Meet Harlow 🐾

Anyone else’s 5 months old Sheepadoodle barking and growling at people? We just adopted him but so far he seems a little reactive. Harlow stares puppy training in two weeks. Please tell me he’s not the only one and that it gets better with age and training or ever that they grow out of it lol

Luna just wants to show off her new tail

Luna still had red left from Christmas so me and her groomer decided to see how blue over the red would turn out. This has been everyone's favorite color so far. What do you think?

Welcoming Kora

We welcomed Kora, our 8 week-old Sheepadoodle into our home this weekend, and the kids and I couldn't be happier!! Day 4, and she has settled in quite well so far... chewing on everything, but is easily redirected to her toys. Loves cuddles on the lounge whilst watching TV, but loves chasing my 3 and 7 year old girls around the house. Our 2 cats have been a bit out of sorts (has been a couple of years since we had a dog - which was an english staffy that was very boisterous) but they have started inspecting and getting close for sniffs!

Absolutely smitten with the newest member of our family :)

Tucker is an ESA and trust me - he more than earns his keep.

His Dogfather isn't very good at taking care of himself so Tux keeps him on track - happy to spend hours asleep on the couch while Daddy writes late into the night - so they can roam fifteen forested acres in the middle of nowhere together.

This week Daddy wrote a screenplay. Tucker held the ground.

Good boy doesn't begin to cover it.

(This was his first full puppy coat - and I just didn't have the heart to get it cut until we absolutely had to!! LOL)

Doodles ate my tampons

Sorry for the graphic details in advance! My 3yo (60lb) sheepadoodle has gotten into the trash on blood week again and eaten around 5 tampons max?🤦🏻‍♀️ he’s done this once before and eaten I’m guessing 2x the amount. Last time he ate, played, pottied like normal for three whole days then randomly vomited them all up. Never really showed signs of anything abnormal. Which I guess was best case scenario. I fed him some pumpkin puree and added small amount of oil to his food to ease my mind. Not a ton of vets near me and everyone I called said they would immediately take him into surgery. (Which proved last time to be unnecessary) Really just looking for any advise to help him/ease my mind if you have experience with this. Thanks!

Pic for attention (and cuteness!)

Native Doodles

Anyone know anything about Native Doodles in TN? I’m looking at getting a dog from them as I have heard good things but all the reviews I have found praise the breeder “Caitlyn” but it looks like this is (now?) owned by a “Carrie”. They used to be based out of OKC but are now in TN so I’m wondering if they sold the business and have new owners. If so, I’m curious if anyone can share their experience with Carrie, the current owner/breeder?

Already puppy-proofing - advice for stairs :)

I'm moving into a new townhouse in late summer, and we will get out new puppy in the fall or spring.

One of my biggest concerns are the stairs with a large goofy puppy and children. How have you handled it? I was thinking gates at the top and bottom of all stairs, rules to always hold the railing, and let the puppy go first down or up?

flying vs driving

I've never flown with an animal, so I will take all the advice I can. I need to travel 1600 miles with my 2 yr old dog. I could drive or fly as I will be staying there for about 3 months. Does anyone have an opinion on which is less stressful for a dog and why. My previous golden doodle did not like long drives and would do "anxiety panting" despite frequent walks and hikes along the trip.

Also if flying makes sense, any recs for crate for a 68 lb boy. Size reference, he's pictured here with his Great Dane friend.
