I’m completely done with my country (India)! A 3 year old girl was raped on her first day at school, the 57yo rapist got bail, and Indian lawyers on Reddit are defending him.

I feel physically sick even typing this. I just need to get this out of my system because I feel like I'm losing my goddamn mind living in this society.

On April 30th, a 3 year old girl in New Delhi, India went to her first day of kindergarten. A 57-year-old school caretaker took her to an isolated area on the premises and raped her. When she got home crying in pain, her mother found out and immediately went to the police.

And what did the police do? They made the traumatized family wait for hours at the station. The Deputy Commissioner of Police literally threatened the parents instead of cooperating with them (which, of course, the corrupt police force is now officially denying in their PR statements, because God forbid they admit they protect monsters).

But wait, it gets so much worse. Despite strong opposition from the prosecution, a court GRANTED THE MONSTER BAIL on May 7th.

A 3-year-old. Raped. Bail. Let that sink in. What an absolute joke of a "justice" system.

But honestly, what fully broke me today wasn't just the corrupt system. It’s my own countrymen.

I shared this news on the indialaw subreddit, hoping for some outrage or at least some legal insight into how such a gross miscarriage of justice could even happen. Instead? I got multiple comments actually defending the rapist. From a sub populated by Indian lawyers! If the very people who are supposed to defend rape victims in the future are defending a man who assaulted a toddler, what hope is left?

I’ve been on Reddit for 8 years. I cycle through accounts a lot for privacy (this is literally my 60th account), and I have never, ever seen the Indian side of Reddit this vile. Ever since the platform started becoming mainstream in India around December 2024, the demographics have completely shifted. It is now completely overrun with this pro-rape, misogynistic, chauvinistic, incelcore, toxic patriarchal garbage. It’s a massive echo chamber of toxic masculinity justifying the most horrific crimes against women and literal children.

I can’t do this anymore. I'm seriously leaving Reddit for good because my mental health can't take it. But the terrifying reality is that it's not just the app, it's the people living around me.

I have lost all hope in the Indian police, who are too busy taking bribes and intimidating the relatives of victims. I have lost all hope in a "justice" system that takes the side of rapists and encourages their actions by letting them walk free.

I am making serious plans to leave this country before 2027. If I can't manage to get out, I'm just going to go off the grid and live completely isolated from this sick, rotting society. I just can't breathe here anymore. Thanks for hearing my rant. Goodbye All of Reddit.

I didn't want to post on this to give more relevance but I think it should be expanded upon

It is regarding post someone made here about Dananeer's clothing and she got badly criticized for morally policing

https://www.reddit.com/r/PakistaniDramaRants/comments/1t7brf7/dananeer_is_such_a_hypocrite/

I stayed away from discussion because I don't care whatever someone is wearing but problem is there and there are multiple problems we need to address.

  1. Firstly, our spaces mostly get over taken by ppl from other side of border and then they try to shape discussions per their choice. Whole narrative gets hijacked by a parosi mulk. You will notice in pakistani subs specially like main pakistan sub you won't hear pkstani opinions, you will hear what most estern neighbours are writing, that also happens because atleast in that main sub moderators allow this to happen, the number of ppl who reached out to me in dms thanking me for moderating a sub keeping that trolling out had left me shocked, disturbed and really sad how our ppl here feel so helpless, and how many wanted a pro pak peaceful space, but I left that sub because of some disagreements and even that small was made to get brigaded by main pak sub and paklounge. For other pk subs, mods never bother moderating and they are filled with hate on pakistanis, like pakpunjab is a prime example, their mod litr would allow across border trolls to abuse ppl to get more traffic and subscribers in his sub.

So, if someone will make a post on this, majority comments will be accusing op of morally policing someone, when you will see same parosi accs will go in different subs and will talk some awful stuff on looks of pakstani actresses but suddenly here they will pretend to be some sort of woman's rights flagbearers.

Also, there will be absolute lack of respect shown towards pakistani religious sentiments and culture. I can get pakstani getting upset but why an outsider?

  1. Suddenly, fandoms, fans, and specially a certain group will take every normal opinion and try to give a wrong spin of their choice. Not everything is moral policing.

For instance, someone not liking what Dananeer was wearing purely on basis of judging outfit, will be labelled as narrowminded, morally policing her. It was so sickening when bunch of clowns jumped in where even a mod of this drama sub was calling me weirdo for saying Dananeer needed better stylist over her skirt jacket outfit.

It was an opinion on outfit she was wearing. And i could be commenting on anyone's outfit, what is wrong with liking or not liking?

I am.not sure, are we supposed to praise every outfit everyone wears? I was shocked at paindu behavior, like you can't have opinion on clothes. And that was regardless of anyone's skin show.

  1. I dunno if the other user who had made post on Dananeer has issues with her clothes, but what I find extremely stupid in her publicity stunt was being irresponsible. Ir was reckless of her to use clothes to create a conteoversy only to come out and say, oh I was already wearing clothes to pander to your choice, yet you accused me, when messaging shoulf have been, I am wearing what I like.

Noone should be given hate for what they are wearing. But she also knows the kind of reaction her illusion tights and purposely pulled up skirt would illicit. She did it like hania and many others do attention seeking stunts

It was all so clear, she posted it, then it was promoted on GL, then backlash was purposely intensified then she knew she will come forth posting, 'oh no it was illusion' and add a new thing to her vicitmization list.

The problem here isn't that she wore whatever she wanted. She wore and did it to get attention and keep herself in news.

The issue here is nowadays actors are not seeking fame on basis of talent and stuff, they are acting ragebaity cheap tiktokkers who just want to stay in news whether thru negative way or positive.

Dananeer is a product of army brat privilege and comes and acts very entitled, she is part of that rotten core, so her tonedeafness will know no bounds.

I could have said she should ignore these shenanigans and focus on improving her acting skills to gain more attention but I can't even say this because Dananeer doesn't have any skills to become a good actor even if she tries.

So, eventually better to resort to stuff like illusion tighs, and etc.

The point here was. Whatever she wore, her messaging shouldn't have been,'oh look I am.fully clothed'.

It should have been she has changed her clothing style.or whatever and what she is wearing defines her. And she doesn't need to explain.

But what can we say about low i q celebs who would do anything reckless just to get any sort of publicity and attention. So she wants every actress who would dress up that way to always have to whip out some sort of explanation?

Dananeer is such a hypocrite.

Oh plz, baji just wanted to get the job done. But when the issue came up, suddenly it became, “Oh, that wasn’t my skin, I was wearing fleece.” Yeah, everyone knows you were wearing fleece, but it gave exactly the impression you wanted people to perceive. That’s why you wore it. When you build an image of “Oh, I don’t wear such clothes,” and people start liking you for that very image, changing that thing is naturally going to bring backlash. Why are you crying over it now? You call it an illusion, but wasn’t the intention and message basically the same? If you wanted to create that illusion in the first place, why act surprised when people point it out? Such hypocrisy.

Also, why is her comment section always limited, unlike others who keep theirs open? She only keeps praises or mild criticism for herself there, and deletes comments which are harsh reality checks and block the accounts, while in other pages ppl r bashing her and calling out her hypocrisy.

Ahad deserves better

I was listening to Dananeer’s interview on Fuchsia, and it made me feel that if Ahad and Dana are actually dating, the relationship might not last long. Dana seems very independent and emotionally strong when it comes to relationships. Maybe it’s just the way she presents herself in interviews, but sometimes it feels like she wants to show that she doesn’t really need anyone.
In my opinion, Ahad would be happier with someone who is more caring, emotionally expressive, and respectful toward him.

What sort of paindupan is this? I would suggest Dananeer to take a break from industry

Who says this nonsense, my spouse will feel uncomfortable? And her family is so simple and not okay.

Please see a therapist and stop bullshitting while sitting in the industry.

It's so tonedeaf like she keeps bsing as if rest of the girls are something poor character.

If your spouse is uncofmortable with ur past so u are gonna seek someone who also never had past? While you actually DID have a past? What's she on about? Get help.

Why blame the whole world when she herself posted those pics?? Dananeer bajis needs to chill

O Bhai, they are audience of Pakistani drama, she got famous due to these very ppl and build a specific image of herself jiske liye ppl like and follow her and watch her dramas, fame ek tarah ke values se le rhi hai kar kuch aur rahi hai to public to public hai, react karegi hi, otherwise mamya jaisa hota if she would have shown this earlier,if some praise her, other's are criticising her the same way, she must have been ready for these reactions isiliye she posted it, why always protect her like a baby,

Not only dannaeer, Durre fishan as well. Few days back I saw the interview of a male actor, not naming him because didn't like lot of his takes but will surely mention his struggle, it was awful to hear of long painful, fruitless career he had to go thru before landing a meaningful role, it was kind of disturbing to see how someone who is by miles better performer than these nepos like hamza sohail, dananeer, Durre fishan faced that shocking amount of struggle.

Then, I looked at some no name background actresses, despite being fair, pretty and all they struggled for years and years to get out of supporting sister characters.

Lot of actors or actresses who we see make their names rather quick, many a times, they have someone in their relatives in the industry, just that they hide it and noone knows until 10, 11 yrs of them into showbiz.

But I think real awful part comes when non actors like Durre fishan would come and despite not being able to say 1 dialogue correctly, she will bag lead roles.

Same with Army brats and cheap tiktokkers like Dananeer, her dad is a brigadier who was recently found involved ina scam, she got her ISPR drama because of it.

Then, her whole career was handed to her in a platter, I tried watching Meem say Mohabbat, it was so awful, she was constantly squeaking squeaking screeching, I was like what's up with her, could she just act normal?

Also, rem lot of these shows become a major hit because or auduences from other side of border who don't speak fluent urdu and their own movie industry's acting standards are way beneath pakistani tv industry, so they can't ever be a judge of pak tv acting.

Also, there is new trend with attention seeking actresses like hania, dananeer etc. When they lack talent, get flak for stuff, they start some weird attention seeking posting, like dananeer bringing up acne, hania always using woman card, like hania is the most hilarious case tho, she will do everything that will be awful then suddenly, will drop an attention seeking reel about how awful it is for women.

Few days back someone here posted a SS of Dananeer insta, where she wrote about being lucky to travel in her 20s, it was the most tonedeaf shit, woman you are travelling around because your army dad who is still involved in scams has amassed enough wealth to last ur family a lifetime.

Thanks to ur dad's influence you have landed enough projects to earn, and imagine being so tone deaf to casually post travelling in 20 when you have no acting skills to serve, your entire career is handed to you thanks to your dad. Have respect for actual takented hardworking ppl!!

And then she felt she isn't getting enough attention, she went on to use same playbook followed by other actors for attention seeking, pick an issue and whine, she picked acne.

If people like Durre fishan and Dananeer will keep getting main roles just because of background, will new talented actresses with no background won't be forced into accepting casting couch offers? They will have limited chance of getting hired on talent, industry is filled with predators, look at Umer mukhtar case.

Whatelse will these new girls do? And I am focusing here on female actors more because it is usually female actors who face such predatory casting.

Dannaeer, durrefishan, hum tv even likes of kubra khan (yes she came thrpugh ahmed butt's wife rabia khan's support) etc all are part of problem pushing genuine actresses into casting couch.

Now agar acne ho gayi hai tau go and get treatment, you are literally here riding on ur dad's coattail, so either get out of the industry if u gotta whine after snatching someone's right or just shutup and sit in a corner.
