Guys to be Honest I feel like I made a mistake by buying oneplus 15r instead 15.

Guys to be Honest I feel like I made a mistake by buying oneplus 15r instead 15.

( I don't have any performance issue or battery issue but Still ) may be it's just my mind keeps saying am not having a flagship phone 🫠😔

Whenever I see a post on reddit about the oneplus 15 . I feel like I made a mistake buying the oneplus 15r instead of the 15.

I mean for my usage - the oneplus 15r is already a overkill. I don't game on phone. I just use the basic daily apps.

But the 15 looks cute 🥰. And it scores Higher numbers on all benchmark apps compared to the 15r.

Please share your thoughts. And please tell me am i missing anything? Benchmark scores don't matter unless I do gaming and video editing.

Should I wait till oneplus 16 and get that directly??

OnePlus & realme Just Got a Major Glow-Up Under OPPO

OnePlus stays the "performance beast" for flagship lovers.

realme remains the "budget king' targeting the youth segment.

But now they're running under a "unified strategy" inside the OPPO family.

What’s changing?

- Both brands keep their own identity and positioning

- They’re sharing R&D, product planning, and supply chain resources

- A central product team handles development for both China and global markets

Why it makes sense

- No more internal competition between OnePlus and realme

- Much clearer product lineup

- Better efficiency and lower costs

- Faster development without losing their unique vibes

Quick Positioning Recap

OPPO→ Innovation + High-end camera king

OnePlus→ Performance & flagship experience

realme → Value for money + youth-focused

Smart move by OPPO. They’re basically turning their sub-brands into a well-organized squad instead of fighting each other.

I am about to buy OP15 CN Rom flashed to Global today

I am gonna buy this phone today. Are there any risks associated with buying a CN ROM flashed to Global?

I don't intend to reflash it back to CN nor downgrade the OS, I am aware of the cons (such as no e-sim, missing bandwidths, no HD for streaming apps, etc.).

But what I am asking is if there will be risks when there are new OTA updates in the future that "might" be incompatible with flashed Global ROM, is there a chance that it will brick the phone or even make security patches be vulnerable/ create bugs?

There are no available CN and online stores are not eligible since this is just a company reimbursement so it should go through an authorized seller here. Global ROM is available but they have this price difference, Global ROM and flashed to Global have price difference of converted to 146.42 USD which is huge for a 3rd world country POV.

Is the OP15 worth leaving Apple for?

Been seriously bored of Apple’s lack of innovation as of late and this is the only phone I’m considering leaving iPhones behind for. (Although I thought about getting a Samsung S26 series phone). Who here has left Apple just for this phone and what has the experience been like? I also have an Apple Watch and obviously it won’t work with this phone, right? I’ve heard OP is adding support for the Apple Watch….

Just arrived in time. Picture taken from OP 11.

Time to upgrade after 3 years with OP 11. After getting OP 11 3 years ago, I had a wow moment with it(switching from Samsung) everything was solid especially the battery life was so good also the camera was great for me. Though I got teased a hard core Samsung friend of mine, "why would you downgraded to a Chinese cheap phones?" I was determined and gave it a shot. It's has been a great three years with the 11. However, the 11's screen sometimes does not turn on when the power was pressed. I manually forced restart and it worked then it's doesn't work. When I use two fingers to press the screen hard at the same time it flash green then the screen is on. I did the research and there might be something wrong with screen loose wire or something. The entire phone is in a good shape idk why. But three year was good enough and due to an upgrade for me anyway since I use a phone for my work and I depend on it everyday. My plan is to bring the phone back to Thailand when I'm on vacation and have the shop fix it for me over there to save on labor(it will be really cheap like paying for a meal in the U.S.) and save the OP 11 as my backup phone. I think everything is still good just have to reconnect the screen wire to the board.

Anyway, super exited about this state of art, OP 15. I just don't know how to begin. Got it from Amazon this afternoon and now 11PM; the box is still unopened. You know the feeling? Lol

OnePlus 15 16.0.7 NOTE TO ALL DO NOT INSTALL

So a few hours ago OnePlus released Os 16.0.7 (rumored as 16.1 due to changes), well whoever installs it, say goodbye to your integrity. Yes I'm not joking, ur play integrity will drop to basic only and google wallet and most of the banks will STOP working. I installed mines trough os updater and pretty much it f-d the integrity. So whoever trys to install PLEASE STOP and do not proceed.

Note bootloader is locked and no modification has been done

S23U -> OP15

Been thinking about switching to the OP15 and I would buy it from tradingshenzhen (567€), my main thoughts:

- which color/build would you recommend?

- how is the os? Any major features missing from your previous device (especially as a Samsung user)

- if you also bought it from tradingshenzhen, how was the experience and how long did it take for the arrival? (I live in Austria)

My s23U is in light performance mode, bc of the battery life and it lags often in games or on the homescreen. Also having phantom touch and the animations are disgusting and laggy.

I already know the battery is a beast, but how is the OS? I heard OxygenOS has many bugs (notifications, wifi, Bluetooth, sim etc).

I was also thinking of waiting for the OP16, was or is someone in the same boat as me?

Main usage:

- social Media

- light Games

- video/photo editing

- Android App development/testing

Any response/advice would help, thank you!

I'm so tired of seeing these clowns constantly saying OnePlus is going to shut down, OnePlus is finished, their displays will get green lines, pink lines, and everything else. It’s exhausting.

Despite all these "OnePlus will die" predictions, people are still buying the phones like crazy. I saw the prices have gone up in the market. Demand is so high that the OnePlus 15 is already stock out across Asia. Yet here we are with the same "OnePlus is dead" jokes 🤣

And then there’s that one so-called YouTuber (not naming him, don’t feel like it) who regularly bashes OnePlus but rocks the OnePlus 15 as his daily driver. The hypocrisy is actually funny.

This is what "OnePlus is finished" looks like, apparently.

Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed tech gurus keep pumping out video after video: "See how OnePlus is shutting down", "They don’t give us collabs so we’re exposing them", "Look guys, look look look" 😭🤣

Hey everyone,

I recently switched from iPhone to the OnePlus 13 and used it for a while. After that, I moved to the OnePlus 15 (China version converted to Global, 12/256GB). I’ve spent enough time with both phones now, so here’s my genuine take — no hype, just real feelings.

First Impressions with OnePlus 13

Overall, the OnePlus 13 is a well-balanced phone. But coming straight from iPhone, a few things felt off since it was my first OnePlus device.

The speakers felt like a noticeable downgrade to me.

Hand feel wasn’t my thing. It reminded me of a Samsung S-series phone — flat and a bit slippery. I personally prefer the rounded edges and comfortable grip of an iPhone, so I never felt fully at ease holding it. Idle battery drain was also higher than I expected.

The camera was decent though — not bad at all.

Why OnePlus 15 Feels Like a Proper Upgrade

After using the OnePlus 15 for some time, I can easily say it fixed most of the issues I had with the 13.

Build & Hand Feel: Much better. The weight distribution feels just right, and it sits comfortably in the hand.

Speakers: This is the biggest upgrade for me. It’s now at a proper standard level, very close to iPhone quality. This alone made the switch worth it.

Battery Life: As a heavy user, I still need to charge twice a day, but the second charge only takes 5-7 minutes to top up. It easily keeps up with my usage.

Smoothness: The phone feels incredibly fluid. The animations are buttery smooth and pleasing to the eye — easily one of the best in this segment.

Camera: At first I was a bit disappointed thinking the hardware was a step down from the 13. But after updates, the software processing has improved the photos a lot. It’s giving strong Pixel-like results now. No regrets anymore.

Software Note: I have zero issues with ColorOS. Even if Oppo unifies everything in the future, it won’t matter to me — they’re basically the same.

This phone feels like it can easily last 5-6 years without any major problems. Still keeping an eye on the OnePlus 16 though.

⚠️⚠️⚠️

One Small Concern – Display Issues

Since I came from iPhone and never used OnePlus before, I keep hearing about their past display problems (green line issue). Many people still advise against buying OnePlus because of it.

I’ve read that OnePlus has now switched to BOE panels and the problem is very rare on the 12 and above. Still, since I bought the China version and converted it, I’m not 100% sure about service support.

If you’re using the OnePlus 15, how has your display been? Any issues so far? Would love to hear your thoughts so I can put my mind at ease.

Battery Charging opinions

Been using the phone for a few weeks now.

We all know how good the battery on the OnePlus 15 performs.

I'm still undecided wether to load only up to 80%, how it's recommended. Or just always go for 100%? In-between?

What's your experience on charging, how you're charging, and how to get the most out of battery life \ capacity?
