Stuck in the Shady House?

Please help me if you can! I'm getting so frustrated I'm on the verge of giving up on the game.

I'm in the Shady house, just past ula ula meadow. I've explored the mansion and the area about 50 times but when I go to Grunt at the door upstairs to give him the three passwords, he keeps telling me I need to explore the mansion further to learn about team skull.

I'm at a complete loss as to what to do. I went back to Aether house and route 15, and then came back and explore ula ula meadow again. I've battled everyone. I am completely stuck.

Does anyone have any ideas or tips of how to get past this bit?

Why is it so hard to SOS Gabite?

Ive been leveling up a really great pokemon with own tempo (for krokorok's swagger) and safety glasses (for nightime? Sandsorm). Great move pool gread defense, attack etc. The only problem is that krokorok is a massive pain to SOS, maybe im unlucky? It FEELS LIKE he calls for help like 1/2 of the time and other pokemon hardly show up. Also the embargo forcing to use PP is kind of a pain. Pls help me out on this one😭

No sé qué hacer

Finally after 14 brutal days my beautiful shiny

In a dream ball to boot!

This was actually so so much work. (Still worth it tho!)

I literally restarted my sword save, after moving all the important Pokémon, and replayed the game just to get shiny Necrozma.

I thought it’d be a sinple 2-3 days of grinding dynamax adventure but I was wrong.

First of all the only way to actually hunt Necrozma is by complete the rest of the crown tundra. Aka, the Regi’s, the birds, and calrex. BUT to finish calyrex’s line you have to catch him and to catch him you need to be the false champion…

So after a couples of hours later and tired I finally get to start the hunt

But wait I have to actually find Necrozma in the dens. Boom 1 day of just trying to finding looking for Necrozma later I can ACTUALLY start hunting

3 days later, nothing but a shiny diggersby which I couldn’t keep.

(I couldn’t catch it because I was using the same dream ball over and over and resetting if Necrozma wasn’t shiny. This way i didn’t have ti spend more time grinding for dream balls)

I give up, tired and exhausted. But I remember, the shiny charm would triple my chances! That would be lots of help wouldn’t it? I just had to complete the galar Pokédex couldn’t be too hard, I mean I did do the legends arceus one. Poor me forgot all about version exclusives. Thank god for Pokémon home’s gts.

Anyways after 2-3 more days of grinding the Pokédex I can finally start the grind again, but I was exhausted and had to rest for the next couple days.

3 days later I open it up and try to 4-5 runs max to be more productive. Final run of the night I see it, the beautiful cobalt blue shine. Only took 69 hours of total playtime hah…

I’m so happy rn so sorry for the yap which I’m too lazy to spell check, but this is just me trying to vent the pain. Either way the gain is so rewarding!!

Anyways I love lunala and Necrozma so much so do you think I should keep resetting Pokémon sword to farm a box of cosmog since it takes like an hour tops to get one?

Aether Foundation employees appreciation post!

Anyone else really liked them? I love the futuristic helmet uniforms and the character designs as well. Their battle theme slaps! I also appreciate Aether Paradise. I remember going back there because I like the place and the background music.

So my Charjabug finally evolved into Vikavolt, and I feel a little dumb for not doing this earlier

So for context, right now in the story I'm at the Aether Paradise raid, and I just finished the fight with Guzma there before meeting Lusamine again. During this fight he used a Vikavolt and I was like "well wait surely mine could've evolved by now". For the record I already knew Charjabug didn't evolve traditionally through level up and was one of those where you had to be in specific places. So I decided to look up which places the evolution worked in and apparently specifically in USUM it can evolve at a place called Blush Mountain, which is a place I completely skipped over when I went to that route originally and that I probably could've went to way earlier (though even then, It probably wouldn't have clicked to give my Charjabug a random Rare Candy in this place, though I guess there was also this one guy there that could've evolved it if I fought him too and if I was too close to evolving, though I skipped him as I wanted to get it done with already). This is an important moment for me as Grubbin was my second ever Pokémon I caught on this playthrough and I knew I wanted a Vikavolt since the start since they're cool and I know they're pretty dang strong (or atleast fairly decent in the grand scheme of things idk). So yeah, that's my story. I wonder if anyone else evolved their Charjabug way later than they could have lol

Why won’t my eevee evolve?

So, for some reason my eevee won’t evolve into a sylveon. I’ve looked at it on a save editor and its happiness is full, knows fairy type moves, and he has 4/5 hearts on the Pokémon refresh. I’m so confused, Any help would be nice

Update: The EEVEE is simply bugged I think, I moved it to home and into Violet to try and evolve it and it still won’t evolve. I think I just need to hunt a new one…

Gift from my wife

It was my birthday recently. My lovely wife got me a New 2DS, as well as a sealed copy of UltraSun. I got Moon when it came out but didn't play it much, then finished my playthrough during the pandemic, so admittedly I haven't played through much of Alola. I'm looking forward to revisiting the region with fresh eyes

Edit: thank you all for the kind words and well wishes. I've been telling my wife that everyone agrees that she is very special. this isn't even the first (or second) time she's gotten me a hard-to-find gift. I hope your response helps her see how great of a wife she is, and how lucky I am to have her

First spinda can’t figure this out…

I just caught my first spinda, and I tried looking at the pattern charts, and I can’t find this pattern anywhere… is the Internet missing something or am I missing something?

my first ever game on console

I used to have so much fomo when the 3ds released. When I saw my friends play with their DSes, my heart used to hurt a bit because I knew that my family couldn't shell that much on a gaming system for me. Even when we eventually did have the money for leisure, I was already too shy and too money conscious to ask for anything "childish" and "impractical" for myself.

I've never played a pokemon game legitimately or on its original hardware, but still, i consider myself a lifelong pokemon fan.

It's completely optional (an expensive option at that) to buy a 3ds and a game in 2026. I, out of all people, should know that. However, there's something special with playing a game i've given so many hours to the way it was meant to be played for the first time.

i just finished lana :)
