I have a bunch of guitars that all need to be re-set up by a professional. None are in bad shape, but it would be most efficient for an experienced (with references) person to make a house call. DM me if interested.
Come party with some killer bands 🙂
Come see Portland’s Stoner Control with two great local bands supporting on 4/22 at Baba Yaga! Doors 7pm, music at 8pm.
Hello!
I live in the Seattle area and am working on a concert application that I would love some feedback on. It's a legit application with the ability to see upcoming concerts and then save the ones that are interesting, that you are going to, and then track the ones you have been to.
I built for myself but it's proving to be pretty useful, so sharing to see if folks would check it out.
Full transparency, it is connected to multiple music services, and I hope to get approval for the TicketMaster affiliate program at some point to monetize it through clicked ticket sales... no ads for now. :)
Thanks in advance!
Me and my friend have a sort of weird band just djembe and bass guitar sort of dub inspired project. We just got finished recording our ep and want to try to book a gig or two. Just wondering what some places are that book smaller acts and might cater to our weird music ?
We are in need of about 5-8 people to help unload our risers from storage and taking them to the venue in Lower Queen Ann to set up. Should be from 1-5p this Wednesday. Anyone free to help out a bit? The choir is Pudget Soundworks. We also need help taking it down on the 26th around 6p-8p, followed by taking it back to storage.
Hi friends! Keith from Qeetba Records here, we host a recurring (~1/month) house show at a big house in Capitol hill. We can fit ~30+ folks on rainy and cold days inside. In the summer, we can fit 3x that amount. We currently have two artists in residency:
- Keith Wayne - Americana singer-songwriter indie folk rock.
- BRYTWD - Psychedelic Indie Rock with a little gospel thrown in.
We're looking for guest bands to rotate in on the bill and play sets. Sets can be from 15 to 45 minutes. This is a perfect opportunity for smaller bands that are just launching and need a friendly crowd to play to while they're prepping for larger, public shows, or even established acts that want to play an intimate set.
We've been running these for several months now and a good time is had by all.
We have a full FOH sound system, catered food, and it's a good vibe. We also have a full studio of equipment if you need to borrow something to play.
Equipment list:
* Guitars - Acoustic, 12 string, Tele, Strat, Hollow, Semi hollow, Fender Jazz Bass, other basses, etc.
* Keys - Baby grand (for acoustic nights only), electronic piano.
* Vocal Mics, Monitors
* Drums - we have a Roland TD-25 digital drum kit with mandala heads and an acoustic jazz kit.
If you'd like to be considered to get into the rotation, please apply by filling out: https://forms.gle/pDFoPG9Z2SV2cTM26
Hey! We’re a power-pop / punk band from Portland, and we’re looking to play a show on July 24 or 25. Anyone need an opener or want to put something together?
Here's a clip from our last gig so you can see the vibe. We love house shows! Feel free to comment or DM :)
pretty random but does anyone know who the photographer at showbox sodo is? or what his Instagram is? I always always see him at every show but I never know where he posts all the pictures or whatever😭
Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Better Lovers, Killer Be Killed) revives synthwave project The Black Queen in honor of 10-year anniversary of debut album Fever Daydream for multi-city US tour kicking off in Seattle May 7. Danny Lohner (NIN, A Perfect Circle) will join the band on stage + support acts Reba Meyers (Code Orange) and Amulets. This is the first The Black Queen has performed in 7 years.
Hello kind redditors!
I was at a show last Tuesday at Baba Yaga and had my jacket, hoodie, and a few other items stolen. The venue hasn't had them turned in (their thought was maybe someone took it on accident; a nice thought, but alas) so thought I'd post here. It was on the edge of a booth at Baba Yaga that I stood 5 feet from. It was a small show, probably less than 75 people.
Items below, no questions asked if you have seen them or acquired them. Some of these are a lil sentimental and also costly, just trying to recover any or all.
Black H&M oversized denim jacket
- in fact my favorite jacket.
- includes pins of a cat holding a slice of pizza, and a pin that says "cats won't tell cops where your drugs are".
Black hoodie
-Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground printed in front left
- this one is sentimental! This is my husband's old band, and this is the only hoodie we have left of the merch.
Keys including keyless Fob for a KIA, house keys, pocket knife, and a leather tag with my dogs name on it
- expensive! Our keyless fob is $500~ to replace, which we don't have.
- leather tag is sentimental because it was a gift
JLAB Bluetooth ear buds in teal
- these are cheap and old, but still want them back pls
Brown tortoiseshell prescription sunglasses
-annoying more than anything else because they were my only sunglasses 😂
I don't have a photo of any of these items, so photo of the venue included
I work at a small game studio here in Seattle with my husband. A while back, he reached out to musicians he knew and had played with, to write and record an album of songs inspired by the alien factions in our upcoming game. The result is 10 songs of punk and alt-rock with titles like "Silicon Graveyard," "Body Slams Everywhere!" and "Rangus Is the Place."
Really proud of what the Seattle music community made with this.

Thank you for listening 🎭
We are breaking away from our lovely comfortable homebase of Portland to have a little road trip for the first time AND WE ARE BRINGING FRIENDS! See us in OLYMPIA, WA with fellow PDX punks @teethforeyes and local Seattle punk friends/phenoms @kids_on_fire_seattle!!! Join us at @mccoyscavern in three weeks, 5/9th!!!
Just uploaded my video podcast episode with Kid Sensation. He talked about touring with NWA, Hammer, Beastie Boys and songs with Sir Mix-A-Lot, Ken Griffey Jr and more. Let me know what you think! Episode 42 is also on apple and Spotify if you don’t like youtube.
We're an aggressive/heavy band with melodic/emo tendencies looking for another guitarist and bass player to round out the lineup.
Influences include Every Time I Die, Glassjaw, My Chemical Romance, AFI, Converge, The Armed, Refused, The Dillinger Escape Plan etc etc
We're in our 30s, have jobs and not looking to do anything full time or tour. We want to play locally in the Seattle area, melt faces, make friends, and have a great fucking time.
Listen to rough mixes here and reach out if you like what you hear!

I used to be in the Seattle dance music/club scene, found my way there due to years of producing/DJing etc. But deep down, all along, I was much more called to singing, songwriting, beyond dance music. Some strange intersection between electronic, alt/indie rock, etc. I’m having a really hard time finding groups/events/hangs. Dance music was easy, really easy to spot the nights, figure out who to talk to, etc. But now that I’ve transitioned away from that, I’m struggling.
I miss having folks around driven by similar things. Motivating each other. Sharing ideas. It feels a bit like a hole to fill.
Where are the watering holes for people like me? I live in SLU, able to walk to Cap Hill, Belltown, Downtown core, etc.
