Supervisa approval timeline for my grandmother

Applied for my grandmother’s Super Visa from Islamabad, Pakistan. Sharing the timeline since these posts helped me a lot during the process.

Timeline:

  • Application submitted: April 5, 2026
  • Medical request: April 23, 2026
  • Medical passed: May 4, 2026
  • Passport request (PPR): May 6, 2026
  • Passport with visa received back: May 12, 2026

Total processing time was a little over 5 weeks.

For context, I had applied last year as well but it was refused due to an incomplete application. I forgot to attach my passport copy and also didn’t include dependents properly for the LICO calculation (I didn’t know I had to because it was just me)

Reading recent posts it looks like IRCC is processing supervisas much quicker this time. Last year I had to wait 7 months for a rejection with no requests in between.

Hello,

What is the current processing time for super visa ? Is there anyone who currently have applied for super visa for parents from India? What is the current pattern for processing by time if the medicals are done upfront and no need for biometric as well!

Application submitted February 2025, no update

My brother , who is permanent resident, applied for father’s super visa. My father is retired from police service. The application was submitted on February 2025. We received two request letters asking for different documents in June 2025. All additional requested documents provided in the given time frame. However, there is no update after that. Please share your experience who was in similar situation. Thank you.

CA Report

Hi all, I am trying to do a Super Visa application for my mother who is also a widow. She lives alone in her home country, is retired, receives pension, has a car, a condo, and some land. I am thinking how to best demonstrate home ties. I have mentioned all of this in the Letter of Invitation and also got her to write a Personal Statement.

My questions is:

a) should I get a CA report, is that the gold standard? It would be a lot of hassle collecting documents but the positive side is I can only submit the CA letter and I dont have to provide dozens of documents alongside (deeds in local language etc.),

b) what is the alternative? I keep hearing about notarized affidavit of asset inventory, but in that case, in addition to submitting this notarized inventory, my understanding is that the best practice is to make a document bundle and alongside the notarized inventory, as proof, include hundreds of pages of deeds (in local language), translated in English.

Am I overcooking this? Is this too much, or its best to not share any such information at all since its Super Visa. Please I would appreciate some feedback.

Applied Super Visa (India) for my mom on 24th Mar 2026.

- Upfront Medical

- April 10 Biometrics

Since we are expecting on May 3rd, have included documents related to due date and mentioned the expected travel date as May 15th for postpartum support to take care of baby.

Though I had little hope on this timeline, still I made the request. To my surprise, Visa approved on April 29th.

Super impressed by IRCC process and I must thank them for such quick response .

Writing this post just to let everyone know IRCC do smart works and they genuinely go through our application. Whoever is the approval officer of my application I think I owe him/her one. 🫶🏼

Hello everyone,

I have a couple questions regarding applying for a Super Visa soon after receiving eCOPR. Has anyone applied within a few days of getting their PR finalized? My PR process was delayed by about 5 months due to travel after the portal email, so I’m hoping to move forward with this as soon as possible.

On a personal note, I recently lost my grandparent in February and had travelled to India after 4 years. Unfortunately, I couldn’t spend as much time with my parents as I had hoped.

About their situation: my mother is a homemaker and my father is self-employed, but there isn’t a formal business structure or steady salaried income. They’re planning to return since my younger sibling ( 23 years old) will be alone.
I really want them to visit asap for an emotional change.
I meet the income requirements comfortably from my side.

I had a few specific questions:

\-Is it necessary to notarize the invitation letter, or is a signed letter sufficient?
\- How can I best demonstrate ties to the home country in this case?
\- We do have two properties back home, but they are still in my grandfather’s name (he passed away many years ago), and transferring ownership right now would be quite complicated. How can I address this when showing ties?
\- If anyone applied recently, what insurance did they buy and what was the processing time ?

I’d really appreciate any advice or similar experiences, especially from those who have applied in somewhat similar situations. Thank you so much in advance!

Hi everyone, need your insights kasi sobrang confused and honestly ang sakit lang ng refusal ko 😭

Timeline(2026):

April 20 – Submitted via IRCC
April 20 – Biometrics request received
April 24 – Biometrics completed
May 2 – Refusal letter

Akala ko talaga strong na profile ko, pero na-refuse ako mainly because:

--Not enough proof of family ties
--No proof of flight and hotel bookings

Nalulungkot talaga ako kasi I thought okay na yung docs ko, and 1 week visit lang naman yung plan ko with approved leave pa from work.

Profile ko:
4 years employed (stable job)
COE with approved leave
600k bank balance + 400k ADB
Submitted bank certs + statements
Travel history: Schengen visa + multiple Japan & Korea visas - been to 16 countries, lahat naka attach sa snubmit ko sa IRCC
May house loan + car (ORCR submitted)
Submitted mom’s birth cert + senior ID (siya lang immediate family ko)
Wala kasi akong tatay and wala rin akong kapatid—mom ko lang talaga.

Now I’m overthinking and need insights please:
-- san kaya ako nagkulang? Yung flight and hotel itineraries lang kaya tlaga?

-- Pwede ko ba i-include na I’m supporting my mom financially?

-- I saw sa fb group for CA Visa, na they included photos ng pets, I have 10 cats, and the reason why 1 week lang ung travel plan ko to Canada kasi I cant stay away for too long kasi last Europe travel ko umiiyak ako sa flight because of my cats, sobrang sepanx ko talaga, out of context na pero I'm feeding all the cats sa subdivision nag iikot ako everyday para makahelp sa mga strays - so aun lang sobrang attached ko s cats ko kaso baka hndi sya iacknowledge as ties

Again, I didn’t include:
flight reservation
hotel bookings
Kasi akala ko hindi required unless approved na (lesson learned 🥲)

Questions:
Ano pa kaya kulang sa profile ko?
Paano ko mas mapapatunayan yung “strong ties to home country”?
Worth it pa ba mag reapply agad or wait muna?

Any advice would really help. Hindi ko alam if malas lang ba sa officer or may mali talaga sa application ko.
Thank you 😭

Hi there,

I’m writing to inquire about the possibility of writing an invitation letter for an applicant who will be visiting the host for 7 -9 months is good or should host write 1 year in letter?Additionally, I’m seeking recommendations for a good insurance policy in Ottawa, ontario. I’ve encountered previous rejections for my applicant’s visitor visas due to insufficient ties, as all my family members reside in the USA and Canada.

Could you please advise on the additional documents that need to be submitted to demonstrate strong ties? Also, if the applicant’s host’s birth certificate is not in English, do we need to upload it in both languages, original and English, and same goes for other translated documents such as property papers, etc need to upload in original and translated ?

Also, If host from canada is applying for applicant’s super visa through ircc portal account which was used in previous visitor visa application and selects no as representative is that okay ?
