Launched in 1910, she was the first warship built/launched for Australia. She was decommissioned In 1928 and sold for scrap.

Her and the destroyer Swan were stripped down to their hulks. In 1934 they were under tow down the Hawkesbury River to Syndey to be fully scrapped. A gale changed plans as Swan foundered and Parramatta broke free of her lines and ran aground opposite Milson Island and was abandoned.

In 1973, Parramatta's bow and stern where cut off and turned into memorials as the rest of the hulk was partially scrapped

Back on the road with United 4 Saipan – We need your help to reach families in need! 🏝️💪

Hafa Adai everyone!

Today was my first day back volunteering with United 4 Saipan, and it feels so good to be back on the road helping our community. I previously volunteered with the team during Super Typhoon Soudelor, and although we are getting a bit of a "late start" for the current recovery, U4S is officially back in full swing to aid families affected by Sinlaku.

We’ve been going house-to-house today to provide aid directly to those who have reached out. Despite the challenges facing our home right now—and the personal hurdles many of us are navigating—helping each other is what keeps this island strong. ❤️

We need your help!

The number of families needing assistance is high, and we are looking for more volunteers to join us or for people willing to donate to the cause.

Want to volunteer? Sign up here: Volunteer Registration Form

Need help or know a family that does? Please fill out the Relief Map form so we can get to you: Relief Map Form

Please visit the @United4Saipan Instagram page for more updates and to see how you can get involved. Let's look out for one another! 🤝✨

The Aichi-Nagoya War Museum

The Aichi-Nagoya War Museum is located in a historic building completed in 1933.

Its old architecture and atmosphere reflect the history of prewar Nagoya.
