Group exercise classes?

I want to get back into working out. I miss lifting weights, but I cannot do regular gyms anymore. The lack of community those spaces foster and the types of personalities they attract are not for me. I have frequented a lot of gyms and this is my lived experience. I am looking for a gym where the primary focus is group training. Not a traditional gym that offers group classes on the side. If you go to such a place and like it I'd love to hear about your experience!

As the title reads I am looking for PCP - Primary care physician recommendations in Sacramento who take Western Health HMO. The one I currently see is pretty impersonal and does not take an active, interested, or holistic approach to my healthcare like the PCP i was seeing in Oakland. I want a doctor who is empathetic, respects that I know myself best and wants to work together as a team - combining their expertise and authority with my wisdom about myself to help me through health issues. I want someone willing to experiment. I do not want a box-checker or a doctor who makes me schedule a visit for every little thing. Bonus points if they do basic things like immunizations in office. I had all of what I am asking for in a doctor I was seeing through my HMO when I lived in Oakland. Hopefully it is not a long shot to find it again.

I know the question of if you should join in your 30s get asked a lot. I'm asking what happened after you joined in your 30s? How did your life and/or career change whether you think it was for the better or worse

Anyone seeing a therapist, are a therapist, or know of a therapist that specializes in...

  1. Ideal Parent Figure (IPF) Imagery: Systematically using guided imagery to create a "new positive, stable internal working model of secure attachment".
  2. Metacognitive Skills: Developing the ability to reflect on one's own mind and mental states.
  3. Collaborative Behavior: Building nonverbal and verbal skills for secure interaction.

Someone who can help build my foundation (secure attachment) before treating my trauma processing. Someone who does more than just listen to me yap and then tell me a bunch of positive affirmations and ends the session.

Someone who can help build my foundation (secure attachment) before treating my trauma processing. Ideally they see patients in person, I am a strong believer that virtual therapy does not cut it for certain types of treatment.
