Do all these drones just kinda look like crap?

I bought a Potensic Atom 2 and I'm not real impressed with the image quality. It looks like dashcam in the sky. Is it possible to be satisfied with picture quality under $1000?

I'm aware the Atom 2 is an entry level drone, but it kinda looks like crap on anything bigger than a phone screen. It's also not just me either, the videos I've seen here seem to kinda support what I see.

Once you move past "oh hey I'm flying a drone, cool there's my house!" and look at the footage on a computer to edit, you can definitely tell it's not great.

I bought the Atom 2 because it seems to be roughly on par with the Mini 4K and also has the quickshots so I got it. I paid about $250 out the door for mine and I'm kinda wondering if I should just bite the bullet and go to a Mini 5 Pro.

I am kinda hoping for at least a iPhone 17 level quality image. I also wonder if I should just stick with the Atom 2 because of the price...

Photos from today 👀

3rd flight with this drone (Atom 2)! I did, in fact, launch from that gravel bar in the stream in the 3rd pic, and POV at eye-level from the drone in the 4th pic. Was good practice flying around overhanging trees etc lol.

My Potensic Atom 2 won’t take off. It shows “Unable to take off”, but it doesn’t explain the reason.

It also gets very hot ??

Has anyone already had this issue and knows how to fix it?
Just for precision I tried on a plane surface and everywhere and with 100% of battery.

Thanks.

So I’m like I know for a fact that this thing is good. Messed with a couple things did some stuff and Sure enough I put the little guy in the air and it is amazing.

I wish Reddit wouldn’t compress so much
