Standard Outside Approved - Thailand [Feb 6th]

Long time lurker here ~ want to thank everyone for always pinning in their visa/bio/eco dates so we're all in the same boat and can share frustrations but also joyous approvals such as today.

Application from Thailand, very straightforward (cash savings, married in UK etc).

  • App date: 3rd Feb
  • Bio date: 6th Feb
  • ECO: 23rd Feb
  • 2nd ECO: 4th April
  • Approval: 20th April 2:58PM [51 WD]

Note no solicitors used, no paid enquiries (appreciate it is within the 60 working days so wasn't going to avail that option until it passed).

Good luck to all, hope the dates give some of you reassurance that it will be your turn soon that are also using the standard service as opposed to priority.

ECO email: 16/02/26

Request for further documents: 16/04/26 (more proof of relationship, sale of house/proof of funds and accommodation)

Approval email: 20/04/26!

WD: 54 I believe.

Priority, Outside (March 17 BIO) — APPROVED 💕💕

(Starting a new post following my previous post from last week)...

Been an absolute whirlwind this morning, and I’m still shaking…. I received the approval email at 2:58pm (UK time). Thank you to everyone on here who has been incredibly supportive and has kept me (relatively) sane during what felt like an eternal wait.

Some information which I hope will be helpful to those who are still waiting:
Bio: May 17
ECO: May 18
Approval email: April 20

We never paid to check on the status and were not asked for further proof of documentation. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and have two children. We used my husband’s salary as proof of finances.

I’m very much looking forward to being reunited with both my children and husband. And wishing everyone who is still in limbo the best of luck.

Priority spouse visa timeline + travelling to UK on ETA while pending (lawyer advice + outcome)

Hi all,

Sharing our experience.

Timeline (priority application):

Biometrics: 18 Feb

RFI: 29 March

RFI response: 1 April

Decision: 20 April

RFI asked for:

- Relationship evidence

- Financials (employment letter + bank statements)

- Accommodation support

We provided:

- Photos (incl. wedding/family), WhatsApp logs, travel tickets

- Employer letter confirming salary + bank statements

- Signed tenancy agreement + agent confirmation + deposit/rent proof

- No payslips were requested and we didn’t include them.

Travelling on ETA while visa pending:

We spoke to immigration lawyers.

Their view:

Allowed to travel as a visitor while a spouse visa is pending

Must satisfy genuine visitor test at the border

In our case:

Wife still employed

Approved leave (~3 weeks)

Employment evidence + payslips

Ongoing accommodation

Return travel planned

Thanks all

Outside standard approved

American spouse with UK partner using part US job and part UK job (recently started UK job) as finance proof.

Bio: Jan 29th

Approved: April 16th

I was starting to get very demoralised as initially we had seen people get theirs within a month and were very optimistic to start. Finally over now!

Approved Standard UK - Switch from Fiance to Spouse Bio 24th March

This was suprisingly very quick and unexpected considering our initial fiance visa took over 120 days for a decision to be made.

Here's our timeline for switching from fiance to spouse inside the UK.

Bio: March 24th

Approval: 20th April

Standard

Goodluck to everybody. 🙂

Interview invite

Hello guys. Did anyone here in this community ever get an email about a invitation for an online interview about the UK spouse visa before? I did my bio on May 2025 and finally received an email from noreply@fcdos.gov.uk (with a link for the interview)that me and husband need to attend an interview online. I know it's rare but definitely a progress for us. Any tips for me guys about what questions they want to ask. And also would they give me the result a week after?

Reminder to book appointment for biometrics when I have already done it on February 20, 2026. Has anyone received this email?

Refusal Needing advice🙏

I thought I could combine my 24/25 self employed income with my savings held for 6 months apparently you can only do that with paye income big mistake😭

I've made over the threshold in 25/26 tax year so we are going to reapply does everything else look good if I get above threshold? I'm overthinking if I should get a solicitor for reapplying I don't know if the case worker just stopped there and something else can also cause a refusal or if it's as simple as just fixing my income for the new tax year and it will get approved can anyone give this a read and give your thoughts please It would be really appreciated.

Fiance to Spouse Visa Document Clarification

Hi there, might be a dumb question but as far as I can see when applying to switch to the spouse visa, I'm essentially including all the documents I used for the Fiance visa (updated for recency where needed and minus the TB test as I don't need clearance), our marraige certificate and proof of the paid helath charge. Is this correct?

And then I use the same form that would be used for the extension of the spouse visa?

Unmarried Partner Visa Evidence Check

Hello all!

My partner (21M British citizen) and I (25M Serbian/Bulgarian citizen) are looking to apply for an unmarried partner visa as soon as we tick all the eligibility boxes. We have been together long distance (0 cohabitation or joined utility) for 5 years now and we're eager to close the gap already. Right now, for the hard stuff, we need one more payslip proving the minimum income and my partner is looking for a place to move out so we comply with accommodation space.

We're slowly starting to gather and build the documentation to prove the relationship is akin to marriage and we plan to include the stuff as follows:

-flight and hotel/apartment bookings for 11 visits and vacations including 3 to my country and 5 to his, often during notable events like birthdays and holidays

-photos from the times we were together (including him at my masters defending presentation and him with my parents)

-larger and some smaller transfers between eachother for bookings and other stuff

-concert tickets for 2 concerts of our favorite bands

-physical stuff we've gifted and shipped to eachother (ie. flagship phone, giant box of snacks, hand made plushy, cards..)

-few letters from people in the UK confirming our long lasting and committed relationship

-some other stuff which I'm not thinking off right now

We understand that we're slightly lacking on the financial proof that the relationship is akin to marriage so we're considering starting a joined savings account. It wouldn't be an actual joined account, but rather I'd be sending my partner a sum of money every month and he will put it, alongaide an equal amount from him, into a separate savings pot which we won't touch.

We know that we should have started sooner than 3 months before applying, but we were thinking of spinning it as "when we started to feel the application for me to move to the UK was near, we wanted to start a saving pot" or something along the lines. Would something like this be a convincing piece of evidence for the home office that we share financial responsibility? It's difficult to share responsibilities and intermingle our finances when all transfers come with wiring fees...

Along that, we are considering having my partner add me as a beneficiary to his insurance and pension funds in case he's in an accident. Has anyone ever done that with a partner that is from abroad? Is it even possible and will this be worth out time right now?

We would greatly appreciate any info or saying whether we have a chance with this type of visa. We've seen posts of people getting approved with more proof and also with less proof but nevertheless, we want to air on the side of immense caution and strengthen the application as much as possible.

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this and for all the replies!

I applied for spouse visa application for my husband to come to uk

I applied for spouse visa application for my husband to come to uk from Pakistan through lawyers and solicitors. His visa got rejected as I didn’t meet the financial requirements. The lawyers didn’t take that seriously and went ahead with the application because I am autistic and I don’t need to meet the requirement as I have a learning disability. The home office didn’t accept my disability because I’m not on any benefit and I work full time. The lawyers still went ahead with the application even though home office says you have to be on benefits. Anyways it has been couple weeks now since this all happened and I have appealed on the basis that even though I’m not on any benefits I still really struggle with my mental health and autism, and I can’t work a second job cause of my disability. Please can someone guide me what I should do next if someone has been through same situation as me. Thanks in advance.

When can my wife apply for her ILR

I am a British citizen and my wife is on a 5 year route. She applied for her first visa from outside the UK and got it on May 2022. This was valid until the end of 2024. This has been renewed and her 2nd visa is valid until August 2027.

When can she apply for the ILR?

Would it be May 2027? Or Aug 2027? I am aware that she can apply 30 days before the end of her visa validity but not sure if she can apply 5 years from May 2022 or when her current visa will end.

Thanks
