I have a pretty decent gaming desktop PC and an aluminium 4080 profile simulator rig that I would like to take with me to India if possible. Curious if anyone on here has considered doing the same or has done it in the past.

  1. With high prices for PC components is there a safe way to dismantle and package only the key components in carry-on. Motherboard, cpu, gpu. Buy a new case, cooling fans, power supply in India.

  2. Will there be customs and duties for something like that?

Alternatively I have considered selling my pc here and maybe swap for a high powered laptop which will not be as good as desktop. Or just buy /build new pc in India.

Anyone with similar experience?

Is simraceruk (simracer.uk) a trustworthy website to order from?

I was trying to find any previous discussion/question which mentioned this website, I've seen that the deals look quite good and was just writing this post to see if anyone has ever ordered a product from here (could be literally anything) and if so, how did it go?

Edit: I also want this post to be helpful in the case that someone else wonders the same thing

Help finding pc for sim racing

I'm really interested in a PC as xbox is very limited in many aspects but i don't have a clue about PCs besides what I learned watching LTT over covid lol. I'd mainly be playing the old assetto with mods for more cars, tracks, better graphics etc, and also ac evo, ac rally and dirt 2.

What kind of specs/parts should I be looking for when buying a beefy pc that will handle 4k/1440p or maybe 1080p triples, last for years with either minimal fiddling with or easy maintenence? Ill need a good ssd obviously, I think ddr5 ram is best for modern games but not sure, are rtx cards good for racing games or will an older ti do the job?

My DIY Sim Racing Journey: Building everything from WindSim to Custom Dashboards. Shared all builds on YouTube!

He estado trabajando en:

Volantes personalizados.
