How do you protect the toe area on skate shoes? Globe Tilt wearing out after only a few weeks
Hi there,
I’ve been skating actively for only a few weeks in my new Globe Tilt shoes, and the right shoe is already getting heavily worn from the grip tape, while the left shoe still looks almost new.
I ride goofy, so my right foot is the one that gets most of the abrasion.
Back around 2005, I remember Vans used to sell repair kits specifically for reinforcing worn skate shoes. As far as I know, those products disappeared years ago.
I’ve tried designing and 3D printing a protective layer from TPU, but it tends to peel off or tear away pretty quickly.
Do you have any proven fixes or products that actually work?
