I got a remind me message of this thread 5 years ago “What do you think/hope the game will look like in 5 years?”
https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/s/sJk913i1et
Very interesting reading the comments and some of the predictions. Although to be fair, no one could have predicted the Scopley merger and the effects it would have on the game.
The Fashion Raid Day did not work at all for many people in many countries. I know majority of people played the game with no issues but there were multiple threads from people who did not have the event active for them.
It's been few days now and I don't see Niantic/Scopely referencing it or saying that they are aware. Usually they do the "Trainers, we are aware and working on it" type of post, but I don't see anything from them.
I don't know how they can help affected trainers as it seemed like a very random bug that hit many trainers but this is not a small thing and I really hope we get some info soon, at least that they are working on a way to figure out what happened and help the affected trainers...
Data from Solo Sheet
The following T4 Mega Raids are omitted or thinned out due to the plethora number of counters overfitting the data.
- Mega Abomasnow, Mega Glalie, Mega Tyranitar, Mega Sharpedo, Mega Camerupt, Mega Medicham, Mega Beedrill, Mega Heracross, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blaziken, Mega Absol, Mega Swampert
1: Landorus-T vs Shadow Groudon:
- Both perform very similarly DPS wise.
- Shadow groudon has better edge case performance uniquely vs Tapu Koko. This is because it can tank 2 brave birds thus optimizing its HP pool better.
2: Shadow Mamoswine is really fkn good top end; can push out Lando-T/Sh-Groudons
- has higher technical performance as a CT into situations like: power whip xurkitree, mystical fire blacephalon, flame thrower heatran, hyperbeam regieleki, superpower Lando-T
- Also accessible attacker at low end vs various Megas and certain weather boosted T5 cases.
- Incredibly high HP, low def and strong attack distribution secretly make it a top tier CT.
3: Shadow Regigigas #1 rock unless boss is double weak to rock.
- The most consistent PC attacker for Tornadus-I, Thundurus I/T (rampardos cannot compete) when it has hidden power rock.
- It was previously able to solo Yveltal until the crush grip buff was revertted.
4: Shadow Regigigas is a versatile CT:
- Shadow Crush Grip is an underrated generalist CT approach. It was used to defeat Reshiram w/ Overheat & is a key counter for Xerneas & regigigas's giga impact.
- Shadow + Normal type works to its advantage. It doesn't resist a lot of things meaning it can absorb lots of energy from lots of move options. (Focus blast, giga impact, overheat, draco meteor, hyper beam, earthquake, etc.)
5: Shadow Regigigas also great anti-electric
- It absorbs electric attacks for higher DPS instead of immuning them.
- Access to HP Ground means avoiding energy resolve completely.
- Can stat check shadow groudon in extreme/pc weather. Loses in sunny.
- Ground attackers are using outdated moves; Shadow Regigigas is out statting them in more and more conditions.
6: Various low usage pokemon are vital for extreme challenges:
- Shadow Blaziken postively supports Mega Lucario & Keldeo-R vs Darkrai/Gigas.
- Shadow Dialga was used as a CT to defeat Reshiram w/ Overheat.
7: NDM/Zaci-C >> Zama-C
- NDM is the best steel CT
- Zaci is the best upfront DPS
- Zama is in the middle, cannot beat either in their own strength. Sometimes used as an executor (swapped in last 5-8s)
8: Mega Blaziken is an incredibly strong option if no Mega Lucario
- Coasts against weak 2 fire bosses
- Offers fighting options even against top tier tanky T4s.
9: Primal Groudon is slowly getting eclipsed
- Despite having high usage, its moveset is dragging it down. Shadow Lando-T will surpass it. Mega Lucario has already surpassed it vs steel/rock.
- Primarily high rating due to more weak 2 ground pokemon. Fire & Ground weather boost improves its absorbed EPS from fire moves while increasing its ground type damage.
I got my second forever friend today. I checked their listed pokemons and realised they must be pretty hard core player. I don't have too much to offer, maybe some random shinies and non-shiny legendaries (i don't get to go out and play often bcz of my strict family). Most normal shiny they're offering are stuff I already have or stuff I'm not too interested in... but I don't wanna select their shiny legendaries since they already have shiny versions of the non shiny ones I have tagged, I've seen people on reddit complaining about this so I kinda feel scared to even ask for anything. I think I'm gonna wait to see if they're interested in any of my mons? i don't think they'd like any of those tho as I said they already have shiny versions of those.
I don't want them to think I'm intentionally lowballing them or something I just really don't have dupe shiny legendary that I could trade. Although I tagged my shiny azelf but that's pretty common for raiders I think? hopefully they don't remove me as a friend, they're a really great friend who always joins my remote raids as I'm pretty rural

When my inventory fills up (1-3x / day) I've always quickly swiped through my "!#" (not tagged) mons. You could see IVs very easily because it was still image that I just swiped through. This past week I've noticed that there is an animation for the IV bar. Its like a loading bar that stops at their IV level. The annoyance, for me, is that I can't quickly scroll through mons anymore, I have to let the IVs load for each mon. Since my current inventory holds ~150 I find myself spending significant time scrolling through something that literally used to take seconds. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know if you can turn it off?!
