What should I buy?

What should I buy?

TLDR; I need: bushings, bearings, wheels and in the short future some trucks

I skateboarded for 10 years, and I treated myself to my first pair of independents ever (crazy right) just before I took about a 10 year hiatus.

I picked up skateboarding again and I love it, but they’re constantly pulling to one side and the back truck was constantly going much looser than the front which is my main gripe. I have never had this happen before and independents are supposed to be the best right? Maybe I can blame the 10 year old bushings perhaps.

I would love to buy Indy titanium’s, or even the normal hollows, but that’s money I’d rather not spend atm and not sure I really need to.

What should I do?

My bearings are tired and my wheels are just basic as anything and also tired. I always had bones reds as a go to.

I’ve seen I can get slappy pre-broken in standard bushings for £10 which is good, but I’ve seen people rate bones bushings highly, however I don’t wanna spend too much on bushing when It’s a big chuck I could just put towards new trucks.

Wheels, I’d love to get some spitfires to try them for the first time ever. What’re the best value for money for a standard mix of park/street?

Thanks 🙏🏼

Where to find skateboarding tool: Axle Nut

The axle nut on my skateboard fell off and im not sure where it went as it loosened while i was riding. I plan to find one today. Where would be the best place to grab one, would zumiez have one or a hardware store? And do they come in different sizes depending on the truck size or brand?

How do you protect the toe area on skate shoes? Globe Tilt wearing out after only a few weeks

Hi there,
I’ve been skating actively for only a few weeks in my new Globe Tilt shoes, and the right shoe is already getting heavily worn from the grip tape, while the left shoe still looks almost new.

I ride goofy, so my right foot is the one that gets most of the abrasion.

Back around 2005, I remember Vans used to sell repair kits specifically for reinforcing worn skate shoes. As far as I know, those products disappeared years ago.

I’ve tried designing and 3D printing a protective layer from TPU, but it tends to peel off or tear away pretty quickly.

Do you have any proven fixes or products that actually work?

I have been skating for 10 years plus but now trying to learn lots of the tricks I've never learn't and I've come to realise that I lean heavily on my front foot for many tricks, and many tricks that land on the front foot first are much easier than back foot. Nose grinds and manuals are much easier than five o or regular manual. Landing into 5050 is always safer if I land nose first, even on transition I find myself putting lots of weight on the front foot.

Looking for advice to correct this habit.

Thanks

I am trying to explain a trick to someone I did by accident today. I was just trying a simple kickflip rock and roll but I overshot it and landed in a perfect blunt stall and rolled away with it. Unfortunately my camera wasn’t aimed at it and I couldn’t land it again when actually trying to do it.

If someone can find a video of someone else doing it, I’d be stoked. Google and YouTube failed me.
