Back on the road with United 4 Saipan – We need your help to reach families in need! 🏝️💪

Hafa Adai everyone!

Today was my first day back volunteering with United 4 Saipan, and it feels so good to be back on the road helping our community. I previously volunteered with the team during Super Typhoon Soudelor, and although we are getting a bit of a "late start" for the current recovery, U4S is officially back in full swing to aid families affected by Sinlaku.

We’ve been going house-to-house today to provide aid directly to those who have reached out. Despite the challenges facing our home right now—and the personal hurdles many of us are navigating—helping each other is what keeps this island strong. ❤️

We need your help!

The number of families needing assistance is high, and we are looking for more volunteers to join us or for people willing to donate to the cause.

Want to volunteer? Sign up here: Volunteer Registration Form

Need help or know a family that does? Please fill out the Relief Map form so we can get to you: Relief Map Form

Please visit the @United4Saipan Instagram page for more updates and to see how you can get involved. Let's look out for one another! 🤝✨

Found this little guy taking a soak

A bit of a throw back. I have an outdoor aquarium and from time to time, I find these guys chilling in it. Their constant presence has made me appreciate them so much.

Was on a break and at mid convo found this little guy. My partner couldnt see it, but I did. Thought it was really cool and wanted to share. Sooo tiny ~ unsure what type it is, especially since we dont see the full scale of its body.

Love dogs, especially the big ones. Adopted my Boonie, Spot, from the animal shelter. Chose him since he was the biggest dog in there.

I spoiled him bad. Bought so much. I remember when he got his first bed. He was soo excited. Didnt want to give it up.

Apperently it was his first day in the shelter when I got him. We live on a small island. So when I brought him home, the neighbors said he looked familiar. Appernelty he belong to their friend who was relocating off island.

Pet travel from where I live is hard and expensive. If anything with a dog his size, not avaible.

Its been years now but I still think about the fun we had. I took him everywhere and we would go longboarding.

Id longboard and hed pull me. If he saw me riding without him, hed get my ankles. Even when I biked, he didnt like it when im not holding onto his leash.

Everyone was scared of him because of his size but he was a great dog.

I blame myself everytime I think about it. I never knew about tick disease and thats what got to him. I would buy him bravecto but the animal shelter closed down due to lack of cost and a sudden typhoon hit.

We dont have a vet on island and bravecto is prescribed. No way to protect him. He slowly faded. We'd try our best to remove what was on him. But it got him.

He became sick. And I had to watch him fade.

Around 11pm before my graveyard shift, I woke my brother to help me begin digging.

But I mean without bravecto and a vet on island what could I do? I always look back at his photos. I always talk about how great of a dog he is.

I have new dogs now, and I do my best to give them the best life i could give. The animal shelter reopened and a new animal humane society opened up. We still dont have a vet but we got volunteers who visit.

I hold my dogs close to my heart. It pains to to think about separating myself from them.

We are planning to relocate and with my two dogs now, im doing my best to try and keep them safe and in good homes. I still think about spot everytime. When I see a photo or video of him. I feel guilty. Extremely guilty.
