I'm picking them up on SUNDAY and I still don't know what to name them! Helpppp!

For the black coated baby I'm almost certain on Corax or Nero. But I SOOOO want something silly for the other one! Something like Sock, Table, Glitter, Helicopter. Just something weird or silly! Preferably a word that means something weird or silly, but isn't way to obvious! Please help me out!

Help convince my partner that rats are THE BEST!

i absolutely ADORE rats, i always have! i used to breed them, throughout my years ive owned at least 25, they’ve always been a big part of my life & my love for animals, specifically rodents!

He thinks theyre gross & stinky ): he said they freak him out.

Note; i will be buying rats when we move to our new place as he doesnt tell me what i can and cant have, (thankfully xD), but id love to help him understand and see that they are literally just little dogs!

Rafe for tax! Miss my ol boy

Ran Run Rat - Yokohama, Japan

About a month ago, I visited a rat cafe in Japan and it was my first time with rats. I’d had hamsters before and got bitten so many times I was worried they’d be similar. The owner assured me I could pick them up and hold them but I was still a bit nervous. However, the rats were surprisingly calm, especially the older boys. The younger girls were super energetic and skittish but still very inquisitive! They’re so adorable! They had plenty of space to roam and the owner explained she teaches them a few tricks after I showed her a video of a rat driving a mini motorised car I’d seen online. Highly recommended! A must visit for rat lovers if you find yourself in Japan!

"Help, dad gave me medicine TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER! How dare he?!!" - Noah probably

I don't think it's mites after further investigation (see previous post for context) but I will treat it as such 💁🏻 Better safe than sorry. Noah is not happy

Does anyone else have a rat that just stares?

This is my boy Remy, he likes to become a puddle in random places, but also just stare at me for long periods of time, I think sometimes hes sleeping with his eyes open, but other times he stares at me and boggles.

First time owner cage

Hey, I'm trying to take in as much info as I can and I know these aren't the most preferred cages (I will save up for a critter one!), but I currently have my two little rescue boys in here.

I've taken out three platforms and just left two to put water/ wash bowls on (they prefer these to a bottle, more natural i guess?) and their litter trays.

I do want to get a perspex box for digging at the bottom, but I'm currently using a cardboard box with shredded paper for them to forage for treats in.

Is there anything else you'd recommend? I'm unsure of substrate for the bottom level for them if I'm honest.

I've had my boys a few months now and they are getting better but definitely still a bit shy. I don't know what their experience was before but they were both rescued feeder rats so I'm being patient with them 🧡

My bf thinks he brown

In person he's that lovely shade of light grey blue rats have. Sadly my phone doesn't show that color off well and apparently looks brown to the bf anytime I send a photo

What color do y'all think he is?
