Large maple tree starting to lean toward the house, time to call tree removal service?

I live in Bellevue (Eastgate area) and have a big mature maple tree in the backyard that has started leaning noticeably toward the house after the recent windstorms. The roots on one side are slightly raised and I’m getting concerned about it coming down in the next strong wind event, especially since it’s positioned close to the roof and fence.

The tree has been here for decades and provides nice shade in summer, but the lean has me worried about potential damage or safety issues. I don’t want to remove a healthy tree unnecessarily, but I also don’t want to risk it.

I’m planning to hire tree removal services Bellevue to come out and give me a professional assessment. Has anyone in the area dealt with a similar situation with a large leaning tree? Did you end up removing it or were you able to stabilise it? Any advice on what to look for or questions I should ask the arborist would be really helpful.

What do you keep in your vehicle for a roadside emergency - beyond the jumper cables?

Everyone has jumper cables, maybe a flashlight. But I started thinking about what happens in a more serious situation, for example, a bad accident, someone injured, or being stuck somewhere remote overnight.

I plan to put together a more serious setup in my truck. Besides the usual stuff, I think of adding a vehicle trauma kit, maybe: tourniquet, pressure dressing, hemostatic gauze. In a faraway area, waiting for an ambulance isn't always realistic. What does everyone else keep?

Do you think about medical gear, or is it mostly the mechanical stuff?
