I was over on r/TheRewatchables after listening to our boys on the Tropic Thunder rewatchables pod and man there are some haters on some hoe shit over there. Joel opening the pod wondering/complaining aloud why the pod wasn't happening at Bill's house with catering after wondering/complaining across multiple Tailgate episodes about why he hasn't been asked to be on the Rewatchables at all was the most on brand Joel move I laughed my ass off. The dynamic Joel and Van bring to literally any pod as a tag team is top tier must listen for me. If you dont like Joel I dont like you, man.

Ringer Tailgate crew feels Pavia is a sure College Hall of famer. What’s the argument for him being a hall of famer? 2x conference player of the year, 2nd in the Heisman voting. I don’t think he is. What do yall think Ringer fam?

To add his accomplishments: Led the SEC in passing yards and touchdowns in 2025, Vanderbilt all time leading rusher for a QB, won the Johnny Unitas award. 2x conference player of the year.

Bill insinuated this on the Ghostbusters rewatchables episode this past week, did anybody else clock it?

he essentially said Joel was asked to move to LA (for a pay increase + bigger role i’d imagine, Rob Mahoney and Joanna Robinson have both made this leap very recently) but declined and said he was happy staying in Maryland.

thoughts? i know Joel just moved up to MD very recently like within the last 2 years and the thought of moving cross country again so soon probably overwhelming, but man i think it’s a bummer cuz he’s genuinely skyrocketed to being one of my favorite people at The Ringer and would love to get more of him on video pods with real production, mixing it up in person with the gang.
