I've been trying to do more freehand to figure out how basic stitches fit together into shapes so I can start learning how to write patterns that I can share. I had some gray left over yarn from the Squid Games Guard and decided to try to throw together the closest dupe of the Lenovo I could. The back wasn't too hard, just google some "gamer console" patterns and you'll get the idea. The face plate is freehanded and could definitely use some work but that's why I am practicing. 😊 If you are looking for a good pattern dupe, u/-spooky-fox- had been kind enough to share their dupe pattern on the subreddit last year. (You can sort by "top posts of all time" and find it easily).
Poor Ziggy has been a purple potato with eyes and arms for months. I’ve brought him so many places. I’ve finally finished the poor dude!
Also as I was crocheting his feet I was like there is no way this is correct. I finished off and thought I’m probably going to have a make a bunch to see which ones I don’t mess up on . . . Then I turned it sideways and BOOM it was a webbed foot!
I sure do love having a 3d printer and the ability to make my own specialty parts! 🤗
Obsessed with Woobles kits. Definitely wishing for more plants, flowers, and really anything nature (critters and creatures)! So much fun. I enjoy seeing all of your creations too.
I have 4 and 6 year old boys and they really enjoyed making the new woobles intro to sewing kits! Each one took less than an hour. The 6 year old needed a bit of help, the 4 year old more help (and a long break) but they had a great time. They were excited to make their own after seeing my woobles.
Thanks to the redditor who posted a link to these new kits here!!
I’ll be at the Philly one. This also happens to be my 50th birthday! 🎂
Well… all my projects are on hold for now because I discovered I’ve got 100+ skeins and counting not including kits, etc.
I created my own Yarn ID tag. Every skein is getting one. The back is blank and that will be where I keep track of current weight and length.
It's Marguerite the daisy with the lower part Ana's pattern
This has been sitting in my knitting bag FOREVER. I’m never going to finish it. Finally took initiative to frog the whole thing.
Neckline, sleeves, and back panel were already ripped out before I thought to document that yes, this did in fact exist at one point.
Maybe I’ll save Elvis and turn it into something else eventually.
In the meantime I’ll be salvaging what I can from the pounds of yarn it took me to knit this thing.
Well, sometimes a mystery Wooble gone wrong can be nice. This is one I would not have bought on my own. I used Hejin glitter yarn in place of the Woobles yarn from my kit. It think it looks great. I wasn't impressed with the glitter white yarn from Hejin, but I wanted to try making something with it to give it a fair shot. The white glitter looks plain and boring next to Woobles white glitter which has an opalesent sheen. Hejin looks like new fallen snow, much more plain. It was a bit more hard than using Woobles glitter yarn, texture wise. It also shreds very easily. I love the Hejin glitter gold. Its beautiful and easy to work with.
All my kids are involved in scouting. My second youngest is really into the backpacking trips. I had made 10 Beagle Scouts last month for everyone in my youngest's Pack, so, 2nd youngest wanted one for his adventures.
Wooble Snoopy and Campaign hat. I spent 2 days modifying ideas from 3 different backpack patterns to come up with the one this guy is wearing. I'm super happy with how he came out.
Whenever I make amigirumi using YO/YO or YU/YO with other yarn, I'm good at closing the gaps. But with woobles yarn I can only hide gaps between stitches if I do YU/YU. Is it something to do with the yarn?
I finished this a week ago and while its not as perfect, it was my first attempt at this pattern so I'm happy with it.
I added legs to him because he looked boring. What are your guy’s thoughts??
How are you guys doing cutie marks for the MLP or the Batman symbol on the Batman. Or the stems for the blooming flowers, or the eyes for Derpy from k-pop? I wish Woobles would have these little attachments for purchase. For instance, if you buy the blooming flowers set for $95 you may want more than just three flowers but you can’t buy stems. I don’t understand. What do you yall do for those things? Thanks for your help.
Hi. I was wondering if someone could explain to me how to make a Wooble bigger? For instance, there is a tiny watering can that I would like to make bigger than the original pattern. Is there any easy direction how to do that? Or is there a different pdf that is a bigger project similar to that. Thank you
First off. I got this kit 2 days ago and my other 2 kits yesterday. That makes it just over 2 weeks from order to delivery. After 6 weeks for my February order, thays a vast improvement. The videos were good, but one is a repeat video. I will let the company know of the problem. Since this is my 3rd Mini Crafts, it wasn't a big deal to miss the ears, feet, hands and mouth making of video. He came out quite large. I did place the feet one round down from where they said to, so he is standing vs sitting with his feet out and sewing in the ears was a pain in the butt, in my opinion. That said, I love the little guy. They definitely sew their parts on different the Woobles does. I am totally using the leftover magic ring yarn to place my pieces from now on. I think its genius. I did notice one problem in the video, but she says the correct amount of stitches and the pattern is correct. The way the mouth goes on is quite loose, so I used the teeth embroidery as an anchor point for the mouth. I accidentally sewed on one ear one round down, but after struggling with sewing them on, I don't care.
