrong with the Accounting program, though!
My WGU journey and nightmare is finally over. I've completed my whole degree in 4 months while working full time. I can finally rest before starting my masters. I already work as a Senior DFIR analyst so this was more knowledge reinforcement. Feel free to AMA.
Transferred in 21 courses and looking forward to finish in November 💪🏾
Welcome to r/WGU_AIEngineering, a community for current students, prospective students, alumni, faculty, and professionals interested in the Bachelor of Science in AI Engineering at Western Governors University.
WGU recently launched the official B.S. AI Engineering program page, which is now a great starting point for learning more about the program, admissions requirements, curriculum, and career outcomes:

Looking forward to building a strong AI engineering community together!
I posted this on r/WGU. Just wanted to share on here and thank everyone for the support with your posts and comments that helped navigate this term! Never felt alone on this journey. Good luck all on your journey!
Healthcare Admin major, 2 PA's and 1 OA! I am such an anxious test taker and assignment submitter but I think i did pretty good for day 1!!
Celebrating a small accomplishment in my journey with WGU.
I knocked out D253 Values-Based Leadership in 2 days including evaluation time.
Happy May (basically May already) to all the new, existing, and former WGU students. We would like to take the opportunity to plug two Discord communities for your WGU (pre-, current, and post-) educational journey. Whether you're currently enrolled, recently joined, or exploring WGU as a potential student, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved and connect with others walking the same path as you!
The Unofficial WGU Discord has over 15,000 members and averages 3,000+ messages per week. We have a large FAQ channel, a ton of resources to help with PA/OAs, as well as a dedicated military/veteran community. We have channels and support for all 4 Colleges at WGU (Health, Education, Information Technology, and Business) with quite a lot of engagement by current students and alumni.
It's free to join and a good complement to reddit for information and resources related to WGU, so why not check it out?
If you happen to be a Computer Science or Software Engineering Major at WGU, there is a more focused Discord server that is highly recommend. The WGU CS Discord has over 5,000 members with dedicated channels for each course in the programs and highly focused discussions relevant to CS and SE students and alumni. It is ALSO free, so check it out too if you are interested in CS/SE.
Support for Degree Programs: Each server has multiple resources and forms of help. Each server has a plethora of FAQs, general/Major/career discussion channels, individual course focused threads, and even places to discuss hobbies. This is the perfect space for participants to connect, collaborate, and share valuable resources.
Organization: Both servers have taken a unique approach to organizing the servers it to make it easier for you to navigate and find the resources and discussions relevant to your studies.
Rich Resource Pool: Our communities are filled with valuable resources, notes, and helpful insights shared by fellow students who've walked the path you're on.
Master Resource Sheets: A huge resource hub of guides, videos, and tips exists for both servers.
A more interactive chat experience: Unlike reddit or Facebook groups, Discord is an interactive chat platform. You are far more likely to have running discussions and conversations on Discord than either reddit or Facebook.
Share Your Wisdom: If you've found a resource or strategy that's been particularly helpful, share it with the community!
Engage in Discussions: Your insights and experiences can be invaluable to others. Don't hesitate to join the conversation!
Ask Questions: Stuck on something? Ask away! There's no such thing as a silly question and you might just be surprised how many others have had the same issue/question.
So, what are you waiting for? Come join us on Discord for conversation, collaboration, help, and fun. We have it all.
92 CUs slated to finish within 80 days of Term 1.
Grinding everyday and weekends. Also brought in a lot of experience. Transferred 18 CUs from a community college about 10 years ago.
I know WGU recently updated some courses—like the algebra and Intro to IT—and moved them over to PA instead of OA.
I started my term on March 1, so I’m already mid-term. My mentor is checking if I can update those two courses to the new versions.
Honestly, I don’t think it’s a big deal, but it would probably save me 2–3 weeks if I could do the PA versions instead of the OA.
Has anyone been able to update courses mid-term after an update like this? Any success or pushback from WGU?
