I'm moving into a new townhouse in late summer, and we will get out new puppy in the fall or spring.

One of my biggest concerns are the stairs with a large goofy puppy and children. How have you handled it? I was thinking gates at the top and bottom of all stairs, rules to always hold the railing, and let the puppy go first down or up?
