Is Fender Studio upgrade worth it from Studio One 5 for performance benefits?
I'm quite happy with Studio One 5, it works well for me so there aren't a lot of reasons to upgrade. The only feature from 6, 7, 8 that interests me is the splice integration and the panning upgrade.
However, one thing I'm curious about is performance - S1 5 uses a LOT of my CPU when I have a full project running, I often have blockout protection on maximum, high buffer size etc. to make it all work and playback properly. Perhaps Fender Studio will be more CPU efficient or utilize multiple cores better or something?
The other thing is exporting - I've occasionally had issues with S1 4 and 5 where automation is not being correctly run during exporting. I know this is a common issue and was perhaps fixed in one of the newer versions?
