I have been listening to the weakest beast tamer for months where that the 30 mins free ad that turned into only 25 minutes free is now 0 minutes free I would not have wasted money unlocking so many episodes if I realized they were going to go to every single episode paid and don't private message me offers for the audio as much as I hate being cheated I'm not going to trust anyone.
As a truck driver I listen to a lot of podcasts, audiobooks, and music, but I also listen to Pocket FM which has a lot of great stories. I’m listening to a brand new one that just came out called Rouge Circuit. It’s a Cyberpunk series and I love it. It releases new episodes every day and makes you want more. I highly recommend it if you’re into Cyberpunk.
I’ve been using pocket FM for close to a month and just wanted to put some things out there that I’ve noticed when it comes to the coins/offers.
First off 9 coins per episode is a pretty heavy price imo but that’s besides the point. When I first tried it out I noticed the offers for the coins seemed pretty decent as well as the offers for ads to unlock episodes. The first really good offer I got was for somewhere along the lines of 350 coins for a dollar and so I took it, when that offer didn’t come up again after a few days I decided to go in further and 697 coins for 29.99. Now when I go back the offers are for far fewer coins for more $$$.
The same has happened with the free coins for ads, it’s making me watch more ads to unlock episodes.
Just wanted to put that out there for anyone thinking of trying it out so you know what to expect. My experience with it is brief but for now it seems like the more you’re willing to give them the more they’re gonna ask for.
Definitely curious though if it’s just me or if anyone has had a different experience.
I've collected my free coins for showing up, and the streak coins. I've never intentionally spent any, but the system says I bought a few episodes.

Seeing good performers being pushed to accept “Not Met Expectations” ratings is honestly heartbreaking. (link) This doesn’t feel like the same Pocket FM I once joined.
The culture and DNA of the company started changing after the Series D funding came in. From 2024 onwards, there was a wave of new leaders entering the organisation, along with their internal power circles becoming stronger. One such group, often referred to internally as the “Byju’s cartel,” was built with friends and families of the Function Head. It has gained the maximum influence, with the Function head turned out to be the CEO's right hand. He is now the second most powerful voice in the company.
What is even more disappointing is the lack of empathy in the system today. Someone who had just become a father was shown the door, while another leader from the so-called “Byju cartel” was promoted during maternity leave. The contrast says a lot about the priorities being rewarded internally.
What hurts the most is watching the old culture disappear. Many of the people who stood by the company during its toughest days are now leaving. Somewhere along the way, the founders seem to have forgotten that these were the people who helped build the company when things were difficult — not the opportunistic leaders who joined later when the company started seeing money and growth.
That’s the saddest part of it all.

I am a student stuck with his internship in a rural area, got pretty much nothing to do after my work, recently started listening to MVS on Pocketfm (as the narration is really nice) but the premium and coins are very expensive.

Hi all so my mom has a pocket FM account and she’s been rocking with it STRONG since 2021. Well recently we just got new phones and for some reason, it logged her out and didn’t save the log in information. She’s full on panicking right now and I’m trying to help her. She’s tried all her emails and even her phone number yet it says she has no listening history. Any ideas?
Hey folks — I’m usually a ghost story writer, but I’ve always wanted to take a proper swing at fantasy.
I’m trying it out on Pocket FM since the format suits how I write (short chapters, roughly 1.5k–2k words). I come from a fantasy/RPG background (D&D and the like), so it felt like a good fit to finally give it a go.
The story’s called Marked by the Dragon’s Eye. If anyone’s up for it, I’d really appreciate honest feedback on the first 4 episodes — what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’d change. If you think I’m wasting my time, tell me that too.

Ich möchte hier mal nur nachfragen, ob ich der einzige bin der dieses Problem hat.
Wenn ich morgens ca. 7 - 8 Uhr die App öffne und bei meinen Geschichten in der Bibliothek nachsehe, sind da bei den meisten 2 neue Folgen freigeschaltet. Daraufhin lasse ich dann eine Werbung für eine dritte Folge laufen.
Soweit so gut.
Wenn ich dann aber die Folgen für später runterladen möchte, heißt es links oben in der Ecke das 0 Foögen verfügbar sind und die Filgen lassen sich sann auch nicht runterladen.
Des weiteren, ist es jetzt auf einmal so, das ich weder die runtergeladenen noch die nur freigeschalteten Folgen abspielen kann.
Ich drücke wieder und wieder auf Play, aber es passiert einfach nichts.
Und bevor jetzt jemand meint, ich hätte ne schlechte verbindung:
