Why Are So Many Breweries In Places You Can Only Really Drive To Get To?

I have noticed that bars tend to be in more community spaces and breweries are usually out of the main residential zones besides a few, and most people that show up at breweries usually drive. This is the case especially in Rancho Cordova.

🚨Animal abuse at 5505 Sky Park Apartments Sacramento CA, 95823🚨

🚨 WARNING TO ANYONE CONSIDERING SKY PARK APARTMENTS 🚨

This apartment complex allowed children to terrorize and abuse community cats for MONTHS while management looked the other way.

Cats were:
- chased
- kicked
- threatened
- poisoned
- disappearing one by one

Over 20 cats are now missing, dead, or suspected poisoned.

I personally documented children on camera threatening cats, harassing my service dog, screaming racial slurs, and making violent comments. My service dog is now fearful because of the constant harassment.

Want to know the worst part?

When I tried to raise awareness using screenshots from security footage, management told me I was committing “child abuse” by exposing the behavior instead of addressing the abuse happening to animals.

Meanwhile:
- rescuers had to remove 30+ cats from the property for their safety
- tenants complained repeatedly
- management allegedly continued protecting the families involved instead of the animals

Animal abuse is illegal. Defending it is disgusting.

If this happened at your apartment complex, would you stay silent?

Sacramento deserves to know what has been happening here.

Please help bring attention to this situation because animals kept disappearing while management failed to act.

If you believe apartment management should be held accountable for ignoring animal abuse and tenant safety concerns, make your voice heard. Public pressure is often the only thing that forces situations like this to be taken seriously. Share this, report the property to the appropriate agencies, and leave honest public reviews so future tenants know what has been happening here.

Influencer entitlement and digital harassment

I saw a local influencer post whining about a newly opened business.

From what I can tell, he’s mad because he thinks he got them 2k followers and the owners/manager/workers didn’t give him 100% of the credit of the new followers. The owners said they’ve been working hard too, which is completely fair, and apparently that was enough to set him off.

He says he supports local businesses, but it seems like he really wants credit and attention. The second he doesn’t get it, he turns bitter. Like in this case.

Now his followers are going after the business on review sites, and every time someone calls him out on his social, it suddenly becomes “an attack” on him. It’s the same tired influencer behavior. Everything is about them until somebody pushes back.

This influencer says he supports local businesses. That’s not supporting local. That’s being entitled and sending your audience after a small business because your feelings got hurt.

I hate how these local influencers act like they’re helping the community when all they really do is ruin it the second they don’t get their way. Rant over.

Volunteer Opportunities from June - Dec 2026

I have been tasked with identifying volunteer opportunities for our team. Our office is located in Folsom, and we are open to driving to nearby locations for the right opportunity.

We are interested in team-based volunteer activities and are open to suggestions. Ideally, we would like opportunities such as community clean-up events or volunteering at a kitchen/meal service organization.

We are also interested in opportunities that support foster children or survivors of domestic violence and would appreciate any recommendations in those areas as well.

group bike rides that aren't male dominated?

doesn't have to be no guys allowed but in efforts to also make more girl friends and feel less intimidated im hoping theres rides in/around the grid that are perhaps geared towards a more inclusive group? Im already often the only woman at my gym and it gets annoying sometimes lol.
I know sac bike kitchen does their monthly thing but I always miss it! Hoping there is some group ride that is maybe weekly or hosts more events?

Thanks:)

Group exercise classes?

I want to get back into working out. I miss lifting weights, but I cannot do regular gyms anymore. The lack of community those spaces foster and the types of personalities they attract are not for me. I have frequented a lot of gyms and this is my lived experience. I am looking for a gym where the primary focus is group training. Not a traditional gym that offers group classes on the side. If you go to such a place and like it I'd love to hear about your experience!
