Yakima BaseLine towers on a 2017 Ford C-MAX. The front clip looks great, but the back clip looks almost like the towers are too close together on the rail and have pulled the clip so it's not fully gripping the door frame. Adding to my suspicion is that while the front towers sit mostly on the metal frame, the back towers are squarely inside the plastic between the roof and door body panels. But I've checked like five times that the rear distance is supposed to be 34 3/4 and it is 34 3/4. So 🤷. Is this thing going to fly off my car the moment I get on a toll road and start going 90?

Actual load weight?

2026 CRV Trailsport
Yakima Mega Warrior max weight cap. 130lbs
Standard Honda Crossbars max weight cap. 220lbs
What would you consider too heavy for this cargo rack? I have 2 large storage totes that I’d like to put up there for a trip and I want to be as safe as possible.
