Mpv with a crt shader and it feels like the portable Sony TV i wanted as a kid in the 90s

I've got my 477v in the mail on Monday, and I haven't even really got to play a game on it yet. I'm a bit of a rom collector, and I've been going through and getting all of the older systems going the way I want them (Atari 2600-PSX/GBC.) And then I got to Gamecube....

I love how GammOS has retroarch preconfigured so well. Many games with the native dolphin core seem to work...okay, at least. Quite a bit of stutters. But then a game like Animal Crossing runs at about 60% speed. Also, when closing a game on that core, retroarch takes a 'concerning' number of seconds to close.

Stand alone dolphin seems to have identical performance, with two tweaks: games close instantly, and I've bene able to get the GCN splash screen to come up on boot. Becasue GammaOS did not have standalone dolphin pre-installed, I am assuming Gamma expects us to use the native core. That being said, I have two questions:

1. Is there any way to tweak GC performance on this machine? Results so far have been unimpressive, and it makes me concerned for the future when I work on PSP, PS2, Wii, and Dreamcast.
2. Has anybody successfully got the GC splash screen working in the native dolphin core, and can tell me how to do that?

The RG 477V V1.38 firmware update is now officially released. This update adds the Control Center, a new game frontend, and other features. The specific update log is as follows:

🎮 New Game Frontend: RG Home

The RG Home application has been added to the desktop. Click directly to enter the new game frontend interface.

⚙️ Control Center Function Added

The system introduces a Control Center module. After adding the function block in the pull-down status bar and turning on the switch, you can slide out the Control Center from the left or right edge of the screen.

🕹️ New Key Mapping Function Added

Key mapping support is newly added. Users can now open it directly through the Control Center for key configuration.

🎨 Palette Support Added to Settings

A palette option has been added to the system settings, allowing users to adjust the screen color temperature.

🛠️ Fixed Known Bugs

Fixed known system bugs.

**Pasar de la pantalla pequeña de la consola a tener un panel virtual gigante frente a mis ojos es otro nivel. La calidad de imagen es brutal y lo mejor es la privacidad; puedo estar en el bus, en una sala de espera o en un café, y nadie sabe que estoy en medio de una misión épica.

🕹️RG477V: Pura nostalgia en la palma de mi mano.

La potencia de esta maquinita es increíble. Se come los juegos retro sin sudar y con ese diseño 4:3 que tanto nos gusta a los que crecimos con una GameBoy en la mano. La ergonomía y los controles se sienten premium, ideales para sesiones largas.

💼 El Kit de Supervivencia

Como ven en la foto, lo tengo todo organizado. Entre el estuche rígido de Xreal y mi case protector para la consola, me olvido de rayones o golpes. Es literalmente: Llegar, conectar y jugar.

Lo que más disfruto:

• Adiós al dolor de cuello: Ya no tengo que estar encorvado mirando hacia abajo. Juego con la espalda recta mientras las gafas hacen el trabajo sucio.

• Inmersión total: Me pongo los audífonos, las Xreal, y el mundo exterior desaparece.

• Versatilidad: Si me canso de jugar, conecto la consola con un programa de streming a las gafas y me veo una peli como si estuviera en el IMAX.

Si le apetece el gaming o simplemente amas la tecnología funcional, este combo es un camino de ida.
