I just checked the google reviews of I-house, and some of the reviews were not good. Reviewers complained that dinner was bad, breakfast is served way early in the morning and gets finished before they could even wake up. Heaters get turned off every 2 hours so residents apparently freeze during winter. And then an alarm goes off the in the morning that lasts for ten minutes. One guy wrote “The room doors close automatically so if both of your hands are holding something it's extremely difficult to enter your room. On top of that if you get locked out they charge you money after 2 times.”

I feel like after reading all these it will be wise to avoid I house. What was your experience there? Is the campus east better in these regards?

Hi everyone! I’m an international student arriving in Wollongong this July to start my Master’s at UOW. I’m looking for a room in a shared house/apartment.

Budget: $250 - $300 per week.

About Me: I’m a final-year engineering student moving from India. I’m tidy, focused on my studies, but also enjoy a good game of cricket or a movie on the weekends.

I’ve been looking on Flatmates and UOW Study Stays, but I wanted to see if anyone here knew of a room opening up or had advice on the best suburbs for students that fit this budget.

Thanks in advance for any leads or tips!
