I’m a hot redhead so the struggle is real. I legit couldn’t even hold down a job
Help me
Hair Identity Crisis
(I’m being dramatic with the title. I’m really just curious.) I’ve been a blonde my whole life, like one of those that started white and gradually turned more golden as I got older. When I started my new job last year, all of a sudden people started calling me “Red” or “the girl with the red hair,” “Strawberry,” etc.
I don’t care either way since I’ve always been blonde, but I’ve always LOVED red hair and am curious what actual redheads think? I tried to include a bunch of different lighting.
feel like i'm an imposter
i made a post here before and i was told i am a red head. everybody in real life calls me a redhead and asks if my hair is red but i still feel like an imposter. i feel like my hair is just BARELY red. or the red is so slight that it passes as brown but also makes you question what color you're seeing. when it comes to individual strands, the shades are crazy. i have unmistakably red strands, blonde strands, PLATINUM blonde strands, browns strands, strawberry blonde strands. and i don't really have a whole lot of freckles like real redheads. at least not on my face.
both of my parents are redheads and so are my siblings but they're straight up unmistakably red which may be feeding into my imposter syndrome. there are photos where my hair looks pretty red. others where it looks a weird yellowy goldy orangey blonde. others where it looks just straight brown? sometimes it only looks red at the roots?!?! natural lighting is also crazy. only 1, 5, & 7 don't have natural lighting.
some assurance might be nice? knowing one way or another what everyone thinks?
Hello gingers!
Hello everyone! 37 here and no gray hairs. The only ginger in my family, my mom says I get it from my grandparents who were Irish. Hope everyone is having a great Monday!
I'm a natural red head and grew up where red hair is not uncommon. I now live where there seem to be fewer red haired people, I always notice redheads in public and feel like I should greet them (obviously I don't). I just wonder if they've had similar experiences to me growing up as a red head and things like that.
Does anyone else think the same way?
My hair and I just completed our 39th year around the sun
Just for fun, I had my husband take a photo of my hair inside and outdoors to see how different it looks. I don't think it's started fading yet, but in the sun it does look lighter than I think of it in my head. Also, looking at these photos, I am baffled how my hair comes out looking brown in some pics.
If I had a nickel for every time a black woman in management sexually harassed me while fixating on my ginger hair, I’d have two nickels now 🙃
Had to report to upper management about it. I quite literally puked in the bathroom from how disgusted I felt. Didn’t know the sexualization of gingers also effected guys to this degree
Chameleon Red Hair
Does anybody here have "Chameleon" hair?
Red hair that changes DRASTICALLY due to color, angle and intensity of light.
I have been researching the effects of light on red hair and trying to find others with my hair type and it has proven extremely difficult.
My hair goes from black cherry/Ruby Red in the low light all the way up to completely translucent white gold in the direct sun and many shades of red in between.
If this sounds like you or similar I would LOVE to hear from you!!!
New haircut at the barbershop!
Finally scored my style I've been searching for years, and many a salon, to get right.
Turns out, neighborhood barbershop was the place to go!!
Men with red hair: Do you feel like you were picked on more than the females for having red hair and/or freckles?
I’m so tired of trying to find makeup products that don’t make me look whiter than I am… or insanely odd looking? I found this mascara? Supposedly it’s auburn/orange? But I’ve been fooled once before by these companies, anyways, I’ve tried H2BARH, Tart, revlon, and many many more, and they all just aren’t hitting yk? Does anyone have any recommendations? Or should I just go back to brown/black mascara😔
