Mechanical Eng acceptance?
Is it still possible for me to get an offer at this point? I applied for mechanical Engineering with an 80 average and haven’t heard back yet. I have other acceptances but Windsor was my first choice.
is the biochem and biomedical health any good?
I gotten an alternative offer instead of nursing. My avg is around 84 so it’s slight below average, so I was wondering if anyone has insight for this degree since I’m curious! Thanks!
Has anyone heard anything back about acceptance or rejection? This is my third year applying. I got waitlisted both years but heard back in February the first time and March the second. This wait is absolutely killing me
Confused between MoM Data Analytics at University of Windsor and MBA New Brunswick. Could anyone please suggest which is better in today's market. I already have a BTech CSE and MTech Data Science in India.

If I already have a Bachelor of Computer Science – Software Engineering Specialization from UWindsor, but I want to become an actual engineer. Can I transfer credits to Western Engineering in London, Ontario for Software Engineering? Would I still need to start from first year, and would I graduate with an engineering bachelor’s degree?
Hey! I’m looking at possibly transferring to Windsor this Fall, however, I’m an international student, but have been in Canada for a pretty long time. I just haven’t really heard much about the city of Windsor and the school overall. The little bit I have heard is the school is pretty middle of the pack, which is perfectly fine, in terms of education, facilities etc. The little bit I’ve heard about the city is it’s pretty run down and not super great, plus the crime i hear about every so often.
Can anyone actually from Windsor and a student provide their honest opinion in terms of cost of of living, the school, ideal places to live etc?
For reference I’m 27 so that might change a couple of things.
Thanks!!
Has anyone or do you know someone who actually won a prize?
Just out of curiosity
I applied to several Canadian universities for Fall 2026. I completed my bachelor’s in IT and have a decent profile (not extraordinary): IELTS 7.5, CGPA 7.55, 2 backlogs, no major projects.
After getting rejected from University of Ottawa and Carleton University, I honestly lost hope for Queen’s University because they were taking a long time to make a decision.
Meanwhile, I got admitted to the Master of Electrical and Computer Engineering program at University of Windsor. Since it felt like my last realistic option, I accepted it and paid the $4000 CAD enrollment fee around 10 days ago.
Now suddenly Queen’s has sent me a department recommendation for their non-thesis MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and my next step is paying $500 CAD deposit to move to final admission.
Now I’m extremely confused.
My situation:
- Already paid $4000 to Windsor
- Queen’s asking for $500
- My sister lives in Ottawa, so Queen’s is much closer
- Losing $4000 would hurt financially
My questions:
- What would you choose: Windsor or Queen’s?
- Is Queen’s significantly better for career opportunities in tech/ECE?
- Is there any realistic chance of getting any part of Windsor enrollment fee back?
- Should I pay the $500 to Queen’s just to keep the option open?
- If you were in my exact position, what would you honestly do?
Please give practical advice, especially if you’ve attended either university or know how these deposits usually work in Canada.
I’m looking for real-world advice, not just rankings.
If I study Computer Science, I can work in software engineering, but it may be limited for hardware roles.
If I study ECE, what career options would I have? For example, could I work in software engineering, hardware engineering, embedded systems, robotics, or electronics?
I want the most flexible degree between software and hardware. Which one would you recommend: CS or ECE?
Also why can’t people just mind their business and not sneak around other people’s stuff ik it’s my fault but still isn’t it just basic manners to not steal stuff ugh im so pissed
which should i choose and why (windsor is the only one i wouldnt have to move out for)
Hi, I'm going into my first year in September and I'll be living in residence. I signed the residence agreement, paid the deposit, and answered the questions that were supposed to help me match with roommates. But, I can't find where to see other people also looking for roommates. I looked it up and it says it opens June 1st-8th but that seems like way too little time to pick roommates. Is there anywhere I can look in the meantime? like discord servers, reddit communities, etc.
Hello! I currently just finished my first year, and I'm trying to plan out my second year courses.
For my fall semester, I have to take orgo with Jim green, genetics with Isabelle barrette-ng, and ecology with dan mennil. Along with statistics which im taking online and a easy elective which i havent decided yet.
However, I heard the first 3 stem classes r very time consuming and hard and so are their labs. Im also going to be doing extracurricular's alongside school such as volunteering and lab stuff, so I was debating whether or not I should take ecology later in third year or not.
I also wanna note that this first year having 3 labs a week was kinda hard for me in regards to time management 😅
Any advice is appreciated. Thx
My brother is abroad and he cannot access his uwinsite to drop a summer course. He tried everything, he can’t even log into his outlook account to send an email to his prof. He didn’t know this would be the case before leaving. I tried logging in for him and it didn’t work. How can I help him to drop the course?
Which one is a better choice in 2026 for a grade 12 student who likes coding but looking for a future proof career computer science software engineering or electrical engineering??
Thank you
I'm planning on taking 2 online electives (not pre-reqs) next semester. Want to know if this will be seen by med schools or not on our transcript, and if it is will it be seen negatively?
Does it count towards med school requirements? Im confused cause its a art elective
I was waitlisted for a course that has a bunch of seats open. So I was waiting for the Open Enrollment day (May 1) since I assumed I would be automatically enrolled in the course but that didn't happen.
Do I just need to wait longer or did I misunderstood how open enrollment works?
