Can a Primaris Marine really solo a Terminator, Chaos or otherwise?
I find myself wondering if Primaris are so much more of an upgrade from Firstborn Marines that they really can go toe-to-toe with Terminators the way we do in SM2 where you can theoretically solo one, hell 2-3 if you're good enough, and defeat all of them.
Bearing in mind the whole reason Terminator, AKA "Tactical Dreadnaught" armor exists was to afford more protection in clearing Space Hulks than normal Marine armor could provide, but also within the tight confines of ship corridors, therefore you couldn't bring an actual Dreadnaught (EDIT: apparently it's also to withstand the radiation found on said Hulks). There's also a reason you need special honors to wear Terminator armor, the Crux Terminatus.
So by default the Primaris armor should be weaker than Terminator armor, with the possible exception of Straban, because I may have read somewhere that his Mark X Gravis armor is like, one small step below Terminator armor in terms of strength and durability. So following that logic, the only Marine in SM2 who should be able to pick up Terminators over his head and slam them so hard they shatter is Straban, the Heavy/Devastator.
Now obviously Demetrian Motherfucking Titus is his own thing, but at the end of the day, he's still not rocking Mark X Gravis armor. So why is he picking up Terminators over his head. Why are any of us.
And also, if your now normal Marines can slaughter Terminators at will, why even bother having (Loyalist) Terminators?
Also also, if we were to have Terminator armor - which we won't, at least not in SM2 - what would be the point if your average Tactical Marine can square up with a Terminator and all he needs is Primaris armor? What would be the point of Terminator armor in-game?
Now I will also admit, and most likely answer my own question with this: there's a reason why their page here calls them Primarysues and Chadmarines and such, and I am aware that it is possible that Primaris Marines were marketed as Space Marine-ier Space Marines (to sell TT models, breathe new life into the franchise, advance the plot, etc.) so much that no one really stopped to ask just how much stronger they were than normal Marines. And of course, true fans of the franchise know that GW is about as consistent as <hysterical laughter> so I could be just reading far too much into it because GW be GW. But still I do wonder.
Bring back Marines having voices like in Dawn Of War
In other words, bring back Marines sounding like this.
At least for me there was something about how unnaturally deep their voices sounded that really drove home what is touched on a few times in the lore: that the Astartes have been so throughly augmented and transformed that they're not even really human anymore. Since we're getting different dialogue packs, I hope one of them is bringing back Marines sounding like they're about to kill the Third Sister.

Also, slightly unrelated, I find myself realizing that this screenshot is old enough to walk into a bar and order a beer...in the US. My knees immediately started hurting.
The best new player clutch I have seen. Had to coach being dead. Witness this greatness. Helping new players is a rush.
I joined a random game and this dude was just new. Leveling doing hard siege and doing pretty well. The first 5 waves I was helping them understand the game. I run healing bulwark and was teaching how he can be a mock healer. I died fighting the carnifex and 2 ravs. He tried to save me but he turned around and saved the game. This is the epic run of my random homie. May we meet again in battle brother!
Chaos range terminator vs Lictor
In 1v1 scenarios like this 9 out of 10 times Lictor just wins.
2v2 on the other hand, Terminators stomp

Accessible Space Marines
Hey. I've built accessibility software that lets people play games without using hands. Was playing with it on a few games this week including Space Marine 2. So sharing my gameplay here too!

Operation idea: Obliteration
Had a pitch I feel like would be awesome to play through. I split it into some viable main beats I think would be interesting, kind of a homage to SM1 where you use a titan to obliterate the spire on Graia.
Your squad lands on Demerium to stop a reported chaos wave amassing to regroup a foothold on the planet and search for Aurora remnants.
Upon reaching an abandoned imperial guard vantage point to assess the size and threat of chaos forces. The chaos force is larger than expected and you are detected and have to hold off a horde similar to the midpoint and end of the Disruption op, slowly locking down the area via a large crypt gate and blocking your comms to report the incursion.
Having no way to report the immediate threat the chaos reinforcement poses, you are aware that there is no available ordanance to combat such a foe, suddenly a tech priest intercepts your comms and claims you may be able to briefly reactivate a nearby defunct titans plasma annihilator from a nearby mechanicus site.
After reaching the site, your squad find multiple batteries similar to those in Fall of Atreus op that need recharging and linking to the titan. Whilst fighting off chaos incursions, players guide the batteries to specific ports for each induvidual battery and commence a massive charge to the weapons plasma reactors.
Once the charge reaches a certain level, your squad reaches a comms station and links the titans weapons over to the mechanicus and are ordered to evacuate the site should the plasma become unstable. You lockdown the site and fend off chaos forces trying to stop your escape. Once your squad clears the area and reach a viable landing zone, the titan briefly reawakens, its plasma anihilator firing a massive destructive beam into the chaos foothold, obliterating everything in its path.
Need to rant
I've got NO issue with lower level/ lower skilled players. they're either learning, or perhaps more casually gaming, whatever. but the amount of people I'm finding in hard stratagems that are low level/ clearly too incompetent for the mission is getting annoying.
take the current stratagem. I use sniper, I stick a little further back, I pick off groups of majoris enemies so they can't camp and snipe, or for easy armour regain. I SOLO'D an entire terminus wave, with a dude built for high, single-target damage, not massive group damage/ clearing. and I do all that, for my level 5, 9, 13, whatever number teammate to die to a single majoris enemy.
I appreciate people wanting to do end game content, I appreciate having people that are willing to try, but if you clearly cannot handle a lethal/ absolute/ hard stratagem, please stick to something easier until your skill level is high enough to handle the pressure of this games hardest content. I understand people wanting to play the content they want to play, but at some point you need to reflect on your own skill level and improve on what's lacking so you can function alone *and* as a team.
I'm not going to pretend I'm some god-given player, I mess up plenty of times. but to get to the point I'm at now, where I'm comfortable enough to handle groups of majoris/ extremis enemies on my own with nearly any class, it took time, it took practice, it took understanding attack patterns and timings in easier difficulties as I levelled up.
if this comes across as rude to anyone, then I'm sorry, I'm sure whatever reason you have for being angry is valid. but man, it just reaches a point. my responsibility is to contribute to the team as a whole, not babysit someone stuck behind me dying to a single enemy because our third has run ahead and left us both behind. there's no shame in practicing in a lower difficulty, just like there's no shame in attempting something harder, but please, please realise that if you're running into endgame content underleveled/skilled, there isn't anyone to carry you. it's full throttle from start to finish in most weekly stratagems, this one especially because of the modifiers. if I'm getting my ass beat by 9 majoris snipers at once, I can't just drop my fight to run back and help you.
about everything. more therapeutic to type it out than I thought it would be. I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on this, whether it's positive or negative

Demetrian Titus
Finally finished painting this statue of Titus made by the artist Szymon Szpaczek for Bulkamancer Sculpts. The Tyranid warrior head is was an addition I made from a model by xristinaladogianni.
I'm starting the game today. How do I get this helmet?
I don't think there's any need to mention that I think it looks fire. All about the drip. Do I need to pay or can I grind for it?
messing around with photomode
Figured I’d finally get around to making a BT set. No pity, no remorse, no fear!
