This kid...

...casually going 45-50 down Hwy K with no way to stop in an emergency. Second time I've seen him. This might be my most boomer opinion but this seems incredibly unsafe not only for him but drivers around him. He's not the easiest to see right away with no lights or turn signals. At least he's wearing a helmet.

Just keep an eye out if you're on Hwy K around 3:15-3:30.

Ward 1 election tiebreaker on April 21, 2026 at 7:00 PM in City Hall.

The tiebreaker for the Ward 1 City Council seat will be done at the City Council meeting at 7:00 PM this Tuesday.

It's going to be a figurative coin toss. Their names will be placed in an opaque container and then the winner will be randomly drawn.

Coin flip democracy heck yeah.

What's Next After #NoKings? On May 1st, We Shut Down The Country

On Saturday, No Kings reached into 3,300+ communities in every single congressional district, including more than 600 for the first time. More than 1 of every 50 Americans showed up. The energy to defeat Trump and the billionaires is there. Now, we need to convert it into power.

May Day Strong organizers are calling for a higher level of commitment for the next day of protest, collective action for May 1st. We're holding a full national shutdown: no work, no school, no commerce. And we’re going beyond rejecting Trump’s oligarchic project to propose one of our own: a real affordability agenda with detailed policy proposals to build multiracial democracy, change the economic rules in our country and put the good life within everyone’s reach.

The build is well under way. Let's make sure we do our part.

We can take the pledge to strike here, and start asking folks around us to do the same.

We can find out what's involved in hosting an action here - 3300 won't come easy.

We can read the full people's agenda here.

And we can join a mass call to learn more on Thursday, April 9th here.

Also in today’s Rogan’s List:

Water pressure near Lindenwood campus

Did anyone else lose water pressure a few minutes ago? I saw some utility crews yesterday in the neighborhood and some guys checking fire hydrants. I figured this was somehow related to my current issue.

Relocating to St. Peter’s — any job recommendations ?

Hello! STL resident here (21f) moving a bit further away from the city into St. Peter’s with my partner, and I’m in some pretty dire need of a new job :/

So I currently have a job in a medical transportation call center, and at this point I feel as though the commute just isn’t worth it when you look at the pay and benefits. Truthfully, I’m not the pickiest when it comes to jobs and I have a pretty wide range so far. Here’s a general summary.

  1. Overall experience in customer service and hospitality from the age of 17, including places like Schnucks, Dierbergs, and other restaurants.

  2. Strong experience in call centers starting from 2024. l’ll include more specific examples below

  3. Life insurance experience in every role*but* sales — lead generating, customer service, client retention & debt collection, and a department specializing in finding resources & assistance for disabled and elderly clients.

  4. About a year at etrailer.com at their call center taking care of customer service/concerns, technical support, dealer connections and sales. Essentially I was paid to talk about trailer, vehicle, electrical, RV and camper parts all day.

  5. Current job includes a ton of HIPPA training and assisting clients with rides to their medical appointments.

My last job at etrailer paid $20 hourly, and my current is paying me $18, so anything close to that range is greatly appreciated. Just hoping anyone is out there that can help — Indeed has been a massive flop so far and I can seriously take all the advice I can get. Thank you so much for reading this far!!

Looking for Pest Control Companies who do Liquid Termite Treatment via Drilling

I don’t want bait traps. I don’t want to subscribe $800 a year to keep the problem at bay.

I want the problem solved with a 5-10 year guarantee. What companies in the area do that?

Six Flags St. Louis sale and current memberships

Does anyone know what happened to our memberships in the transfer/sale? The email about the sale stated that our memberships would still be valid for the 2026 season but I logged into the app and our passes are gone. We have been members for years and always used our digital pass. Is there a new app we need to use or should we just cancel our membership?

Nightlife recs

Hi St Charles!

My baby sister turns 21 in the beginning of May. I am not familiar with the bars/clubs in this area or St Louis area because I currently live in Louisiana, and when I did live in the area, I was a minor. I'm looking for recommendations on where to take her so any raves on bars/clubs would be appreciated.

Initially, we were just going to go to the Ameristar, but she would rather hop.

Bill 5474 Passed…Hundreds were ignored.

🚨 Tonight, hundreds of people showed up at the St. Charles County Council meeting to speak out against Bill 5474 a bill allowing local police to partner with ICE under 287(g).

Most people weren’t given the chance to speak. An elder veteran spoke clearly, with compassion and was dismissed.

This isn’t just about a vote. It’s about how our communities are treated, how our voices are treated.

We talk about protecting our neighborhoods. We talk about protecting people. This bill makes that harder.

We the People we’re still here. We’re still watching. We’re still going to speak.
