cable problems on the Safe 7

Hi everyone, are those of you with a Safe 7 having any problems connecting it with the cable? Because I used the cable that came with it and it doesn't connect or charge, but when I connect it with another USB-C cable, it only recharges the battery.

Also, is it normal that there's no power button and it just stays in sleep mode?

How far away is the “quantum threat”

I bought a safe 5 device at end of 2024 and absolutely love it. In fact I bought 2 of them!

I’m only holding SPX6900 (on Ethereum).

I’m just wondering when I should start considering upgrading to a safe 7, or whatever the next device might be in terms of protecting myself against quantum computing.

Any thoughts on when private keys will be vulnerable to this?

Trezor users: how are you actually storing your seed phrase backup? Curious what setups people are using in 2026

And now I have been using my Trezor for a few years and my seed is still tucked away on the little paper slip included with it and jammed into some drawer somewhere. Of course...

Anyway, got curious about alternatives and started to do research; engraved metal plates, encrypted USB drives, specialized smart card solutions, and even an NFC ring which stores your mnemonic seed. Some of these things look like they can really help, others look kind of like overkill.

If any of you guys have upgraded to more secure backups of your seed phrases, how have you gone about it? Have you used multiple copies stored in various places? Smart card or a physical item like steel?

Also interested to hear from anybody using NFC solutions regularly in their lives.

Unconfirmed transactions never move / never go away (on base network only) Trezor safe 3

So i have now 20 unconfirmed transactions (dating all the way back to 11th of April) on my trezor device all on base chain, trying to move base eth or base alts. No matter how absurdly high i crank up gwei they just wont move. Native eth works fine, have not sent funds in other chains yet. What could be the issue?

Question

Do Trezor users only use the multi address function solely for bitcoin or do you use multi addresses for other coins such as solana etc. I can’t find much information online about how to take advantage of this when using Trezor and the more I search I start to think that its best used with bitcoin and other coins built for the multi address function other than that I may as well keep the single address for coins that aren’t built using this method. any advice and guides for dummies lol would be great

Safe7,Safe5 or Safe3?

What would be the best Trezor out of these 3 to store a very very big amount of BTC ?

Trezor safe 5 and Trezor safe 3 are basically the same, the only difference is the touch screen and the bigger display

Are there any plans to make further use of the screen

It’d be nice to have a QR code for your wallets to pop up allowing others to easily scan and transfer. What other implementations of the screen would all of you like to be added?

Trezor Suite is frequently displaying meaningless errors

Another take from me about Suite design. Didn't you notice how many errors are displayed in Trezor Suite during normal usage? And I don't remember even a one which was really helpful. I encoutered them sometimes when I focus window, unlock my device or even but trezor on a wireless charger. Additionally from average user's perspective they are just gibberish. In my opinion they should just be hidden inside logs and don't display, don't bother user, if they don't block anything...

Unexpected popup while withdrawing from Binance

Hi everyone,

I was on binance.com withdrawing my funds (I'm poor, do not waste your energies with DMs) and a popup appeared on my Trezor physical device asking for something related to binance.com. I couldn't read the whole sentence but I remember clearly that "binance.com" was in the wording.

As soon as I pressed "withdraw" on binance, the popup disappeared.

Is this normal or a security concern? Can someone explain me what happened?

I am running firmware 2.9.1 and Trezor suite 26.1.2.

Thanks in advance

if your hardware wallet doesn't have a screen, you're just gambling

The whole point of cold storage is physical verification. seeing everyone hype up tap-to-phone nfc cards lately is wild. a phone screen can be compromised. if the device itself can't display the exact address before sending, it completely defeats the purpose of hardware security. if malware swaps the clipboard address on your phone, tapping a card blindly just signs away your funds. you are literally just trusting the app ui at that point. a dead ledger is a pain, sure, but skipping the screen entirely for "convenience" is insane. battery-free with an actual display should be the bare minimum.

Opinion: if you know what you are doing, storing the Wallet backup/recovery seed digitally can be a better solution than writing it down.

Dont get me wrong, I understand that for a lot of users the best option to not loose their crypto is to write it down and put it in a safe.

But, a physical copy can be stolen, damaged, destroyed or get lost.

So, for me personally, I think that storing the 20 words in an (offline) password manager (like a Keepass database) or a Veracrypt file that is only used for the seed and has 2FA and then properly backing up that file is much safer then writing it down and putting it in a few 100 dollar safe in my house.

As long as I make the initial file where I store the seed on a computer that is safe and use a proper backup strategy (encrypted on your NAS, on your person and in 2 different cloud locations), the chances of the seed getting stolen or lost is much smaller then when keeping it in your house?

Everstake / Trezor have exposure to Aave / rsETH hack (?)

Based on the above, it looks like everstake has some exposer to Aave. I never heard of this token that everstake created, but I’m wondering if they lose money from aave, would they lock up some of the staking tokens via trezor hardware to make up for their losses? Is there any risk there? Should we unstake via trezor / everstake just in case?

Specifically in regards to ETH, but perhaps all tokens in everstake might be at risk?

I can’t download the 2.11.0 firmware update. I currently have version 2.10.0 installed. Trezor Team, could you please help me?

Question?

I came across a post that said Solana within the Trezor App has Syncing issues is this true? Because that would be quite inconvenient.

I also wanted to ask if the app tracks your assets correctly as I’ve seen some say it’s quite behind in updating your portfolio etc which isn’t my experience with Tangem so far.

thanks for the help!
