How long should I wait before creating a new TikTok Ads account after a permanent suspension?

Hey everyone, would really appreciate some advice on this.

My TikTok Ads account was recently permanently suspended for “suspicious/spam behavior,” and support confirmed the decision is final (no more appeals). So at this point, I’m planning to just move on and start fresh.

I still want to run ads for the same business, but I’m a bit worried about getting instantly flagged again.

For those who’ve experienced this:

  • How long did you wait before creating a new ad account?
  • Did you use the same Business Manager / business details, or start completely fresh?
  • Any tips to avoid getting flagged again right away?

Not trying to bypass anything—just want to restart clean and do things properly this time 😅

Would really appreciate any insights or experiences!

Events API DFO Custom Events best practices

Hi everyone,

the documentation is not really precise about the topic mentioned in the title. I need some guidance and best practices. Here is what I would like to achieve:

Goal 1: lead submit

Goal 2: upload data (deeper funnel)

Goal 2 is a custom event, specific to the service we provide. We want to optimize for goal 2 as part of deeper funnel optimization. Unfortunately I am not able to a) find the event in DFO settings, b) select it. The event is firing, I have verified in Event Manager.

My questions are:

- is what I want to achieve possible?

- if not, how do you deal with it? Are you just using standard events and remember that e.g. "add to cart" now means "upload data"?

- Does the tiktok ad algo have actual meaning behind the standard events (e.g., it knows that add to cart means it is probably an Ecom store)

Many thanks in advance

Does anyone know how to fix this TikTok issue ?

So I got my store in my tik tok bio ran some ads and realized after that when they click on one of my products it says (TikTok can't open this page directly. Copy and paste the link into your browser to continue.) and it’s lowkey killing my Conversion, I just verified my business account as individual with TikTok and i hope that will fix it. Did anyone have the same issue and was able to fix it ?

ads are getting clicks but zero sales, what am i missing?

i’ve been running tiktok ads for a $29 product and getting around 2.1% ctr with cpc ~0.70, but literally 0 sales after ~120 clicks, starting to feel like the issue isn’t the ads but the product page itself

been looking into pagepilot to quickly rebuild the page and test a different structure, but not sure if that’s the right move yet. has anyone fixed this kind of gap before? what actually made the difference for you? any tips?

Tiktok keeps rejecting my promotions appeals.

Hi, I have a fresh account that I made to promo my app for boxers.

I posted 2 videos that got 0 views. Like exactly 0 views and the content is not bad quality or anything like that. I don't know what is happening.

I decided to buy a cheap promo for one of my tiktoks just to see if it would help but I can't even do that because tiktok says my content breaks some of the rules. I don't know what rules because they don't say that.

Even if I file an appeal they still don't give more details.

The account is like a week old.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

Server Error

I’m getting the 'server error' banner whenever I try to save changes on this page (I’m trying to extend the existing Ad authorization). Anyone else experiencing this?

Can someone please tell me how to fix the “Add music” error?

The “add music” error is preventing me from publishing the ad. There’s no option to add music, nor do I want to add music over my video. Also my video does not contain any copyrighted audio. Someone please help.

Looking to move from META to TikTok Ads with Static Images

Title says it all! META is extremely volatile right now with performance despite nothing changing on our end. Seems like its a well known issue across advertisers on the platform. So we're trying our hand in TikTok ads to see if we can try to learn there and diversify a bit but most of our creatives are static images (apparel brand).

Never ran ads on TikTok before ad wondering if this type of content ok and can perform? Unfortunately dont have any videos to run at the moment but considering budgeting a certain amount of our META ad spend on UGC videos to run as ads as an alternative.

Appreciate advice for getting into this would be awesome too!

Anyone seeing good results in TikTok's reservation formats? (TopView, TopFeed, Pulse)

TikTok's NewFronts 2026 announcements include new formats like Logo Takeover, Prime Time, and TopReach (TopView + TopFeed). And while they look great for reach, I'd like to know if these are worth the buy.

Most of these are reservation formats, so it's a jump from the usual auction buys our teams can hop onto Ads Manager and build campaigns on. But if it is indeed worth the results, then we'll take the leap.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has used these formats or is currently planning a test for Q3. It'd be great to see data points or a case study to gauge if it's worth it.
