If I already have a Bachelor of Computer Science – Software Engineering Specialization from UWindsor, but I want to become an actual engineer. Can I transfer credits to Western Engineering in London, Ontario for Software Engineering? Would I still need to start from first year, and would I graduate with an engineering bachelor’s degree?

Thank you

If I study Computer Science, I can work in software engineering, but it may be limited for hardware roles.

If I study ECE, what career options would I have? For example, could I work in software engineering, hardware engineering, embedded systems, robotics, or electronics?

I want the most flexible degree between software and hardware. Which one would you recommend: CS or ECE?

Hello everyone, I have a question about computer engineering at the University of Windsor.

I originally applied for computer science because I enjoy coding and am interested in working in software engineering. However, I recently came across a program called computer engineering. From what I understand, it seems like a combination of computer science and electrical engineering, but I’m not entirely sure what it involves.

When applying, I also chose general engineering so I would have flexibility in selecting a specific field later. I tried to find a dedicated computer engineering program, but I only saw something called Electrical and Computer Engineering.

However, I’m confused because I can’t find any program called Electrical and Computer Engineering on the university’s future students page where all the programs are listed.

I’m not sure how this works—is it a double major, a single combined program, or a major in electrical engineering with a specialization in computer engineering?

Could someone please clarify this for me?
Thanks
