Quietest SxS options

Just sold my Commander and am on the hunt for a more work based SxS. One of the things I really didn’t like about the Commander was how loud it was. I’m interested in the enclosed cab Defender HD9 but I also drove my friend’s CF Moto and it was incredibly quiet. I’m thinking something along those lines. Just curious what opinions are for some of the quieter rigs out there.

Maverick Trail - Going Big

Hit this jump today and ever since the clutch housing shakes when I take off in H. L and R are fine as is revving it in N. Hopefully it's just a bad belt, but the way it shakes im worried it might be something more expensive.

Torn between a new XPS Rzr or a KRX

Anyone with the new xps yet that has anything bad to report on it? Trying to decide between it and a Krx used mainly for rock crawling and slower technical trails.

Help deciding on new rig

Hello,

Currently between a 2025 x3 XRS RR with smart shox or a 2025 RZR Pro S Premium. Which would you get a why? They’re priced similarly but not sure which to get, I like the screen on Polaris but I hear suspension is better on can am. This will be my first side by side and would prefer whichever is more reliable. Will not be modding engine or suspension at all. Thanks

Aluminum trailer mounting option

Recently bought a Polaris Ranger 1000 eps as well as an aluminum bottom utility trailer.

My question is securing the ranger to the trailer. There’s tie down points on the outside of the trailer but they’re not the best angle and don’t seem super secure. They were secure enough to get it home from the dealership but for longer drives I’m not sure how well it would do. For the guys using these kinds of trailers what’s been the best way to secure your side by side. I’ve looked at the tire chalk kits but don’t know if I want to drill through aluminum, any advice is appreciated.

50 inch or regular

Now, I've read all about the differences in comfort, space, and suspension travel, but that's not my main consideration. I think.

I'm looking for a used sxs to use for yardwork (5 acres) and hunting in forests and wooded areas. We won't be doing any trail riding or rocky off-road. Need a tiltable dump bed.

I'm wondering what the best way to go would be.

50"

Pros:

  • will fit on the bed of my truck (I have an electric truck, and charging with a trailer attached is a PITA)
  • can stretch my budget further because I won't need to spend another $3000 on a trailer
  • narrow and nimble for going through the woods

Cons:

  • can't fit the dog

Regular sxs + trailer

Pros

  • can fit the dog on the bench with us
  • bed is wider and fits more stuff
  • can use trailer for other stuff

Cons

  • need to spend money on trailer
  • charging stations are difficult to access with trailer

Regular sxs + atv

Pros

  • ATV will fit in bed
  • Can buy something more specific for yardwork like a Tracker OX, Electric SXS or Golf Cart with bed
  • Won't need to buy insurance or pay registration/taxes for the SXS

Cons

  • can't really think of one

Any other ideas or comments?

Why don't we see more electric UTVs by now?

Seems like electric has been around for quite a while now, but very few options out there. What gives? Are the typical buyers not interested in electric or is it too expensive?

Im a sucker for electric in the right application, not always, but if someone has 30 acres for example, and they don't need super long range, electric seems like a great option. Winter can affect range but lots of people don't ride as much during really cold temperatures. Electric is whisper quiet and loads of torque, also very controllable.

What are your guys thoughts?

FYI : Commonwealth of Pennsylvania V. Devilbiss

Content: Commonwealth v. Devilbiss 478 MDA 2025 (01/08/2026)

Facts: On October 26, 2024, the defendant was observed driving a side-by-side (off-road) vehicle on a public roadway in Northumberland County. The vehicle displayed a Montanna “quadricycle” registration plate. The defendant had registered the side-by-side through an LLC that he had created in Montanna.

The defendant was cited for violating 75 Pa.C.S. § 7721 (Operation on streets and highways). The defendant contested the citation citing 75 Pa.C.S. § 1303, (a) (Vehicles of nonresidents exempt from registration). The defendant was found guilty of the summary offense at the magisterial district court and ordered to pay fines and costs. A summary appeal hearing was subsequently held in the Northumberland County Court of Common Pleas. The Court of Common Pleas affirmed the summary conviction. The defendant did file an appeal.

Issue: Did the summary appeal court err in denying relief regarding the summary conviction under 75 Pa.C.S. §7721, (a) when the defendant was entitled to operate his motor vehicle on Pennsylvania roadways as a matter of law under 75 Pa.C.S. § 1303, (a)?

Ruling: The Superior Court affirmed the conviction, holding that the foreign vehicle exemption in § 1303 only applies to out-of-state residents who comply with their states registration requirements.

UTV Gun Case

Hi All - I bought a Honda Pioneer 520. It is primarily a hunting use case. I’m wondering if anyone has gun rack recommendations. I’ve looked in the typical spots online and I don’t see what I would ideally like. I’m thinking the two gun soft case that attaches to the back of the cage behind the seats. Usually has a shotgun, rifle and occasional AR. Your input and or other accessories ideas appreciated.

What is a used Teryx4 LE worth?

I am in the market to buy a side by side and it will be a Teryx4. Not sure if I should buy a new one but found a 2019 with 216 hours and 2000 miles on it. Just from the pictures it has been stored outside, front tires are worn would $8000 be a good deal on a unit like this?

My Hisun 550 is not starting, could this be the issue ?

rodents chewed wires, main wires so I got it all back up for the solenoid etc. however something is still amiss. I noticed there are some cables that appear to be chewed however i can’t figure out where it would lead to. Any ideas? it is the two blue and black looking ones that come off the engine right where another black cable runs into. Included several angles

last photo is another cable I found closer to the spark plug that also appears to be chewed, that one is behind the drivers seat

Kawasaki Mule Bed Storage Options?

We're switching from an old Polaris Ranger to a Mule Pro FXT 1000LE this week and one item I've noticed is that we'll miss all these little holes in the bed side walls on the old Ranger. We store hitch pins, a sawed-off broom and other tools and many other items in those holes. I'm wondering if there are any accessories for the Mule that would provide similar functionality?
