I lowered my exp to 0.1x for a more hardcore experience and what I got instead was better paced progression and MORE content.

Originally I wanted to set the exp to 0.1x and then from level 15 onwards, raise it by 0.1 every 5 levels to partially counteract the slowdown you get as you level more and try to make a more stable progression curve and maintain the challenge from the early game a bit long

So at level 15 I raised it to 0.2 and at level 20 I lowered it back to 0.1 because I much preferred the slower pace.

I never realized just how much content was available at the lower levels that was just glossed over because I was "power leveling" without realizing it.

I'm learning dungeon routes, I'm breeding "low tier" pals because I simply do not have access to higher tier ones (I'm not allowing myself to breed any pals I haven't caught with the exception of orserk cause they're my GOAT) and I'm engaging with weapons I never thought to touch in typical progression because I flew right by them. I even have time to make tons of ammo for a gun BEFORE it becomes obsolete.

I'm also fully exploring the map simply because I didn't speedrun to a ragnahawk/beacon by playing too quickly.

It's insane how much content I unlocked by limiting the content I could engage with lol. It almost feels like the world was actually designed with this slower pace in mind and then sped up last minute.

I'm currently level 28 and I WISH that at level 15 I didn't set it to 0.2x for a bit just so I could live in the lower levels a smidge longer. In fact, I kind of wish there was a 0.05x option because sometimes 0.1x feels too fast lol.

Some things I learned

  1. Disable raids: Turns out, even if YOU scale at 0.1x, the raids do not lol. I'd keep them on at the start and pray for wandering merchants to catch though to solve your eventual paladium problem. I've had frequent raids 10-20 levels above my average.

  2. Breeding is absurdly broken and even more so at low exp. After making my orserk (and splatterina) I saw the potential problem and implemented the rule where I can only breed pals I've captured. This of course led to me fighting anubis FAR below level just to catch one and I failed quite a few times

  3. Gold is king, run dungeons, sell lotus' and buy your way into things you couldn't typically access. notably, ammo and early spheres. Early pals cannot keep up with some production demands so flex your wealth on them.

  4. You now have time to do that thing before it becomes irrelevant and that unlocks SO much more content to engage with

  5. I have a new appreciation for most ground mounts.

  6. Because of lotus' and supply drops, your stats actually still progress at a decent pace

  7. You're about to get so good at fishing

  8. it seems even at 0.1x exp, capture bonuses are still applying fully, so if you want to "power level" you can mass catch pals, so for anyone on the fence about it, there's always the option. IMO I wish I could lower this as well as I probably would have settled at 0.3-0.5x exp instead.

  9. Increase the number of pals allowed at the base in your world settings. It makes early game bases semi-automatic so you're not stuck spending the first 20 hours just chopping trees and mining stone.

I now realize I wrote a wall of text so

TL;DR: Slower pacing with low EXP is surprisenly a LOT more fun than you think. If you feel the base games pacing is too fast give 0.1x exp a shot.

The Curve Module should be changed to behave like a boomerang and come back to the user if the ball misses.

I honestly can't see any real reason to pick this module up unless i can't wait for the next upgrade. This module needs a buff to make it more appealing to everyone and i think having it boomerang back to the user if it misses would help a ton.

How to farm IV fruits?

The method I saw being recommended the most is to hunt mimogs. And I tried that but even with 3 starred Blazehowl Noct and turning up the pal rate to 3, it's just too slow...

Each fruit costs 500 dog coins and i can get maybe 600-ish per run.

Moreover, I don't want to keep this world setting on permanently...

Is there anyway that does *not* involve grinding for hours upon hours?

And if not, at least some way to make this more tolerable?

Pal Professor as NPC

As he is producing insane amounts of high quality Palworld content, i would like him as and NPC in the 1.0 Update.

If possible make him able to have all skills but only be able to use them on research.

What do you think? :)

Is there a Mod to help pick stuff up quicker, because my god.

Even using transport pals, clearing out this area of Trees, then picking the wood up takes FOREVER!

I think if I use a RPG the tress dont drop the wood and fiber but im on a new server and sadly dont have one.

This had to be the worst Xenolord ever, considerign both parents had together in total 3 rainbow passives.

why am I struggling so much with food??

First two images is my food base I just set up in the cherry blossom zone and the last two are my main base (food builds moved over to new base so looks barren). I cant keep up with food needs and if I just scale up the food plots the hamsters cant keep up. I'm trying to get on salads but should I just mass spam berries? food base also has pals for cake making. I'm also full struggling with pal capturing with anything over 35lvl+ and I'm HELLA behind on my gear (wooden club) but not sure how much that would help here

no clue what I'm doing wrong but its definitely something :/

just looking for tips on what I'm missing as well, that's why there's a lot of photos too.

Please and Thank you everybody

When it rains, oh it pours...

After a 100 hours in game, I'm at last, getting my second favorite pal.
Bred my first ever Frostallion today, was not expecting the sudden IVs. Neither parent had any perfect IV.

> Btw should I go for Serenity or Musclehead as the fourth passive?

I burst into flames and take heavy damage as I approach this dungeon entrance on Mount Obsidian.

Map location on the second picture.

Is there phantom lava here or something? I start to melt before I even touch it.

Anyone want to talk about why their sanity never decreases while breeding? *sipstea

First time ever catching a Jetragon!

Tried catching one at level 40, died immediately. Tried again at level 50, died halfway through and then learned about Pal condensing and skills.

Hit level 60 and first thing I did was try to conquer him and look at the passives it came with!

Do pals stop breeding?

Ive been noticing that my pals stop breeding after theres like 21 eggs. Do they stop breeding after 21 eggs or do they do breeding faster after i pick up those eggs or do I have to wait a whole nother long session for them to breed. 😭😅

Found this at a convention two weekends ago. Anyone found any other Pals in the wild?

Was at Supanova (Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia).

What are some non-negotiable world settings you use?

Like the title says. What are those world settings you must either enable or disable in your world before you can enjoy your playthrough? For me I always disable item weight, no item durability and death penalties. I hate having to worry about encumbrance and I hate having to run all the way back for my loot.

Electricity and Crude oil

Hey everyone,

I bought Palworld 2 weeks ago, and i’m in love with it. 60 hours in now and still so much to do.

As i just reached lvl 15 and unlocked the crude oil extractor, i decided to move my farming base to the mushroom island with 2 oil spots close to eachother. As i built the oil extractor, i noticed my beakon couldnt keep up with the energy the extractor required. So i switched both my beakons for Orserk and still i struggle with the energy supply. On my main base/crafting base i have all the assembly lines and other electric crafting workshops, byt never struggle with electricity. So i had a few questions:

- will placing a second generator help witg the supply of electricity

-Will the large generator make a big difference?

Or any advice regarding this matter would be great.

Also on my farming base im not sure if the traits are optimized, how should the ratio of “planting:watering:Gathering” be?

Thanks in advance!!
