Bake Sale - at Six Points, $8.99

Excellent box of cupcakes. I love the cupcake to frosting ratio. Some might say it's too much, I say it's perfect. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely pick up another bag.

Couldn't figure out what flavour the pink one was, but it was delicious.

Pur & Simple Oakville $4.99 no tax.

Not a bad bag. Considering their rating for variety and amount received.

I took a detour on my way to pick it up, it was my turn for the office coffee run and looks like we will not be getting any treats, unless somebody fancies frozen crullers.

Scam. Just another restaurant abusing TGTG (add it to the ever-growing pile that they never do anything about).

Advertised as: $5.99 for "2 piece chicken with taters" ($18 regular value). They charged $1.50 for packaging so really it was $7.49 + tax ($8.46).

The meal consisted of 1 drumstick ($3 regular), 1 thigh ($4.50 regular) and 1 small tater ($3.79 regular) for a total of $11.29 regular price.

This is just their normal Wednesday Special "2PC & Taters" they sell for $5.99 (and they don't charge an extra $1.50 for packaging when you buy the normal Special because of course the packaging would be included!).

They also made it fresh to order. They did not use "leftovers" and they didn't have any limit on the TGTG app. You could just buy as many of these "Wednesday Specials" as you want.

For $18 of value I would have expected 2 Full Center breasts ($5.75 ea) and at least a medium tater ($6.99) which would total $18.49. But instead they just served their normal Wednesday Special which is just 2 pieces of cheaper meat and small taters... They are just trying to offload a regular combo deal that has a known profit margin.. (in fact they are fluffing up the profit margin by adding a superfluous $1.50 packaging fee) They don't care about actually giving you $18 worth of value of leftovers that would otherwise be thrown away.

Since this location is new to TGTG I asked the cashier if there was a mistake. They did seem unsure about the app, it was new to them, so they actually called their manager to see if anything could be added or changed to actually give the advertised $18 value. The manager said no, take it or leave it. So I left it and got a refund from TGTG.

So that's about as official as it gets. Manager knows exactly what they're doing and they will refuse to give you the full $18 of value. Just another restaurant using TGTG to pawn off their normal, profitable combos.

At the very least they need to change the "regular price" to $11 to actually reflect what they give you.. but that still doesn't address the fact that they are just using TGTG to sell fresh made combos rather than actually get rid of limited leftover food.

Ya win some, ya lose some.

First time trying tgtg, went to a Tim Hortons I know dies after 8pm & is in a low traffic area for a Friday night...shelves were STOCKED, dozens of every donut, timbits were overflowing.

But I got maybe $11-12 of the $15 value(4.99 box) 🤣 person looked insulted that they had to box the food. Like, I'm curious how much they are tossing out in 3 hours & why are even on the app.

Guess I'll try a different location next time.
