KU or Kstate

I don’t post on here often so I don’t quite understand the format of everything, but I’m a high school student from the KC area looking at both KU and Kstate. Ive been a Kstate fan my whole life but KU seems to have a lot of fun things to do as well. I’m looking to do Kinesiology on the pre-med track and Ive basically heard that it doesn’t matter where your undergraduate degree is before something like KU med. I value student life and am introvert who’s a little more outgoing than the rest of introverts as I wanna have a fun time in college and I appreciate both small town and big city vibes. So my question to you all is what school did you like better, what are the differences, and what do you all recommend?

So due to my home circumstances, I am going to KU with basically no support and no one actually knowing that I am going. I've always wanted to go to KU, and if I wasn't 18, this would kinda be classified as running away. I won't know anyone there, and I'm going up with very limited resources (no car, only $1,000, basic necessities,) and I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced what I am doing, how it has went, and overall general advice

I've received enough scholarships that it would basically be a free ride and cover almost everything, so the main thing I have to worry about is getting housing for the summer so I'm not homeless, and just getting to know resources that I can use.

Is Canvas still down for everyone else?

I checked this morning and a lot of schools have canvas back up across the country, is canvas still down for everyone at KU? I'm very worried about this as I'm an online student who has two assignments due tonight, and two due tomorrow!

Canvas situation

Hey guys, I’m really anxious and just wanted to see if any of your professors are responding to your emails ? I’m not sure if we’ll get extension on assignments and exams.

Dorm lottery

Hey everyone! I'm an incoming freshman at KU, I got group 27 as my dorm selection number, would this be good enough to get into Downs? I'm going to be a music major so I want the closeness to Murphy hall.

Thank you!

Guys... I got one of these. you might too. Someone is using KU professors emails to try to get people to click the link and get ransomware or enter their passwords by downloading some malware. PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS. Tell your friends.

Restaurant recs for graduation weekend?

I’m looking for restaurant recs for graduation next weekend on Saturday for a group of 8, vegetarian friendly, and accessible parking (trying to avoid parking and walking for a bit with older guests). It’s next weekend so I feel like all the good restaurants are booked up!

I’m coming from KC and did my program online, so any and all advice is appreciated! I’d also be open to restaurants on the way to Lawrence.
