Can’t buy Enhanced Autopilot or FSD from May 21st

What’s going to happen from the 21st do you think they’re going to go subscription only for both of the packages or do you think they’ll phase out enhanced autopilot so you can only buy fsd even though we don’t get any benefit for fsd over enhanced autopilot here in the uk.

I’d personally like to see them as two separate options but considering how they’re changing everything in countries that actually get fsd. I see them getting rid of enhanced autopilot and try to push everyone onto fsd.

Vehicles Available Now Inventory

I spotted that Tesla have updated their 'Vehicles Available now' Inventory today and they had an M3 AWD in the colour I preferred for collection at my local Tesla Garage. I jumped at the chance to get one quickly and clicked order. I now see on the app that the delivery date is est 18-30June. Has anyone any experience of buying from the available now and what wait time does that realistically mean?

What are your favourite Tesla accessories?

I’m currently saving up to buy a Tesla hopefully by the end of the year.
I’m considering a model Y and I’ve been looking up accessories on YouTube.
What are y’all‘s favourite accessories for your vehicles?
It doesn’t have to be accessories direct directly from Tesla it can be third-party

Tesla M3 RWD order update

Bit confused by this Tesla app update and wondering if this is normal.

I got a message before delivery saying my new Model 3 “will not include ultrasonic sensors and instead fully relies on camera vision…”

I know newer Teslas use Tesla Vision now, but the wording almost makes it sound like something changed from the original order and they want me to acknowledge it before delivery.

For those who recently took delivery - did you get the same message? And has Tesla Vision been fine in everyday use vs the old ultrasonic sensors?

20-80%. Who really does it? Is it a myth?

I've had my 2022 M3 DM for 3 years now, bought on a 4yr finance agreement at 1yr old. My intention is to return is at the end of the agreement, if I can find something suitable to replace it with.

This was my first EV. Despite having owned a PHEV, I thought this would be a very different experience. So I did research. Lots of it.

Everything I read about the battery seemed to point to the 20-80% rule, to guarantee longevity. Well, as selfish as it may be, this car goes back in 4 years. I don't really care about "longevity". How bad can it be?

Well, for the last 3 years and ~40K miles, I've treated my M3 like a petrol car. Almost all of my charging is done at home, and I always charge to 100%. I regularly use the car for a 250+ mile round trip, and return home with <5% charge (an artform in itself).

As the end of the warranty is up before it goes back to the finance company, I thought I'd get Cleevely out to give it a quick once-over. They were really helpful, and spotted a few snags that I got Tesla to sort.

The thing that surprised me most was their assessment of the battery health. They performed the Service Mode health check, and concluded than the battery is still at 94% of original health at 45K miles.

This made me question how much benefit I'd have gained by following the 20-80% guidance.

Autopilot on a UK Model 3

Hi all,

I'm after some help. Im looking to buy a used model 3 and want it to either have enhanced autopilot or full self-drive to be future proofed if the UK allow more autonomous driving in the not too distant future.

Looking at adverts on autotrader and the like, so many advertise enhanced autopilot but when the show screens of the software section it only shows Autopilot, not enhanced autopilot. However, on the autopilot section it show autosteer (beta).

On UK model 3's, does it say enhanced autopilot on the software screen? I've found lots of posts about US versions but I'm wondering if it shows different in the UK or if different software versions show different? There can't be this many car adverts that say the car comes with EAP but in software screen it doesn't...?

Thanks

This isn't a tesla flex post, more of a "this was my experience", which I thought you guys might find interesting.

- I've had my m3 21 plate for 3 years.

- not gone wrong once.

- end of warranty now, so decided to start looking around.

I had a play with the byd seal excellence. It's fast, it feels really premium, android auto is always nice to use.

But honestly? The software is lacking so much on the byd seal vs tesla.

I'm genuinely suprised how good the Tesla still holds up with the software vs a 25 plate byd.

Looks like I'll be sticking with my m3 for a bit longer and hopefully grab a decent price juniper next year used.

Interesting though. The byd felt nicer to drive, but 1 pedal driving and the software made me cancel my byd.

I said to my partner the byd feels more like a traditional car. The tesla feels more like a gadget.

Edit, of course some of the replies have turned into a political rant, or people dressing opinions as facts. Some of you truly need to chill out lol

MOT Fail

Bought my 71 plate model 3 LR last July from Tesla. Had 29k miles on the clock now it has 44. It has just failed for a suspension issue on the front and disc / pads (assume they’re wharped) have I got a case to go back to Tesla?

EV energy tariffs?

What energy tariffs do you use? I’m looking into getting a model 3 long range AWD and wondered what was the best option for home charging.

Santander vs Lex (PCH)

Hi all!

I've been hearing a lot of chat on here about Lex and a supposed extension offer?

I got auto-routed to Santander with no alternative option, and despite the quote being £5 more than originally listed on the website, I've gone ahead (M3, Aug/Sep expected).

I submitted my application eight days ago with perfect credit history, yet my status of approval remains unchanged and is still 'pending'? Has anybody experienced similar wait times with Santander prior to approval? Is there any disadvantage of Santander, or is it worth switching to Lex?

Hopefully doesn’t impact more of the people waiting on this group! Good luck!

Hi all,

I notice Tesla charge £9.99/month for Premium Connectivity — things like live traffic, Spotify/streaming, satellite maps, and browser access over LTE.

Without it, you're basically stuck with Bluetooth and basic features. With it, you're paying nearly £120/year just to use the car's built-in infotainment properly.

For those of you who have it (or had it and cancelled): is it actually worth it? Can you get by just fine hotspotting from your phone instead? Or is the in-car experience noticeably worse without it?

Would love to hear from UK owners especially. Thanks!

Used approved prices

Anyone else noticed that their prices have really increased over the last week or two. I imagine due to world tensions and not a direct increase from Tesla.

Commando charger?

To those who use a ‘commando’ charger instead of a dedicated EV wall charger, can you tell me your experience with it. Do you regret not getting a wall charger? Would you do the same if you had a second chance?

Worth Getting Brand New Y model?

This will be my first Tesla, and I’m going for the Y model. I can’t afford the premium version per month as it’s too expensive, but stuck between the RWD or the Long range RWD. Any one recommend which one I should pick?

May delivery customers are being contacted to arrange collection now.

I’ve just received a call to organise collection of my Model 3 Standard RWD from Tesla Cambridge. Earliest available date for collection is 28th May.

Ordered on the 23rd April, it was pre-configured stock (a.k.a cancelled) and had VIN assigned straightaway. On GLOVIS SUMMIT ship which is docking in Southampton in the next 24 hours.

Tesla Model 3 PCH "things to know"?

Very tempted by the £249/month PCH so I'm doing a crash course in stuff I need to know about a Tesla Model 3.

My needs are basic. I get in the car I drive it. It's usually just me.

I can't see a single reason I need any more than the "base" as it's just a means of getting from A to B in relative comfort.

The commute is around 20 miles each direction and I could probably put in a home charger but don't have one right now. I do have a drive. Pretty much all my workplaces have chargers and I'm about 7 miles from a "Super Charger".

My current car is cheap reliable and mine and does around 60mpg and I wasn't really thinking of changing it but this is seriously tempting as I LOVE lots of glass and the ease of automatic etc.

As I understand it build quality is now much much better as most of the UK cars are made in China? I've done an insurance quote and that's sensible. I believe VED is included in PCH so other than insurance and charging running costs should be covered?

I did the self serve test drive yesterday and came away with a good impression but not necessarily "wowed" though some of that is possibly just down to the sheer amount of stuff to take in when you turn up and the car is there waiting for you to get in and drive it.

Took a moment just to figure out that once in drive it doesn't "creep" like an auto and the sensation when you take your foot off the accelerator is very different to the coasting/neutral sensation you get in an ICE car.

I was impressed with the build quality more than I perhaps thought I would be. Everything felt solid and well put together. The lower plastics are pretty cheap and nasty but who really goes tapping those in the real world.

Driving around I think my biggest takeaway was the lack of noise and just how "calm" it felt. Liked the glass roof though it's not been a very sunny day so it was easy to forget it had one unless I looked up.

Sound system seemed fine but I always seem to say that with every car I've had.

I think where I struggled a bit was just the sheer amount of "stuff" in the menus compared to my very basic current car. It did have me wondering just how much I'd actually use all that stuff.

Bit weird getting used to buttons for things like flashing the lights but this is a MY26 so did have an indicator stalk though I didn't manage to work out if you can do the "three blips" when pulling in/out.

It's certainly given me a lot to think about over the next couple of days. I liked it a lot but I like my current car a lot and if this PCH offer hadn't caught my eye I never would have bothered looking let alone driving one.

I suppose right now where I am is if I woke up tomorrow and found Tesla have pulled the £249 PCH offer would I be gutted and I'm not sure I would.

I have some thinking to do.

So what other things should I be thinking about when it comes to the "base" 3 that I might not have considered please?

Tesla model 3 Delivery date

Anyone else had their delivery date changed for standard model 3 in grey? Who ordered around start of April

Ordered the 3rd of April and was doing my 5 millionth app refresh of the day and my dates have changed from. 4th of June to the 30th, too the 18th of June to the 30th.

Still no vin number yet, assuming this is basically the confirmed delivery slot now unless I get lucky and someone cancels their delivery slot at my local collection point and I can snag it

Ordering timescale advice

Hope someone can help, I’d like to order the model 3 on PCH.
If I order this week, when do you think I’d get it? September?
I ask because my present lease is up in November so I’m trying roughly to time things.
Also people say the Lex provider isn’t available yet due to issues.
Has anyone extended the PCH with Santander?
As the post a few days ago about extending the 2 year lease to 3 via Lex portal after delivery of the car worked out cheaper than initially ordering the 3 year deal.
Any helps appreciated.
Thanks.
