My main role is Capital Ship Pilot/Captain.

I thought the Plushy did it so Torpedoed it! after I calmed do I landed to check it out.
I'm not sure if it's cool asking to join groups knowing anything of the game. I've played a bit years ago, but I don't remember a thing, I am hoping to join an org to learn and get into the game. 24 year old dude who is free most most nights. I'm really hoping to meet some people and have chill sessions and learn more about SC. I'm down to try whatever, really. I understand this is a shot in the dark, but If anyone does read this, thank you for your time.
Like the title says, my buddy and I are looking to join an org, like 30-350ish people, nothing too crazy and off the charts.
We are both grown ass men and have military backgrounds, he is more combat focused and my fleet is more industrial, but we play together and do all sorts of work together.
We usually play on the weekends (USA EST) but dont have much time throught the week.
Light RP is cool but don't feel like dealing with hardcore commitment deals or people taking stuff way too seriously, we are just looking for a chill group to join to play together and be able to share both of our fleets with to help everyone out. If theres a discord we can join or something send me a PM and we will come check it out!
I am 44 years old, been around the game for 5 or so years. Just got a new computer that finally plays the game well, and I want to get into an Org. I play mainly from 8pm to 2am EST Mon-Fri, and whenever on weekends. I really want to find a small to medium sized Org, don't want to just be lost in the shuffle. Really want to have weekly events in those time frames. Would also really like to find an Org that actually has a looking for group channel, instead of sit in vc mentality.
Hey everyone i want to find a few people or a smaller org EU or German based. I realy like the industrial gameplay like mining, salvage and haul that stuff and i got a medium fleet that i can share that we can progress together faster :)
Its important for me that its casual even when i play much and i prefer mainly to play just PVE than PVP.
We are looking for an active org in need of a dedicated Ironclad (Assault) Pilot and A Dedicated Engineer. We are on most evening and weekends after work or life permitting. We are well rounded in most fields in the game and have a long time in the game, we are just trying to find an org that will allow us to chase what makes sc fun to us.
Hey guys, as the title says I am looking for an org to join in on for 4.8! A wipe feels like the perfect time to change things up :)
Ideally I'd like a small/medium lawful group. I've played on and off since 2018, but I really want to spend some good time in the verse this patch and onward. I'm open to RP, though I've never done it outside of TTRPGs. Any groups that have good conversations over their travels is right up my alley, I'm not really looking to get hardcore. Honestly, I'd prefer hauling, exploration, and the more laid back activities!
CST, looking for 20+ hours a week, available most days.
Cheers to 4.8
I've been running solo since I started playing since I'm a natural grumpasaur, but I think it might be nice to actually join an org that I can run non-solo missions and activities with.
I figure the reset with 4.8 is a good as time as any to mix things up, and I'm looking for general recommendations for an org to join.
FWIW, my general gameplay style is more laid back, not heavy on PvP (though open to it if I can provide and am provided with backup support), more into exploration/cargo/defense gameplay.
So I will start out by saying, I know that this is likely a me issue, but Im not sure where else to ask, so here we are. Sorry for the book I wrote.
I joined an Org a few months back that claimed to be tight knit group, active discord, lots of events etc. I guess this might be my first misunderstanding, to me, events would be organized weekly get togethers everyone signs up for, sort of like a raiding guild in WoW, we raid Tuesday and Thursday at 9pm every week. Instead, this first guild had exactly 0 events planned for entire month.
OK, fine, no events, so Ill find some pickup groups. Oddly enough, they have 50 discord channels, but none to get a group. When I ask, Im told "just sit in voicechat". Huh? This seems so odd to me. I would expect to find a group in discord, find people wanting to do things I want to do, then join voicechat once we have a group. Worse yet, they have voicechats with 2-10 people already in them. Do I join and essentially beg to join them, or worse yet, beg to have them do what I want?
I felt like I didn't really belong, and along with my computer simply not playing SC very well, I just decided to go back to solo'ing. Recently, I bought a brand new computer and it plays SC well for once, so I joined a new org. This Org seems to be setup in the exact same fashion. I have been in for a few weeks, there was 2 "events", one was middle of day and I have no access to even join if I wanted too, and another was something about naming a dog. That is the only events shown for my entire time. Again, no looking group channel. When I asked if anyone wanted to do a CZ in org chat, was told "sit in voicechat".
Maybe this is just normal for SC, or even guilds/orgs nowadays, but it seems so odd to me from what I am use too. Ive played plenty of games, and anything else, we tended to chat first, find a group, then get in voicechat once the group was figured out. This sit in voicechat 24/7 is just not something I am entirely comfortable with, I don't know anyone for 1, and for 2, I feel like Im essentially begging strangers for help. It feels easier to just ask in chat or reddit for a group, then get in voicechat.
Again, I figure I am likely the problem here, everyone else seems to have no issues, so I guess its just me? Or, is this just a SC thing? Dont get me wrong, Ive been in guilds that we just bs'ed in voicechat, thats not my problem, its the find your group through voicechat.
Hallo zusammen,
Cheers, Marve
They’re flooding the entire sub and look like dogwater! I promise you’ll get more entertainment with a crappy photoshop you did yourself. If you want to grow an org, I jus don’t see ai slop banner as the key lol
hi, i wouldnt mind trying out an org. i havent been in one before, and i predominantly play solo doing freight runs and low risk pve bounties but id like to do more things like combat missions or events with people and multicrew ships. ive been playing for a few years now, and i play from australia on AEST
stuff im wanting is:
-casual group, not taking themselves super seriously
-happy with people who like to do industrial/freight jobs and pve missions
-inclusive, dont need to be harassed for being lgbt
not interested in:
-pvp combat outside of maybe like hunting down criminals as a group thing
-super serious roleplaying/military things. i play to try and relax
-ai slop banners
thanks, let me know if youve got any room for me and hopefully can find somewhere chill and fun
Fellow Citizens,
Tomorrow, the community protest begins.
Many of us spent hundreds or even thousands of hours grinding credits, building fleets, trading, salvaging, mining, bounty hunting, and supporting the Verse. Once again, another wipe threatens to erase that progress.
So this is our response:
We log in.
We stay visible.
But we do not participate.
Starting Tomorrow:
No missions
No cargo hauling
No mining
No salvaging
No bounty hunting
No active economy participation
No additional store spending during the protest
We remain online to show unity, but gameplay stops until Cloud Imperium Games acknowledges the community.
Our Demand
We request a fair wipe compensation of:
3,000,000 aUEC for all active players
This is not about hate.
This is about respecting player time and long-term community support.
The Verse only feels alive because players make it alive.
If enough Citizens stand together, our voices cannot be ignored.
Peaceful Protest Rules
Stay respectful
Do not harass developers or players
Do not grief others
Keep discussions constructive
Spread the message across orgs and servers
Tomorrow we stand together.
No Compensation — No Gameplay.

Hey folks,
Been playing SC since January 2022 and I hop on pretty regularly (enough to be Evo). I'm just looking for a chill group where we can team up, mess around, and have a good time — no pressure, no hardcore commitments or quotas to meet.
Quick rundown on me:
What I'm after is a relaxed org with good vibes, lots of laughs, and people who actually play together. No heavy milsim, no required RP, none of that super serious stuff. Just fun group activities, some banter on voice, and flying around causing (mostly legal) chaos.
Thanks for reading, catch you in the 'verse o7
Hey all. I'm a hobbyist dev with an Arma/FiveM background and I've spent the last while building something I genuinely wanted to exist for large SC org operations. It's called Star Comms and the idea is pretty simple: push-to-talk radio nets for multi-crew, multi-ship, multi-squadron ops, tied to your Discord so there's no separate account or IP address to hand out.
If you're in the org's Discord, an admin can put you on the net. That's basically it. Nobody self-assigns to channels, admins control who goes where in real time.
What it actually does:
The client is a Windows desktop app going through Microsoft's packaging pipeline so it'll be properly signed. Server side it's self-hostable on a basic VPS, roughly on par with Mumble for requirements.
It's free. This is a hobby and I have no plans to charge for it. I just want it to actually work before I drop it to the broader community, which is why I'm here. If your org runs combined arms ops with capital ships, fighters, infantry and drop ships all talking at once, that's exactly the situation I've been building for and I'd love to have you stress test it.
If you're interested, check out Star-comms.org .
Hit the request access and it'll link you to the disc.
Happy to answer questions about how it works too, I know handing a random exe to your members is a hard sell and I get it.

Hey citizens,
Over the past few days I've been building a custom web portal for my org [ITWSI] – The Warfighting Society, and I figured I'd share what it can do in case other org leaders are looking for something similar — or just want to steal ideas.
What is it?
A self-hosted, full-stack org management platform built with FastAPI + React. It runs behind your own domain, has its own auth system, and gives your org a proper "home base" that's not just a Discord channel or a Google Sheet.
Features:
Recruitment
Roster
Fleet
Operations Center
Treasury
Mining & Trading
Storage
Tactical Map (Taktik / Taktik3D)
Diplomacy
Units
Chat
Patch Notes
Why not just use Discord?
Discord is great for voice and quick chat, but it's terrible for structured data. You can't query your fleet, you can't see who applied last week, you can't track where your org credits went. This fills that gap.
It's currently running at starcitizen.thewarfightingsociety.com — happy to answer questions about the stack or open-source specific parts if there's interest.
If you're building something similar or want to collaborate, drop a comment or DM.
Fly safe o7
Been in the verse in one way or another for the better part of 10 years now. Started playing with a group I was a part of from DayZ when it was a mod for Arma 2. Eventually we just all drifted away and life just took control. Just started to get back into it as much as I can but being a solo player with little to no experience doing anything else but hauling missions. All in all, I'm just looking for a nice chill org to run with when I'm not at work.
