What do you keep in your vehicle for a roadside emergency - beyond the jumper cables?

Everyone has jumper cables, maybe a flashlight. But I started thinking about what happens in a more serious situation, for example, a bad accident, someone injured, or being stuck somewhere remote overnight.

I plan to put together a more serious setup in my truck. Besides the usual stuff, I think of adding a vehicle trauma kit, maybe: tourniquet, pressure dressing, hemostatic gauze. In a faraway area, waiting for an ambulance isn't always realistic. What does everyone else keep?

Do you think about medical gear, or is it mostly the mechanical stuff?

Did I ruin my car door?

I had my hands full of groceries, thought I closed my car door behind me successfully with my foot, came out an hour later to it wide open in the rain 😭 it’s now a bluish color…is it permanent? Can I fix this?

Not sure if it matters but it’s a 2022 ford edge

Parasitic Draw Issue - 2017 Hyundai Elantra (Avante AD) 1.6 GDI - 55k Miles - Battery dead after 2 days

Hi everyone,

I'm dealing with a battery drain issue on a 2017 Hyundai Elantra (Avante AD) 1.6 GDI. The car has 55,000 miles on it. If the vehicle sits for about 48 hours, the battery is completely discharged.

Here is what I’ve checked so far:

Battery & Alternator: Both have been tested; the alternator is charging at specification, and the battery is in good health.

Modifications: The car is completely stock with no aftermarket accessories.

Questions:

Are there any known TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) or recalls regarding parasitic draw for this specific model and year?

With 55k miles, are there common failures in modules like the Smart Key sensors or BCM that prevent the CAN bus from sleeping?

Are there any specific fuses I should prioritize during a voltage drop test?

I'm a technician looking for any "usual suspects" or factory-documented issues before I start pulling every fuse.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Do these exist

I'm looking into getting my first car (just looking into some vans that look cool) and was wondering if there were any sort of cd players that allowed me to shuffle across multiple cds but I don't know where to look or even what specifically look up, so I was wondering if those even exist or if it's even possible. If they do could anyone let me know where to check or if it's even doable before I try something stupid.

Thermostat housing replacement

I just bought a used car and I have seven days to return it. The day I bought it the check engine light came on and I found out it needs a thermostat housing replacement. It’s being replaced by the dealership at no cost to me of course. I also have a three-year warranty on the engine and transmission.

Should I return the vehicle or is that something that is an easy fix and won’t cause future problems? This is for a 2020 Dodge with about 93,000 miles on it.

What’s this piece called?

For reference I own a 2014 Toyota Corolla and I’ve had this car for over a year now. As of recently I’ve had the silver piece (circled in turquoise) break and fall apart. I tried switching the web for interior trims among other things to try and find this part but no luck. Would anyone happen to know what this piece is called or where I could get a replacement?
